Date rule

I would like to create a rule where a date attribute cannot precede another attribute date 30 days otherwise it won't.

For example: I have two attributes 'date', 'delivery date' and the 'sample date"... the person meets the requirements if the date of the sample above not more than 30 days before the shipping date.

How I wrote this in OPA?

Thank you!

Heather

Hi Heather,

Almost everything you want to do with dates can be done with one of (or often a combination of) date functions: Oracle Policy Modeling User Guide

For your particular scenario, there are a couple of ways to do it. Here are a few ideas...

You could use 'AddDays' function to find the date 30 days prior to shipping date and compare the sample that date:

the sample meets the requirements of date if

.. .the date sample > = AddDays (date of shipment,-30)

Or you could use one of the DayDifference functions to count the number of days between the date of the sample and the shipping date and compare that to 30:

the sample meets the requirements of date if

..... DayDifference (the date of the sample, the shipping date)<=>

And don't forget that you can add intermediate attributes so that the record of decision is clearer and more informative, for example something like that will probably give a much more informative than the above examples decision report.

the sample meets the requirements of date if

.. the number of days between the date of the sample and the shipping date<= the="" maximum="" number="" of="" allowable="" days="" between="" the="" sample="" date="" and="" the="" shipping="">

the number of days between the date of the sample and the shipping date = DayDifference (the date of the sample, the shipping date)

the maximum number of days allowed between the date of the sample and the shipping date = 30

(Note: I just write these on the top of my head without trials, so I may have missed something, so of course test by yourself.) I'm really just give some ideas here).

See you soon,.

  • Certview Certification Dates - rules OK?

I was happy to take my exam 1z0-047 (for SQL Certified Expert (ECAS)) on St. Patricks Day; the beginning of the review has been slightly delayed by need someone to buy a Guinness pint of egg at the bridge of Didier, but the completion was just after noon so that I had missed breakfast lunch every day the possibility for a good return to the bridge of didier.

In any case, I was really happy for my pass and it certification Certview from 11 h 00 GMT. Wow. Great stuff. (I assume must be reall Fortunately for her that are fast, the ENS a fair bit more than this (14 days), but it is good to know that it can sometimes happen very quickly).

Then I looked at the date of my other certifications.

-My DBA OCA 11 g was fore on March 17, 2010 also (from December 2008); as has my PLSQL Developer OCA (from February-09).
-My date of DBA OCA 10 g rest null... but its been null for centuries.

At least pass review dates look right. I guess that some my questions relate to the previous pass 1z0-051).

I hesitate so to force everyone to go try and fix this... the last time, someone tried to fix my certview I lost 60% or my Oracle Certifications.

And of course I'm still waiting for modeling successfully implemented which allows me an "Oracle Enterprise Linux application specialist certified" due to a passage of the exam 1z0-402.

Spooky - just a manual achievement because there is still nothing of subjects with the rules of this Linux in CertView :-)

  • Business on form data rule

    Hello-

I have a data form, and the business rule attached to the form named "calculate the data form. Wanted to know if this business rule is system generated and what xactly does this rule performs. Is it just a rule of aggregation? When I go to

EE I do not see this BR. It ia an another BR by name "Calculate currencies" which also seems to be a system generated BR?

Is it possible to change these rules?

    Thank you!

    Hello

It is system generated and you'll see not in environmental assessments. He does what he says he calculates what is on the form.

"*" By default, business rules calculate data and calculate the currencies are selected. Calculate the data form is automatically created for the data forms to calculate subtotals. Calculate the currencies is created for the forms of data that include more than one currency in a line, column or page, to allow the conversion of values between the currencies available. You can clear the currencies to calculate if you use scripts custom calc to calculate currency conversions. "You can erase calculate the data form to prevent planners calculate data in forms of data. *

  • Generation of mapping error when you use a data rule

I hope someone can point me in the right direction on this one. I looked everywhere but could not find a similar problem anywhere.

It is customer 10.2.0.1.31 OWB and 10.2.0.1.0 repository in a 10g database SE. I have a table on which I defined a data policy, which is deployed in the database as well as its corresponding error table. The rule I used is the integrated IS_DATE, and it is applied to a VARCHAR2 field that will store a date in a specific format. I set the table as an operator in a map and set data IS_DATE rule action to PASS to the ERROR. When I try to deploy the mapping I get the following errors in the log:

    WARNING-ORA-06550: line 244, column 4:
PL/SQL: ORA-00907: lack the right parenthesis

    WARNING-ORA-06550: line 221, column 3:

and as between LIKE2_ LIKE4_ LIKEC_ | Member of type multiset
    SUBMULTISET_
The symbol "." was replaced by "DD" continue.

When I look at the generated code, there are lines like this:

not (wb_to_date ("table". ""»(, mois dd, RRRR, Mon dd, RRRR RRRR-MM-JJ, MM/DD/RRRR, AAAA-MM-JJ, AAAA/MM/JJ) column is not null "

Why OWB is not to put single quotes around the rule of data data formats integrated? Is there something fundamental that miss me in my warehouse model?

I think it should be sufficient for the logic diagram of AIF_TGT a link to the physical schema of your MS SQL in your context. The screenshot below is from a test area PS3 I've got with a MS SQL schema (11.1.2.3 / FDMEE), but the same concept applies:

When you run scripts etc in ODI is always the name of logical schema that is used to identify resources. Contexts are then used to bind logical patterns to a particular physical system with physical schemas in this particular context.

If you bind the AIF_TGT to the physical schema of your MS SQL in the context you are using so I think this should probably do the trick

  • Optimization of data rules

    Hello

The database performance is greatly affected by the number and size tables?

Example (which scenario would be the best optimization):

-database with a few tables with multiple domains

-database with a lot of tables with each table fields less

    Thank you

    Cathy

The database performance is greatly affected by the number and size tables?

    The question is moot.

A table, large or small, that is never questioned won't affect performance at all.

A small table which is heavily used can affect performance more than to a large table which is rarely used.

Example (which scenario would be the best optimization):

-database with a few tables with multiple domains

-database with a lot of tables with each table fields less

Nor - optimization is not done by manually manipulating the columns or tables.

Data models could normalize the data at least third normal form. Optimization occur naturally mainly as a direct consequence.

It is a combination of data, the data model and using data that determines and affects the optimization.

  • FDMEE: Data load rule problem

    Hello everyone,

I have a question to FDMEE loading the data from a flat file to the validation step because a wrong to the mapping of the data rule it look like

It is not an entity or an account

What is the fault in the charge of mapping data?

You must fix your entity as a card. Presumably there must be 2 *.

You must familiarize yourself with the documentation FDMEE

  • Can we use Source accounting entity group to load the data from multiple entities with a single rule to load?

Page 79 of erpi_admin_11123200.pdf says that "reporting entity groups are used to extract data from several reporting entities in a single data rule execution.  I use standard EBS adapter to load data in HFM application, I created a group of entity made up of several accounting entities, but I can't find a place in FDMEE where you get to select/use this group... When you define an import format you type the name and select Source (e, g. EBS) system you can select Map Source (for example EBS11 I adapter) or the accounting entity (it is what I select to define data load maps), but not both.  Note that there is no place to select the Group of accounting entity...  Location check menu group entity drop-down but it doe not my group of accounting entity which I believe is anyway something different... and creating a location and pointing to a format compatible with the selected Source adapter is no not good either... I'm confused, so is it possible to load data from several reporting entities in one rule to load or am I misreading the documentation?  Thank you in advance.

Do not leave the field blank in the Import Format. If leave you empty to the place, when you set the rule to load data (for the location with EBS as a Source system), you will be able to select a single accounting entity or a group of accounting entity.

  • Loading data to Essbase with ODI rules file

    Hi all

I need to load the flat file DATA (no metadata) or an Oracle table in to ESSBASE using ODI.

Where can I find an example or a tutorial on the loading procedure.
I have not have how to use ODI with a rules file:

    (1) in the standard rule file I can insert a transformation (join, split ecc.) can be used
a rule like this in ODI file?

    (2) if I put the file of IKM SQL for Hyperion Essbase (DATA) rules I have to manually set the mapping
between the source and target? the mapping is not set in the rule file?

    (3) can I use both the type of rules (flat file or SQL) file?

Thanks a lot for your help!

If you go to the next page in my blog, you should see a link to all the different posts around ODI and hyperion knowledge modules - http://john-goodwin.blogspot.com/2011/08/odi-series-summary.html

In ODI, you can do all the transformations, the rule of the load is really used to optimize the process of loading the data.
You must configure your interface with source and target mapping, and then create a rule to load that corresponds to the mapping of the target.
You can use any type of source.

IExpense module it is a rule of Data Type of expense named "rule of entertainment." When we give this rule to any type of expense (for example Entertainment) in the free service request details page two additional areas (information of employees) and employee information will be displayed.

My requirement is to change that rule so that it shows only a single region (employee information) in the self service page.

Can anyone help me by explaining the process to modify or create a new 'fresh Type data rule' in iExpenses?

    Thanks in advance.

    Anand,

Blame Internet charge of configuration and Administration of your username.

These select Internet charge of installation.

Click on the 18th tab, then fresh fields on the Policy tab.

On the left side, you have the Type of expense rules.

  • Loading data mapping

    Hi all

Pleas help me on the import using MapLoper map I can't import excel excel map file I read the documentation and search lots of ways to help

I've successfully used the MapLoader.xls several times to FDM and FDMEE with different versions of Excel.  The trick is NOT to change the file on the 'set a name' for the area to be downloaded. In my view, column F, 'Data rule name', has a formula in there that don't SHOULD NOT be changed.  On the right of this table, to be formulated additional which should NOT be touched.

I don't have access to a MapLoader.xls file now, but I remember that the specification of "Defining a name" goes to about 10,000 lines.  If you need more rows, you can INSERT lines in the area to "Define a name" and Excel automatically updated the "set."

    Good luck.

  • Previous role is removed when adding a new role based on the rule.

I created a user-defined, domain and based on this attribute, I created a rule.

It works very well, when the attribute is updated in the table form/USR for a user, the rule kicks in and the role is granted to the user.

This part works fine, but when the next role is added, the previous is removed.

    for example

USR table - UDF (User Defined Field) - AD_Group

    Role - rule - role Cust_Group = "AD_Group1".

    RoleB - rule - RoleB Cust_Group = "AD_Group2".

    Anyone know a similar situation?

    Thank you

    Arun

Looks like you manage the role assignment both having the same value of the UDF. First time when you assign the role of the data rule contains UDF is vale as "ABC" then after update through "BCD" which will trigger the second rule but upset the previously obtained. This is the expected behavior.

Suggestion: you need to do different UDF for the second rule. and so on.

  • With FDM/ERPi of Oracle Data Source incremental data loads

    Hello

I use ERPi 11.1.2.1. In the workspace, it is possible to set the option of the rule of the data load to be instant, or incremental. However, I use FDM/ERPi set to load data from Oracle GL in Essbase. Is it possible for me to put in place the FDM for the data to load incremental data rules charges? Could be a parameter in the source ERPi adapter?

Thanks for any information you could provide.

Yes, the source ERPi adapter there is an option for "Method of Load Data" that will allow you to define how the rule of the DL is run. By default, it is "FULL REFRESH" but can be changed.

    (A) connecting to the application via the workbench and the source system adapters
    (B) make a right click on the Source ERPI adapter and choose "options".

You will see an option to load method and it will be the full refresh value, choose the value of the option you want in the menu drop-down and save.
