CS5 requires a discrete graphics card?

My computer has a Core 2 Duo and 3 GB of memory, but only graphics onboard. CS5 Design Premium system requirements include 'card graphics OpenGL hardware acceleration, color 16 bits and 256 MB of VRAM'. Does this mean that I can't run CS5? Or that it just means that if I want the benefits of a graphics card, the card must meet these requirements?

I should be able to answer this question myself with a bit of web searching, but couldn't! Thanks in advance.

Depends on what you are doing. It will work, but I can't assure you that it will work well, especially Photoshop.

Why not download the demo and check it out for yourself?

  • Need help to install a new discrete graphics card

I had a desktop Pavilion p6101f, upgraded to Windows 7, with an integrated Geforce 9100 graphic card. I want to install a discreet card to increase a little things. The HP support instructions say that the first necessary step is to "disable on board and select the right setting in the BIOS" by going into the Setup (F10) immediately at startup, go to the Advanced tab and then select the type of card being installed, which would be PCI - E. Problem is, there is absolutely no sign of the graphics options in the advanced options, or a different tab in my BIOS setup screens. So, what gives? Can I just skip this step and go directly to step 2 - disable the integrated graphics card drivers before installing the new card? Or do something else? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the clarification. Your correct, it is just to delete the previous drivers and installing the card, then the software from the CD of EVGA. To 31W of power, the card has doesn't require any power plug (s).

  • Requirement of the graphics card dedicated for BB10 simulator

Hi, the blackvery website developer, I found the infromation that BB10 Simulator requires NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT or higher to an ATI Radeon HD 2600 or higher graphic. This affects when even if the pc has the graphics card integrated rather than required. I mean I can run the Simulator very well, but this will affect anyway if I run an opengl project in the Simulator? Thank you.

The BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha Simulator uses OpenGL 2.0.  If your graphics card does not support it you can have problems (some only show a black screen).

If you see a black screen you can try the software rendering mode (choose option 2 before boots simulator), but you could still see some rendering issues using this mode.  In addition, it is going to be slower.

  • the ps cs4 or cs5 accelerates by ati graphic card gpu?

    Hi guys,.

Recently, I bought laptop ASUS G73JH A1, which comes with ATI Radeon Mobility HD 5870.

I bought adobe photoshop cs3 long before, I heard one of the friends, new photoshop cs5 and cs4 speeds up by gpu graphics card, so I am planing to buy cs4 or cs5, but is she really uses gpu graphics card or its not correct?

    Thank you

That is just marketing. Photoshop uses OpenGL, not CUDA to speed things up to make it work as well on ati and nvidia cards. The only CS5 application that uses CUDA is Premiere Pro.

  • Update graphics card on HP Pavilion PC h8-1214

Can someone suggest a good upgrade for the video graphics card on my son's computer?  It's a HP Pavilion HPE h8-1214 desktop PC.  It is an age of high school gamer so I'm looking for something in the sub series $400 (or even less if possible).  I don't know if he really needs an upgrade, but when he bought the computer, the former owner told him that he should update the graphics card in about a year.  I think he still has the card that came with the computer. a graphics card Radeon HD 7450 with 1 GB of DDR3 memory dedicated.  I guess I also need to check and see if she still only a 300W power supply or if the previous owner has replaced that.  Site HP says that there must be a PCI Express x 16.

    Hello

A video card the fastest for the games will require at least a 500 Watt power supply.  The Corsair CX500, or CX600 would fit well in the H8-1214.  As for a video card, NVIDIA GTX 660 (double wide card) should be enough for most modern video games.

  • replace the graphics card for HP omni 27

I bought the HP omni 27 AIO a few months before and wonder if I could replace my mxm3.0 with the more powerful discrete graphics, one because of the game card. For everything else, this PC is good enough.

Here are the specs of my HP omni 27 PC AIO: 27 "screen, CPU intel i5 3570 3.4 GHZ (Ivy Bridge), nvidia geforce GT 630 MXM3.0a 2 GB DDR3 graphics card discrete, 8 GB of DDR3 RAM,! TB 7200 HDD, lavaca pegatron motherboard.

What are discrete graphics cards you would sugest to me and where is possible to buy?  I recently found a descrete MXM type b graphics card to the e - bay store, but I'm not sure if it fits into my PC regarding the specifications of dimensions and the heat/watts. It's the card nvidia geforce gtx 670 m type mxm3.0 b that has max 75 wats in comparison to nvidia geforce gt 630 m who has 37wats max. This card would be compatible with my system, and if so, my system would be able to handle more heat from him? If this isn't the case, could you recommend me other compatible cards for my above (HP Omni 27) system. I appreciate your help.

According to the specifications, the system has an MXM Type A slot and the card must be less than 35W (I suspect that even a 35W would work as less that is not very common).  It also lists the GT630M as an option on actions for the system.  Other maps of Type A that meet the requirements of power should work as well.

The Type of HP GT630 a card is listed here.  It seems to no longer be available at HP.  It seems that it is available on Amazon.  It is a direct seller's Amazon page.  Based on part number, it can be found on eBay as well.  One thing I noticed in my search for this particular card, is that nobody seems to have an image.  I recommend you contact the vendor to verify that this is a card of Type MXM need 35W of power.

  • HP Elite 8200 ultra-Slim: graphics card

    Hello

I have a desktop Hp Elite ultra-flat 8200 and I wanted to get a graphical upgrade, so I decided to buy an ATI Radeon 5450 mxm 512 MB discrete graphics card, when I put in my computer and turned on, I could not find the drivers, my screen has been changed upward, my resolution was changed and I could not change it back and it made my game even worse than before I already know that my computer is not the type of game, but any type of graphics upgrade could help out me. My main question is, why does it worsen my computer?

  • Update graphics card for my HP Pavilion p7-1534

I almost had my PC for a year now. I am looking for a good gfx card update that will allow me to run some high senior graphic games smoothly on graphics settings. Battlefield, ArmA, GTA are examples of games... Games like this. I know that I will also need to upgrade the power supply with the new card. If you could show me a few good cards and supplys power which would best adapt to what I'm looking for. Thank you.

P.S. Try to stay as close as possible to $400. I'm not trying to spend too much more than that.

    Hello

Feeding Corair CX500, or CX600 will best fit inside your PC and will have enough power for most video cards.

I run BF3 using a NVIDIA EVGA GTX 660 upstairs to the Ultra no problems at 1920 by 1080 resolution. In addition, if you want your PC to run in UEFI mode you can get an EVGA patch to enable this feature.

  • Power supply for graphics card

I recently bought a graphics card for my game needs and the requirement for the graphics card is 400 watt power supply with 24A (amps) and I have 450 Watt power supply + 12v 18 A (amps)

Although I ordered an another power supply that has a larger amps and watt, but today when I installed the my new ti gtx 550 on the motherboad he was running well, I plugged the son booted the system and saw the graphics card is running, but there is no hardware changes, I could not see my newly installed graphics card I tried to launch the graphics driver, but received the error that the graphics driver cannot find compatible hardware, even in the Device Manager, my map does not show, but I can see the card itself works very well the fan was running, my question is what could be the reason behind no my graphics card detection I wonder, it might be due to my diet maybe she didn't feed my gpu completely,? some suggestions would be awesome

    Hello

Please report the number of HP for your PC product.

A poor diet can not feed the card well enough for the bios to recognize that there is a video card then present if the fan turns.

You could try a good known video card and see if the PC then recognizes a video card.

    Hi there @jhamaca,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!  It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that you are looking for more information on graphics updates for your system. I'm happy to help you with this.

By looking at the motherboard and system specifications: HP Pavilion 22 - h040es TouchSmart all-in-One Desktop PC product specifications, HP and Compaq Desktop PCs - card motherboard (Lavender-U), your system does support not a discrete graphics card at all. The only possible apparent graphics upgrade, is based on the upgrade of the system processor and GPU is integrated into the processor itself. See the table under the heading "Information processor upgrade"

I hope that answers your question about your options and if it does not solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

  • What is the graphics card in my Satellite L500/08 p?

    I can't play a game that I bought and it explains the requirements of minimum graphics card are;
DirectX 9 .0c - compatible video card (ATI Radeon 9200 or NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 with 128 MB of RAM) or more.

It's good enough to play my portable game?

    Hello

Do a search on Google, I found L500 series are equipped with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 or Intel Intel GMA 4500 M. It is enough for your laptop to run this game. Perhaps, you should choose high performance, in the power management. It depends also what game you want to play

  • Problems with discrete graphics from NVS 5200 m on T430s

    Hey all,.

I just got my T430s mail this past weekend, and I had trouble with the Blue Screen of Death. It happened twice so far, and both times the graphics card is not recognized after reboot. The first time it happened, I tried to do a system restore, but that did nothing. I reinstalled the initial configuration using the recovery partitiion operating system, and that did the trick.

The blue screen of death just happened again, and exactly the same problem has cropped up again. After reboot, the system no longer recognizes it has a discrete graphics card. When I try to start the Nvidia Control Panel, it tells me that it cannot detect a discrete graphics card in the system.

I did a quick search of the forum, and I can't find any thread with a similar problem. I found this in the Lenovo support area, but it is not relevant to my http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/diagnose-and-fix/detail.page?DocID=HT052544equipment >

On the NVIDIA site, I can only find drivers 'Beta' for NVS 5200 M http://www.nvidia.com/object/notebook-win8-win7-winvista-64bit-304.79-beta-driver.html>. After you download the driver and any attempt to install, the system gives me the same error that it cannot find any compatible graphics hardware.

    Here's my hardware configuration:

    ThinkPad T430s

    i5 3320 M 2.60 GHz

    NViDIA NVS 5200 m

    4 GB of RAM (stock)

    360 GB HARD drive (stock)

It is located in Optimus. I don't think that there is only a discreet.

I called Lenovo support center and discovered that there is a new graphics driver. Have not had a problem with the blue screen of death since then. Looks like that was the problem.

Once more, if it happens again, I'll be sure to post here.

  • Compaq Presario SR1619UK: Need to be able to provide information for installing a graphics card

    Hello, everyone.

I have inherited a HP/Compaq Presario SR1619UK recently and think to install a new graphics card to replace the ATI Radeon Xpress 200 integrated chipset. What I need to know is this: -.

I have searched all over the pages of the specification and support and can not find ANYWHERE, any information on the feeding on this model (output in watts) output.

How much power do the PCI slots of power?

I don't want a top-of-range for the games graphics card, or lots of work video (I'm in my early 50 years); what I'm after is a decent graphics, which will give me good screen resolution and behavior when you work with the Adobe PhotoShop & CreativeSuite. That's why I want to know what is the amount of power the power supplies supply actually... This is quite an old model, probably, it will provide no schedule for a graphics card powerful card... and this isn't what I'm looking for, anyway.

Any help with this information would be much appreciated.

    Hello

Open the PC and read the label on the power supply.  What is the total power? I suspect not over 300 watts.

The site in the past has posted Adobe recommended and certified cards video for products Adobe.  Look at what Adobe has published.

Study it released a Guide to selection of a discrete graphics card.

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/desktop-hardware/Guide-for-selecting-a-discrete-video-card/TD-p/1299011

Features of the power supply are a slipperly slope. Rated efficiency will go down with age and power more old supplies are not very effective. Not all the PSUs being manufacutered are quality power supplies.  In addition, manufactuers video card take into consideration a lot of information including the many unknowns that might exist with PCs when they specify the size of power minimum recommended power supply.
