  • Can you password protect an appearance?

I'm fairly new to Adobe and I don't know if this has been posted elsewhere or not, if so I apologize.  I understand that you can password protect the electronic signature, but you can password protect an image imported into the appearance?

Suppose, for example, I would like to sign a document with the electronic signature, but also do is look more professional by appear as my real signature.  I would create an appearance with my scanned signature imported, but the appearance and then registers itself without any form of protection.  If it's a public computer, someone could sign the document with his electronic signature, but then chose my appearance and that the document signed resembling my signature.  I could remove the appearance each time after use, but it's tedious.   Guess another way of expression, my question would be, is I possible to assign an appearance as only my electronic signature?

Any help on this matter is greatly appreciated!

  • XP Pro - Can I password protect Windows as a whole?

I am the only user on the computer.

After that I entered the password for the user, is it possible to password protect everything in Windows, not only certain files and folders?

Otherwise, what is my best bet? Thank you

What I read your journal is already protected. Of course the best security, you can use use a good password includes numbers and letters. If you wish it is possible to also protect files and folders, the steps are displayed below for you:

-Select the file or folder you want to protect/encrypt
-Right click on the folder and select Properties
    -Click on the Advanced button
-Click on option "Encrypt contents to secure data".
    -Click apply then Ok
(Note: this is only available for Windows XP Pro users, and not the Windows XP family version.)

  • I bought a Dell system that is password protected. I do not have a disk of re - install. What can I do?

    Password! Help!

I bought a laptop Dell has windows Home Basic edition. Password protected and I don't drive! What should I do?

    Hello

Microsoft prohibits any help given in these Forums for you help bypass or "crack" passwords lost or forgotten.

Here's information from Microsoft, explaining that the policy:

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/Windows_7-security/keeping-passwords-secure-Microsoft-policy-on/39f56ef0-5d68-41AD-9daa-6e6019c25d37

    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

You need to reinstall the operating system.

See if there is a recovery Partition to do this:

Read this information from Dell on how to do it:

    http://support.Dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/KCS/document?c=us&l=en&s=Gen&docid=DSN_336966&isLegacy=true

Otherwise, call Dell and ask them to send a Vista recovery disk.

Normally, they charge a low cost to make.

    http://support.Dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/DellCare/contact_us?c=us&l=en&s=Gen&redirect=1

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

"How to activate Vista normally and by Activation of the phone '

    See you soon.

  • How can I password protect my USB port?

    Hello

I use Windows XP SP 2. I want the password protect my USB port so that whenever I plug in a device, like USB flash drive, modem, USB etc key, you are prompted for the password which will protect my computer against unauthorized individuals to use my USB port and helping to prevent the intrusion of virus. How can I put the password in my USB port? This is not possible in Service Pack 2, then I'm ready to upgrade to Service Pack 3. Thank you.

If you want to protect your USB with password if you have lost your pen drive it contains the password, then you can use bitlocker to go. But for USB itself and also to protect the material you may have a look at:

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/Magazine/2007.06.grouppolicy.aspx

However, I expect that some third-party tools may be able to do.

  • password protect multiple PDFs

I'm trying to password protect approximately 1000 pdf files and I can't find any useful article about this problem. I use Adobe Acrobat XI. I tried with Acrobat X and it worked, but when I try to create an action in Acrobat XI, it works only if I open each file individually. Is there a way I can apply this action to multiple files?

  • How can I password protect my Reader 11 document?

I have recently been upgraded to Player 11 and I can not find where I can password protect a document as I could in previous versions.

Adobe Reader has never been able to set a password. So I guess that until you had Acrobat Standard or Acrobat Pro, allowing you to set a password.

  • How to password - protect a PDF document that will let me change the security settings?

I want to protect my PDF document (so when I email, it cannot be opened / reading of recipients because it contains confidential/sensitive information) but when I go into the security of documents, I cannot change the method of security (which is currently set at "No Security" - not by me).  There is an icon "View details", but it is grey so I can't click on it.  What can I do to protect this document to be opened by the beneficiaries not compliant?

He seems to have several possibilities.

  • Password protect many PDF files in a batch

I have several PDF files, I want to add passwords, but I don't want to combine them into a single file.

Is there a way to batch or run a script that would assign a password to all the files individually in one fell swoop?

    Thank you!

    Hi Kim,

    The short answer is Yes.

Select it Advanced > Document Processing > Batch Processing menu item

Click the new sequence on the dialog of batch sequences

Add a name (for example password Sec) and then click OK in the dialog box new sequence

Click on the Select command button on the edit batch sequence dialog box

Highlight the list box on the left until you find the security

Select Security and then click the Add button

Select Security in the listbox on the right, and then click the Edit button

Click Password Protection in the drop-down list security method

Affect the security settings that you want to use, then click the OK button in the password security settings dialog box

You will be asked to confirm the password you have chosen

Click the close button in the Security dialog box

Click OK in the edit sequence dialog box

You are in the dialog box change the sequence of batch at this stage and finished one of the three points. This is where the batch is powerful. If you have decided to run the command in a selected all folder you need to do is to drop all unencrypted in the folder you selected and run the batch sequence. If you click the Output Options button you can assign new names to the files so you can keep the original unencrypted separate of the newly encrypted copy.

    I hope this helps.

    Steve
