  • IE 11 with EBS 11i invited to install the J2SE Plugin again and again

    Hello

    We test EBS 11.10.2 with Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 7 and during the passage to forms, it will prompt you to install the J2SE Plugin, even if it is already installed. If we go ahead and re - install through the command prompt, we get the same prompt the next time. Anyone encountered this? I see in doc 285218.1browsers recommended for Oracle E-Business Suite 11i that there are tasks to apply

    Yes, you must have all the patches of pre - req. applied and you must ensure that JRE is deployed based on the (Doc ID 290807.1).

  • Apex integration with ebs 11i Cookie issue

    Hi all
    I've done integration (11i) EBiz with Apex. To do this, I followed the white paper by Rod West i.e. apex-ebs-wp-cabot-consulting-169064.pdf
    It was working fine. but once I got past the deadline as 3 (previously 60 sec) in the validate_hash function, it starts giving problem.
    The main problem is the only error in the first, when we try to identify of Ebiz. If I try again once or twice he started to work very well. I have no idea on whats going on.
    Please help as soon as POSSIBLE.

    Thanks in advance,
    Ananya

    Hello

    The generate_hash and validate_hash functions are used to generate a secondary password for the user of the EBS to connect at the Apex. To make sure there is a timeout built into the function so that the password cannot be reused. The first time that apex is used there is some overhead in loading the tables, packages etc. in memory and so time between production and the use of the password is longer than normal. That's why you get a timeout when you first try to connect to the EBS. Set the timeout high so that there is no time-out or save the password in a package variable so that it is available for the duration of the session.

  • How to use FND_GLOBAL. APPS_INITIALIZE to integrate with EBS 11i security?

    Hello
    We strive to integrate APEX with Oracle e-Business Suite 11i. We strive to integrate the HR/payroll application that uses FND_GLOBAL. APPS_INITIALIZE to set the security context of a user id, liability and enforcement that defines that the session has access to the session. When we call FND_GLOBAL. APPS_INITIALIZE is one before the process the header or in the VPD security attribute, we get no data. Using the same call in SQL * get us the expected data.

    Any suggestions on how to get this to work? What do we lack?

    Thank you
    -Eric

    Hello

    FND_GLOBAL has been initialized successfully, but it seems that the HR_SECURITY does not work. I think the HR_SECURITY depends on the user of current database as APPS. By default, the Apex process runs with the current database user as HTMLDB_PUBLIC_USER.

  • Integration of APEX with EBS R12.1.1

    Dear all,

    As I need to integrate EBS R12.1.1 without SSO and APEX

    To do this, I followed the steps in the link below

    http://forums.Oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=586011 & tstart = 0

    The steps are

    Implemented at the Apex:

    1. create a blank page in OAE application, for example P2.

    2. edit the page attribute and set the security - authentication "Page is Public.

    3. create a branch in this page, as follows:

    Direction of Type Page accept transformation (not common)
    On the linen branch point: before header
    Action - Page 101 (that's my login page id)

    Implemented in EBS:

    1. create a profile under the responsibility of the developer of the Application as follows:

    Name OAE_LAUNCHER
    Request < what >
    User profile name Oracle Application Express Launcher
    Oracle Application Express Launcher description

    2. the superior set to the value of profile system-> profile-> system administrator responsibility and look for the "OAE_LAUNCHER". Set the value to the level of the Site as:

    port http:// < hostname >: < apex >/pls/apex

    3 create a function under the responsibility of the administrator system-> Application-> function, as follows:

    Name of the function LAUNCH_APEX
    Application of ApEX launch user function name
    Property function plsql SSWA type
    OAE_PKG of HTML Web. LaunchOAE

    4. create a PL/SQL Web entry under the responsibility of the system-> Security-> PL/SQL Web administrator, as follows:

    Name OAE_PKG
    Type package

    5. create an entry in any menu that need to use this link, as follows:

    Application of quick launch ApEX
    Function start an ApEX Application
    Description start an ApEX Application

    * 6. Compile the package OAE_PKG in EBS database *.

    procedure LaunchOAE (varchar2 parameters) is

    l_apex_launcher varchar2 (2000);
    l_apex_launcher_profile varchar2 (2000);
    l_userid applsys. FND_USER.user_id%type;

    l_org_id NUMBER;

    Start

    l_apex_launcher_profile: = fnd_profile.value('OAE_LAUNCHER');

    If l_htmldb_launcher_profile IS NULL then
    HTP.p (' contact the system administrator.) ');
    HTP.p ("profile - OAE_LAUNCHER is null");
    return;
    end if;

    l_userid: = FND_GLOBAL. USER_ID;
    l_username: = FND_GLOBAL. USER_NAME;

    l_apex_launcher: = l_apex_launcher_profile | l_launcher_params;

    owa_util. REDIRECT_URL (l_htmldb_launcher);

    end if;

    exception
    while others then
    HTP.p (SQLERRM);
    end LaunchOAE;

    I'm done up to 5 steps, but in step 6, during the compilation of the procedure, I get an error ORA-00900: invalid SQL statement

    could someone help me solve this error as I followed Rod West document

    If any other progressive documents available for Apex & EBS R12 integration please share.

    Kind regards
    Alexander

    Hi Serge,

    SSWA plsql function, is a property that you define everything by creating a FUNCTION under the RESPONSIBILITY of the SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR...

    If you want to integrate the APEX with EBS 11i or R12...

    As in R12, the JSP that is given in the document West Rod call APEX page shortly after clicking the menu in EBS...

    Therefore compile the JSP correctly by following the steps in the document, if you have compiled successfully, while the APEX page will be redirected by clicking on the MENU of the EBS.

    Make sure that U compile it successfully...

    Izz all wells

    Hi all

    I solved my problem now. I'm just being dumb of me

    In the init.ora, I see that there comment #.

    #log_archive_start = true

    Since it's the eve before db, it did not matter if its commented out.

    But when I switch to it, now, the question to which it can not automatically archive the online redo, it is why ALTER SYSTEM SWITCH LOGFILE wait forever

    Thank you ALL.

  • Cloning by rman on a different server with the directory structure different and different DBNAME in EBS 11i using quick Clone

    Hello

    We want only DB (not apps) cloning through PROD rman, step TEST EBS 11i using quick Clone without taking downtime of PROD (i.e. No. BKP COLD).

    Source and target are on different servers, different file structure and the different database name.

    Kindly let me know the detailed procedure?

    Kind regards

    RR

    You can use this simple method that I am.

    Take backup of production with rman:

    {

    overlap archivelog all;

    backup format compressed backupset database tag PROD_FULLBKP ' / u10/PROD1_L0_BKUP_20131125/PROD_DB_set%s_piece%p_%T_%U' filesperset 15;

    SQL 'alter database backup controlfile to trace. "

    SQL 'alter system switch logfile;

    SQL 'alter system switch logfile;

    SQL 'alter system switch logfile;

    overlap archivelog all;

    backup as compressed backupset archivelog all delete input PROD_ARCHBKP format tag ' / u10//PROD1_L0_BKUP_20131125/ARCH_PROD_set%s_piece%p_%T_%U' filesperset 20;

    backup format ' / u10/PROD1_L0_BKUP_20131125/PROD_ctl_%T_%U' current controlfile;

    }

    Move the backup on the test server:

    SCP /ftp

    Modify the pfile to the test server:

    Parameters such as:

    db_name

    control_files

    modify the pfile to match the location of the test server

    Add this parameter

    db_file_name_convert = ' / PROD_datafile_location/datafile ', ' / test_datafile_location / data ', ' / PROD_datafile_location/tempfile ', ' / test_datafile_location / data.

    log_file_name_convert = ' / PROD_redofile_location/ONLINELOG ', ' / test_redofile_location / data ".

    Start the DB:

    Start the db in nomount:

    startup nomount.

    Connecting to rman and start to restore:

    Auxiliary RMAN.

    RMAN > run

    {

    allocate auxiliary channel a1 device type disk;

    allocate auxiliary channels a2 device type disk;

    allocate auxiliary channel a3 device type disk;

    allocate auxiliary channel a4 device type disk;

    data duplicated in the PREPRODUCTION backup location ' / u10/PREPRODUCTION/oraR12/clone_backup/PROD1_L0_BKUP_20131125 ";

    }

    OR

    If you specify time/perform a recovery of time based, like below:

    RMAN > run

    {

    allocate auxiliary channel a1 device type disk;

    allocate auxiliary channels a2 device type disk;

    allocate auxiliary channel a3 device type disk;

    allocate auxiliary channel a4 device type disk;

    data duplicated in PREPRODUCTION backup location 'LOCATION_OF_BACKUP', until ' TO_DATE (7 July 2012 09:45 ',' DD/MM/YYYY HH24:MI:SS') ";

    }

    I am now to install the GR 2 11 again a new home, by instruction of docs.

    As usual the installation of RPM linux prerequisites, which are:

    Thank you very much

    My question is, I have made the right choice?

    Yes.

    I have taken note of some of the following:
    example:

    The number of ROUNDS required is > gcc 3.4.6
    But the CD has > gcc - 3.4.3 - 9.EL4.i386.rpm

    Who's down right? Can I still use it?

    No, you must use the exact (or higher) version.

    If not, my question is: why Oracle asked for a more recent version of the DVD
    Installer can offer? Do I need to use the RHEL 5 DVD Installer instead?

    No, use up2date or download the package from the internet (I think you already have Web sites) and apply it.

    No, it is not required that you follow all the steps described in the note... As you have not set up a portal, you can skip this step and move to another. This is the reason why "CONDITIONAL" was used in the respective step.

    I also want to know what is oracle Portal?

    I hope this helps!

  • EBS 11i RMAN backup

    Hi all

    EBS 11i

    OEL 5

    I have rman backup of our database of EBS.

    I also have a single backup at oracle.

    Assuming that no patches have been applied, is the one-time backup of oracle home + backup rman, good enough to restore the database to a server disaster recovery?

    Can I still place adpreclone every day, for the rman backup to synchronize?

    Adpreclone is used to capture changes to the patches applied, or adding database files? or both?

    Please throw lights...

    Thank you very much

    JC

    It is not possible to have several databases with the ORACLE_SID even on the same host.

    The solution is that you have to put on separate hosts.

  • EBS 11i version 11.5 binary download

    Hello

    I want to install a fresh instance of 11.5 test EBS 11i in my server with database demo of Vision and everything. I could find binaries of R12 to download for installation but couldn't find the binary 11i.

    Where can I fing download files to install the Oracle 11i Applications.

    No matter what version of 11i will suffice but 11.5 is preferable.

    Thank you
