After cloning of all oracle Windows services start, but only the concurrent Manager service is throwing this error.

Please guide what to do to solve this problem as the clone should be given to users immediately for a few important tests.

  • Services Windows problems after cloning a HARD drive

    Hello

I recently cloned my HARD for one SSD drive, using the SSD as my boot device. Since then, I was able to successfully access Windows services.

For example, I've tried to expand a partition on my SSD and went to computer management. I got a message saying that it

"cannot open log events on the computer service.

I click OK and the computer management opens.

Clicking on device management, I get a long enough message that appears that says

'Disk management could not open Virtual Disk Service (VDS) [name of the hard drive]. This can occur if the remote computer does not support VDS, or if a connection cannot be established because it has been blocked by a firewall of Windows. For more information see on diagnose and correct this problem, see Troubleshooting Disk Management by using disk management. »

I click OK and the message disappears.

If I click on Services and Applications in the left pane I get WMI control and Services in the central pane.

I double-click on Services, scroll down to virtual disk, double-click anywhere on the line, I get

"Windows could not open the service of virtual disk for playback on the local computer. Error 1726 the remote procedure call failed. »

Is someone can you please tell me what is happening? What have I done? Why am I not able to access disk management?

I tried sfc/scannow and I get the message

"Protection of resources Windows could not start repair service".

    EEK! What have I done?

Thanks for the help, but I thought about it.

I had turned off by mistake in my BIOS PATA, and causing the problem.

Thank you for taking the time to respond, however. It's very appreciated.

  • Problems after cloning

Okay, so I bought a Seagate 1 TB computer laptop SSHD. I cloned my current drive to seagate DiscWizard using disk. After that, I checked the Seagate drive in my computer, and only the system reserved partition has shown. It's a 160 - something together, so I checked the drive in disk management and I found the rest of the disc, but it was assigned. That's happened?

    Hello

You will need to ask Seagate about it, because it is their software.

  • How can I solve the RDP and SQL problems after cloning of a paralytic?

I got a job Server 2008 R2 system running SQL Server Enterprise 2012 all on an 8 G/4CPU VM and did a ' copy to ' VAPP Cloner.

The new VAPP has been on one VLAN separated. During the copy process, customizing of comments was shortlisted, and I gave the new virtual machine, a new name for the machine. I can access both VLAN via my WIndows 7 x 64 desktop client OpenVPN.

So far so good, I could use the vDC to log on the new machine of vApp using my previous administrator credentials.

I found myself with two problems though...

    (1) none of my previous connections will work with SQL Server, when I try to launch SQL Server Management Studio. I get a message saying "Connection failed for user 'newmachine\user'" so maybe the MSN usr for duplicate users are not the same as the original sid user? I think that he could not tell the difference, if everything has been cloned and the machine name has changed.

    (2) my RDP 7 Windows client does not connect unless I have configure the new server to allow "a MOP" instead of just "Network Level Authentication" that has been configured on the original server that I cloned from. When I activate "all RDP" I can RDP into the cloned fine system.

The cloned machine had the new name of the machine and a new SID assigned by the cloning process. The original and clone are on VLAN isolated and cannot see. Both not use areas and working groups.

If I leave the cloned server THAT RDP "NLA" value only as the original server, my Windows 7 client gets a message complaining that RDP does not support the NLA for the cloned machine. RDP works fine connecting to the original server that still has not specified NLA. The RDP instance that says I need enabled NLA, watch NLA is activated in the about box.

Someone at - he saw either of these issues? Any suggestions?

    Thanks, Dave

Hi, my understanding is that sysprep does much more than simply by changing the SID of the box, it will also use the SID to regenerate the local MSN accounts system which is problably the origin of the problem, you're experiency. This is done for the security reasosns avoid guests who have accounts with the same sid on different machines. There is a tool called newsid that changes the SID of the server and let the system SID accounts because they were, but it has been known to have other issues but allow him to achieve what you want? I thiknk MS have retired it now, but you can always download on the net.

If you need get SQL running sysprep and want to automate the process to set up your DB and users following post useful:

  • Huge problems after updateing to 31.1.2

    Hello

I encountered several problems after the update to 31.1.2.

    1. I can't send emails from one of my accounts, or it only downloads the messages from this account. When I connect to this account's web e-mail messages are there. When I try to send the mail, I get the message:

    The message send failed.
The message could not be sent using SMTP server mail.vista - consulting.hr for some unknown reason. Please check that your SMTP server settings are correct and try again or contact your network administrator.

I have control over the mail server and reflected on the Messaging log and it said:

    2 Oct 17:08:37 droplet postfix/smtpd [10916]: disconnect from unknown [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]

When I try to send mail.

    2. the update of enigmail and ligntening had stuck somhow. In the Add-ons Manager window, I see the old versions and new (lightning 2.6.3 and 3.3.1 enigmail 1.6 and 1.7.2). However, the new versions has dimmed. Restaring Thunderbrid does not help.

    3. all my entries in the missing calendar which is a very big problem for me.

    Best regards

Close Thunderbird and go to your profile folder.
    There is a subfolder "extensions".
Find the folder for both the lightning and Enigmail under "extensions" and delete them.

Original title: problem after installing Windows Service Pack 3 on Windows XP Home Media edition pc

My pc runs Windows XP Home Media edition.  I installed Windows Service Pack 3 successfully, or so I thought. Whenever I turn on my pc a box opens indicating "files which are required for Windows to run properly have been replaced by unrecognized versions."  To maintain the stability of the system.  Windows must restore the original versions of these files.  Install your Windows XP Professional CD2.  I don't have any Windows XP Professional CD that I use the Home Media Edition. If I press Cancel repeatedly, the window disappears to return with the same information, but ask me to install Windows XP Professional CD3.  How can I stop this happening?

    Hello

Step 1: I suggest you perform the SFC scan on the computer and check.

SFC tool scans system files and replaces incorrect versions of system files by using the correct versions.

To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start and type cmd in the box start the search.
    2. right click on cmd in the list programs and then click Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue
    3. at the command prompt, type the following line and press ENTER:

    sfc/scannow

  • Problems after installing KB978338 on Windows Vista SP2

I met a problem after installing KB978338. The update installs without error or problem, but the system is extremely inadmissible after the reboot. The "\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\desktop is not accessible" error, and the system is practically unusable. Normally opens the Task Manager and system seems inactive, but you try to start a new application from the Task Manager gave an error "hose is not valid.

System is Vista Home Premium SP2 installed without any obvious problems before the update. Start the system restore and go back to immediately before the update of the results in the system back to normal functionality and responsiveness.

I've never seen or either of these mistakes before and my research has not yet been able to find something similar, so I am at a loss to start this kind of problem with an update of troubleshooting.

Please tell us how can I still troubleshoot or solve this problem.

So I "hid" the update and you call this one closed without resolution.

While the overall rating of gravity for KB978338 is moderate (critical vs), it of still a security update and must be installed.

  • Windows 7 Task Manager problem

When I type Ctrl alt delete to bring up Task Manager, I used to get a screen with a tab for the task and a tab for the process with the familiar red x in the right corner to close it. Last week I didn't notice that running tasks would come to the top and the processes tab and close x were not on the screen. Today, so that the tasks displayed I right click and choose the process now, I can't see the tasks and the narrow red x is not yet on the screen. I installed the Windows updates on 10/11/15 and I noticed the problem after the installation. Maybe it's a coincidence that the problem appeared after the update, or it may be the cause. Any suggestions on this matter will be greatly appreciated.

You are in mode 'small footprint '.  Double-click anywhere in the border of the Task Manager window and the familiar interface should reappear.

  • Problems after updating to Windows 8

I had some problems with my new laptop so I decided to try the «Refresh your PC» function Doing so brought on a slew of new problems which I had no chance to solve on my own. I hope someone knows what to do with this mess.

After "refreshing" to my PC, my laptop wouldn't let me:
Install anything (downloads are OK, though)
Programs open (with the exception of Internet Explorer)
    Applications open
    Open C: /.
    Open the laptop settings
Solve problems ("an error has occurred during troubleshooting.")

It became obvious to me that the majority of these problems were because the updating of Windows me rid of my administrative privileges.

I tried to solve this problem with every idea that I had and every suggestion I could find online. The problem is that my phone won't allow me to do anything to capture administrative privileges.

Here are the solutions I tried:
'Change the Type of account' in the user accounts: parameters show that I am already administrator.  The 'Standard' option is greyed out. Nothing to do here.

Using a command prompt: everything I try, I get the "Network Error" result... "Windows cannot access to ' if I get" net user administrator / Active: Yes "I received the reply"the system 5 error has occurred. Access is denied. "I can only assume this error occurs because I'm not an administrator. If I try to do "sfc/scannow" it says "You must be an administrator." However it won't let me run cmd as administrator.

Exchange User Account Control: the bar is set on "notify me only when...". ». I can drag down to "Never notify", but when I try to click on 'OK' will not just pass by. I could click OK all day and nothing will happen. No error message.
Create a new user: hit this button head to PC settings, which does not, as previously stated.
Clean boot: Msconfig will not open, I get the error message "network error". Windows cannot access.
Switch to the Microsoft account: 'Users' directs 'PC settings", which is an application that does not open.
CHKDSK: whatever it is, I have no idea, but it does not open.

If I try to "Run as Administrator" on any program, it simply doesn't. No error message.

I reached the end of my rope after trying several solutions more that hasn't worked and tried to do a system restore. System Restore does not open. I get the error message "System Restore could not start." I would try to solve the problems, but as I said troubleshooting will not, work almost everything also, runs to the PC settings application, which does not open.

None of these problems existed before I did the update of Windows, so I can only assume what caused their - which is a little disconcerting.

Any ideas on what to do?

I had this problem after that refreshing of my pc, if yours is the same (if it could even be your best solution) you will need to make a new account

    Windows + x

    go to "Control Panel".

go to "user accounts and family safety."

    Press 'user account '.

    Press 'manage other accounts '.

In light blue shades near the bottom, it says "add a new user".

Follow all instructions after that to make your new account
