  • CS6 Camera Raw not updated

I am just crossing the CS6 platform (from cs5 after doing an adobe cleaner) in windows XP in order to give it a try before I update my laptop at the end of the summer. My new hardware of the camera is a Nikon D3200. I installed CS6 trial and fully updated via the adobe application manager.

When I try to open the D3200 Raw files I get a dialog box saying "Camera Raw can't open this file" and ordered to update me. When I go into file > update the update is grayed out, as he is not able to be selected.

When I open a JPG file in adobe Camera Raw it shows at the top of the version 7.0.

I downloaded the latest DNG that is compatible with Windows XP SP3, which is 8.3, and I keep getting error messages indicating
««Pdapp.exe"«the entry point procedure InitializeCriticalSectionEx is not found in Kernel32.dll dynamic link library»»

And then Adobe Application Manager appears upwards saying "Failed update - updates cannot be applied" with this explanation

"This patch is not applicable to you. Please check the updates from the Help menu on your product to see a list of the latest available updates. "And he ends by telling me to contact adobe if the problem persists.

  • camera raw not supporting the camera model file

    Hi all;

When I try to open a. 5.5 PS NEF file I get a message that the camera model is not supported by the installed version of Camera Raw.

Any ideas where I can get this upgrade?

    Thank you;

    Chris

    Hello

    Thanks for this information.

Nikon D 7100 is supported by at least camera raw 7.4.

CS 5.5 unfortunately has a maximum support of version 6.7 of camera raw, check here: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/camera-raw-compatible-applications.html

See the complete list of cameras supported with the raw version respective camera here: https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html

So I think its time to upgrade.

Or you can use DNG converter to convert your .nef images in DNG format, and use it.

  • Photoshop Camera RAW not supporting my NEF files.

I have a little. NEF RAW images I shot on a Nikon D800 that has been downloaded from a CF of a Canon Mark III friends card. I transferred on my Macbook Pro using a Nikon transfer software and am able to view the images using the Image of Nikon Viewer, but in the finder of my Mac NAVE icon appears as a blank page, not the normal icon of the NAVE and Camera Raw in Photoshop will not open one of these images. Adobe CS5 and I have updated the plugin to the latest version (6.7.1.340) and have tried it on Adobe CC with the latest plugin for this version as well, and I get the same error message on both:

"Could not complete your request because the file appears to be a model of camera that is not taken in charge by the installed version of Camera Raw. .

" The help documentation Camera Raw for more information, please visit."

I also tried to use the Adobe DNG Converter, but this program seems to not be able to manage these images either, as when I try to convert files, a window opens which says:

" ' The source folder does not contain any supported camera raw files '.

I am sure that the images are in tact, I can see the images in the viewer of Nikon, but even the Nikon software is unable to convert. I don't know if this may have been because the card had already been used on a Canon, and having spent all of a sudden a Nikon can affect the structure of the. NEF file, which would explain why the Nikon software could not convert, but it is not yet possible for the Adobe software to read? What can I do? Please help me.

  • Custom of "opened through bridge CC camera Raw file

Hello. I am trying to open a Camera Raw file to edit it through bridge CC and I get a warning of this ' camera raw editing is not enabled. Camera Raw edition requires a product calling it launched at least once to activate this function. "What does that mean? and how can I solve this problem?

    Hi kellyk

As JohnTSmith says you must have a version of CC of Photoshop installed on your computer.

The Parent to Camera Raw/bridge software is Photoshop because the camera raw plugin is installed on your system with Adobe Photoshop.

Please open Photoshop and edit an image in camera raw by going into the filters and then open the bridge of file > Browse in Bridge and check if the option to edit your images in camera raw directly.

Also make sure that your camera raw plugin is the latest version see: Installer of plug in Camera Raw

  • opening camera raw

I just bought PScs5. The manual is on order! I imported the images as the "versions" of Aperture 3 in psd format that open into PS, but not in camera raw. Is it possible to open these images in camera raw? If I export of A3 as a 'master', I can through a complicated system and raise the image in camera raw. After editing it CR I hit the button 'open image' that puts the image in PS I can't find a simple way to find the CR image. switching on bridge and opening under file > recent will do. But this seems rather laborious. Help would be very appreciated.

    See you soon,.

OK... as expected. A raw file will always call Camera Raw. But if opening sends a tiff or psd for Photoshop directly, it will not open in Camera Raw to Aperture. You must save the tiff on the hard drive, THEN open in Camera Raw... but the downside is so he is therefore more a raw file, but a rendered file. While he opened a TIFF in Camera Raw is easy to do with the right preferences in ACR, PSD will be open in Camera Raw directly. You need an Open as, and select Camera Raw.

Is there a simple way to get an image open in ch to ACR?

No.... a tiff or psd must be saved to disk and then opened.

Switching back between the PS and ACR seems such a basic need, that makes me think has something I have done or not done in the initial download and installation.

What you seem to be trying to do is really complicated... If you want to use Aperture for raw processing, then you should do it. But try to deal with in Aperture and then try to use Camera Raw are not a workflow which is convenient. Once the image open in Photoshop the intention is to do Imaging here, not back in Camera Raw... not for nothing, a more convenient workflow would be to use Aperture for your management but take the naves in Camera Raw to the changes. Courses, then you will need to add the image made to the opening. Personally, I use Photoshop and Lightroom (which the Camera Raw processing pipeline built in) for imaging and retouching. Rendering files then ends up back in Lightroom automatically (if you set it up like that).

  • Camera Raw loses system focus and becomes idle

While working in ACR if I hover over one of the command buttons, Save the Image, Open the Image, Cancelor done a few seconds the 'bubble' for the poster button and as soon as I move the mouse again the entire Camera Raw windows loses system focus and becomes inactive (each tab, menu, controls, etc., becomes gray).  To return to the development of the system, move the mouse to the taskbar of windows 7, then returned in Camera Raw.  If the fullscreen in Camera Raw box is active the only way to regain the focus system is to press the Windows key twice on the keyboard and move the mouse over the taskbar tray.  This is getting quite frustrating.  Clues?

It is not normally do, I assure you.  Normally the ToolTips just pop up and Camera Raw remains active.

You have installed office management software, in addition to what offers Windows?

Your video drivers are up to date?

  • crop in camera raw

I don't know if a 'twofer' is allowed, but since the two issues of concern culture, I thought I'd try.

I have CR 9.1.1 (update for CS6).  I watched a video explaining the use of the crop tool (cropping in Adobe Camera Raw - YouTube) and it showed a drop down menu with various options (@ 01:16).  I get this menu in PS CS6, but no option of harvest in Czech Republic.  Is there a way to display this menu in CR?

In addition, with regard to the possibility of crop without removal of the pixels: I think that nothing is irrevocable to an image change when the same thing can be accomplished in non-destructively.  I was just curious to know if someone has discovered no downside to this.

    Hello

You can only crop Raw/Dng images that open directly in Camera raw (not by the filter > Camera raw filter)

    Refer to s-https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/using/rotate-crop-retouch-images-camera.html#crop_image

  • I just updated my Bridge and Photoshop and camera raw is now my images appear dull?

As it is said above. My NEF (RAW) Preview on the left look great but a little as I open them in camera raw (right) to edit it alleviates instantly. It was fine before, before I did the update. Any ideas?

Since you didn't say what specific versions and what specific model of Nikon camera, it's just a guess: you have a D810 and updated to 2015 CC with cab 9.1 and your camera profile that said Adobe Standard now says flat camera.

The problem is that somehow versions.1 are ignores Adobe Standard profile and go to the next in the list that is flat camera.

The temporary solution until Adobe gives us a version.2 that works, once again, is to download and install the Adobe D810 Standard profile in the common area of the users profile.  Here is an Adobe help page on this topic:
