Control ActiveX of Flash Player could not be registered - no solution works
I don't get the "control ActiveX of Flash Player cannot be saved" when I try to install 11 on IE9 (Windows 7 64-bit). I tried everything that was suggested in other posts and forums without success. It's driving me crazy and prevent me from working. Can someone please? Thank you!
I've just had this problem and have been in charge of research and looking for a way to solve this problem. I have a 64 bit Windows 7 system and this was happening with IE 9. But I found the solution.
Go to http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/494/cpsid_49419.html and follow these instructions. It worked for my system and I was able to install albums the newest flash without any problems.
- Make sure that you are connected to a Windows administrator account. If you're not, you will not be able to use SubInACL.
- Follow the installation instructions. Make sure you only install SubInACL (subinacl.exe) to the directory C:\Program Files\Windows Resource Kits\Tools.
- Open the fp10.zip file and extract the reset_fp10.cmd file to the directory C:\Program Files\Windows Resource Kits\Tools\.
This file and SubInACL (subinacl.exe) must be in this directory.
- Double-click reset_fp10.cmd. A command window will open and SubInACL will run.
Do not use the machine while SubInACL is running.
- After SubInACL is completed, you will see a prompt "Press any key to continue".
- Install Flash Player on the Flash Player download page.
- To verify that your installation was successful, see the about Flash Player page. At the top of the screen, you should see a message that says "Adobe Flash Player successfully installed."

Adobe Flash Player could not be installed

Install Adobe Flash Player Version 2.0.2.7
Safari Version 7.0.3
Hello:
I get the error above during an installation attempt. I used the Adobe uninstaller program, but when I try to reinstall the same error occurs.
I did also twice the new facility, which worked the last that two times I need upgrade flash http://forums.Adobe.com/thread/1267823 no avail.
All advice appreciated!
Thank you!
PS Si someone has contacts with Adobe, it would be great if they could ask them to address this issue of update once and for all. On this iMac special every time I try to update I lose an hour or two installs clean (which worked, but not this time), to make productive use of time at least. Our Department IT people say that we have to pass because of security issues in Flash, so we do not have the opportunity to stay with old versions of work proven
Try to run this installer http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/support/install_flash_player_osx.dm g

Error message: "Adobe Flash Player could not register".
It's on a system Windows XP SP3 IE8 and SeaMonkey (a derivative of Firefox). I can update the version of Flash Player NPAPI no problem, but when I try to manually update the version Active-X, I get this error for months. If I leave the reader with the option to allow Adobe to install the updates, it finally installed the update successfully several times after a manual update failed, but now my Player ActiveX has been on version 17.0.0.188 for a long time, and when I look at my settings of player I find that the update option went from "Enable" to "Notify". I change back to 'Allow', but in a few days it goes back to "Notify".
I rarely use IE, but I'd like to fix this if possible.
(BTW, I plan to upgrade my OS to Windows 10 before the end of the year).
Thanks in advance,
John
Someone scored a previous post as "Right answer", which makes this topic "resolved." Easy to forget...
In any case, the MSI installer you should get beyond the error "Unable to save": https://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/install_flash_play er_18_active_x.msi

Flash Player - could not initialize
I am trying to download and install Adobe Flash Player, but I keep getting failed to Intialize. I am running Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit on an Intel based HP DV 6500. I had installed Windows Security Essentials, I disabled the Protection in real time and even uninstalled and still receive the same error. I disabled Windows Firewall and have no other security installed. I tried it in IE8 and Firefox and received the same error in both. I have installed Flash Player on an AMD based HP DV6000 running Vista Home Premimum 64 bit Windows. How can I install Flash Player?
Could you try to install the appropriate Installer stand alone here?

Control Activex Adobe could not be saved
The problem is with Internet Explorer 8 and Adobe Flash Player 10.1 recent updated. Recently received popup from Adobe to upgrade to Flash Player. Since the Flash Player won't install and I get a message that Activex control could not be saved. Uninstalling Flash Player from Adobe "cleaner", but nothing does not allow installation. Even tried to remove and install an older version of Flash Player. Internet Explorer displays most all websites with Flash Video, while Google Chrome and Firefox work fine. Adobe is aware of the problems with 10.1 and have posted several fixes. One who takes care of my problem does not work, and they say it has to do with permissions. They have a mammoth of the registry edit they say will fix, and I refuse to do that my registry of tampering. With this problem, IE8 is totally dead as my default browser. Thank you for your help.
While each of you, the volunteers were gloating about the popularity of your son and serving as shills for the blood sucking Web anti-malware sites, I found the solution for all those who cannot get the Explorer 8 to run Flash Player 10.1 when Chrome and Firefox will be. Mine and any software like Frontpage all work fine now. So there!

Flash Player does not work on any browser in Windows 8
Flash Player does not on internet explorer, chrome or firefox...
I tried several treatments that I found in this area and other forums as not activex filtering, changing the internet options, clear browser data, saved flash data, deleting uninstall flash, re - install flash...
Uninstall browser, reinstall, uninstall the antivirus, re-installed, installed another, disabiling, nothing works.
When you access a site using flash, such as youtube, all browsers shows the control but not the video, then crashes and displays a message effic that flash is not meet and sometimes say that a script is unresponsive, either...
Hello, I did something else at the end and it worked after the reboot, I installed all the updates that are available for windows 8, recommended and proposed, I didn't have the chance to try animations, flash works now, unfortunately I don't know exactly how it was fixed.

Vudu requires Adobe Flash Player for movies and gives me an error message saying that I need to upgrade to the latest version and it gives a link. When I followed the link and install the latest version, I still get the same message. I checked the Add-ons Firefox and Adobe Flash Player does not appear as an add-on available or plug-in. What is the problem?
Hello
Make sure that you have downloaded the Flash Player right as Firefox uses a different plugin than Internet Explorer (which uses ActiveX).
- (all installers) https://www.Adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html
- (automatically select the correct Installer for you) https://get.Adobe.com/flashplayer/
- Notice that the link is usually an 'optional' offer for the McAfee toolbar in the middle pane you can untick this box as it is not necessary to use a Flash.

Hello
I was using Internet Explorer 9 as my default browser. I downloaded Firefox and all imported via, but Adobe Flash Player is not on Firefox. It is required to manually install the plugin and when I click the icon, it does not install.
Since I have already installed, how can flash player that works fine in IE, I solve this problem?
Thank you.
There are 2 versions of Adobe Flash; an ActiveX version for IE only and a plug-in version for most of the other browsers like Firefox. On a Windows system, you must always update both individually. You do not have the Plugin installed for Firefox version.
- With Firefox, click the direct download link below and SAVE the download on your desktop, so you can find it later: http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe
- When the download is complete, close Firefox (file > button OR exit Firefox > exit)
- Click or double-click the file that you just saved on your desktop
- In the install window that appears, select the check box to the left of "I read and...» "to place a check mark in the box of
- The button 'Install' in the lower right corner is now highlighted, click it.
- Installation is quick.
- Launch Firefox and test your installation here: https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
- ActiveX for IE onlydirect link version: http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe

Flash Player is not recognized, windows 7-64
I have download dozens of times the Flash Player and is present on the control for 32-bit download, but when I connect to a page that use Flash Player I am advised to download the player and don't recognize the the one I already have in my PC
I use a motherboard ASUS P7H55D-M and with a CPU Intel i3-540 graphic integrated for OS I use Explorer 9-32 bit and Windows 7 64 bit...
Please note that if you use a 64 bit version of Windows 7, you must use the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer that is included with the operating system. Adobe Flash Player does not support the 64-bit version of Internet Explorer in Windows 7 right now.
Click Start > all programs > click Internet Explorer (one who is not listed as 64-bit)
Adobe Flash Player not is not supported for playback in a 64-bit browser
http://kb2.Adobe.com/CPS/000/6b3af6c9.htmlI have Windows 7 64 bit and you need to use Internet Explorer 32-bit
http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/InternetExplorer/thread/babaa5f8-FF06-4EA2-aef6-a9416d65f981
If you run Internet Explorer 9 32 bit and you are unable to view Flash content, try to reset Internet Explorer its default factory setting and download Flash Player.
Click Start, type: Internet Options
Press enter
Select the "Advanced" tab
Under reset Internet Explorer settings, click "reset".This should restore the Internet Explorer default settings.

Adobe Flash Player does not work
I have down loaded many times flash player and adobe says it is now running, but it does not work. It does not appear in all programs, but if I remove programs it is there. My printer is connected wireless and prints fine, when I try to scan the printer and the computer says that the other is not there.
Flash Player is a web browser instead of a standalone application, so it is not supposed to appear in all programs. To check that it is correctly installed:
-Go to Start-> Control Panel-> programs and features and check that it is registered.
-Open Internet Explorer and go to Manage Add-ons , select all add-ons from the drop-down list on the left, and then select toolbars and Extensions and check that you have Shockwave object shown at right and that it is enabled.
-Go to a Web site that uses Flash Player (like YouTube) and verify that you can watch videos, etc.
How your last comment regarding your printer/scanner related to Flash Player does not?

Says that Flash Player is not installed
I installed the latest version of flash player several times and it keeps telling me that flash player is not installed. I went through all of the troubleshooting and I can't understand why this is happening. Is happening here?
What you see is the result of this:
"User-Agent Strings.
Doesn't mean a lot, I'm sure, but it is the root of your problems, and Flash Player has nothing to do with it.
Microsoft 'rewritten' User-Agent strings for the abomination they call their latest and greatest browser (learn more).
User Agent strings are what sites Web allows to identify the browser you use and provides content for its browser engine, as ActiveX stuff and video Flash or HTML5.
Thanks to geniuses in Redmond, WA, strings of User-Agent for IE11 (which has a Trident engine), ID like "Gecko" (Firefox) or "Webkit" (Chrome).
The problem is: when the site dictates the content of one of these two engines, the engine Trident in Internet Explorer cannot interpret this site then sees IE as a browser 'unidentified '.
The problem with a browser not identified is that plug-ins in this browser are not recognized either, so even if you are up-to-date, he said: you need the latest version of Flash Player when you use IE11.
YouTube... has converted to HTML5 video, so if it doesn't detect Flash Player, it can display HTML5 video (MP4) which requires no plug-in to play.
Facebook cannot do, because HTML5 does not apply to... video games only.
Microsoft does not plan to "fix" the mess that they created because they think it's a good idea to block you on Web sites that visit you.
They recommend using 'compatibility view' and pretend that you are using an older version of IE...
The problem with THIS is that it has had limited success, and you must enable it for EVERY page that has problems... individually.
I'm not big on "pretend" so I recommend you to use another browser.
NO one who will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player plug-in (for all other browsers), and chromium has not even need that, because he has his own plugin Flash Player built in.
