Determine the amount of columns

Is it possible to determine the amount of columns a textflow generates when textFlow.columnCount = FormatValue.AUTO?

textFlow.computedContainerFormat.columnCount gives 'auto '.

It is possible by reviewing the TextFlowLines attached to the flowComposer using the API. ContainerControllers have an absoluteStart and a textLength.

You can access the last TextFlowLine in a container and examine its columnIndex.

    Hello

    I'm sorry I didn't know you already had the map.  There is a property for NO-Scope node to determine the total amount of available memory that we can then divide down to get the memory available per channel.  Please see the vi and help below:

    This gives a shot, just drop it in a VI that you use and if it should return your memory cards.  If you don't have a LabVIEW I can probably retrieve the purchased version by querying your serial number.

    Hello axiomtest,

    There are two stickers on the back of the card (including one with a barcode) and the other without.  The part number is that without the bar code and from there, you can search your memory option on our Web site.  If there is no sticker on the card, which looks like yours have been removed, then use this example of community in LabVIEW to determine the size of your card.

  • How to determine the amount of adds to add to my itinerary map

    I currently have two different ISP and I use BGP for redundancy. I see about 50% more traffic coming inbound on one ISP on the other. So I want to do is precede my ACE using a road map to one of the ISP's to create a more equitable balance of incoming traffic. I understand that this is not an accurate method of inbound load balancing and to my knowledge it is not an exact science to the load balancing incoming BGP with two ISP using different but I would try to make the incoming traffic more equitable between the two Internet service providers.

    So my question is. Is there a way to determine how much makes precede I would add to the roadmap before implementing this change or simply add a prefix and note the change and then add traffic structure adds as a result?

    Thanks in advance for any help.

    K.

    I don't think that there is a good way to determine how many prefaces for use before making any changes. You should add one, check on the distribution of traffic to see the effect and then add another until you get the approximate balance you want.

  • Best way to determine the amount of disk space is required for a deployment of office?

    We are conducting an assessment on the Lake and he examines disk space total used by our desktop computers, but I want to determine how much space SAN we need for our driver. What is the best way to understand this assuming we go with linked Clones, but have yet to determine how many bases we have pictures...

    It is counting on the OS and the numbers of virtual machines, for linked clone images, you might need a few of them, one for the standard user, one for the user of the task and one for users with power "admins".

    Also, is that the application will be with the operating system or using ThinApp?

    All these he had to be consider about before you go to the design of the storage, think also about having the SSD in your host supported replica image "linked clone.

  • How can I determine the amount of disk space is required to remove a snapshot of peacebuilding assistance, then a fret?

    I have a 27G vm running on Fusion 2.0.1 - the Mac OS X file system has only about 15 G of free space. I want to shrink the vm disk to release ~ 10 of unused space (which was initially to unpack a large SQL Server db that has since been removed in XP), however, I am unable to use tools to decrease because there are snapshots and cannot remove the last snapshot - when I try I get the error: «unable to clean deleted files» : There is not enough space on the file system for the selected operation. »

    I read other associated messages and understand how the snapshot deletion process works (stolen turns into the existing vm before be deleted). I tried a solution of possible workaround I've seen described elsewhere - creation of a new snapshot, and then remove the existing (old) snapshot and try to remove then the new snapshot - however, which results in the same error. If this procedure fails, a snapshot of the 'Consolidation of assistance' is sometimes created.

    I think that error indicates that space is insufficient on the Mac file system, is that correct? The 15G is not enough. If so, is there a simple rule that told me how much free space will be necessary?

    It depends on.  IF you have created your virtual disk as a monolith, then you need at least as much free space as the defined maximum size of the virtual drive.  If you created it as a disc of 2 GB-Split, then you need a little more than 2 GB of free space.

  • How determine the crossover frequency

    I'm having a hard time to understand how the high-pass filter determines vs high frequency. What value it measures. ? A change of RGB values or contrast? I see the sharpness of words or blur, but what values determine the amount of blur or sharpening? Is there and the actual frequency being high or is it just a metaphor to compare it to the audio crossover?

    No details on the workings of this filter is appreciated.

    A few additional explanations:

    Audio signals:
    frequency = cycles per second
    It is the frequency in the time domain.
    An arbitrary signal can be represented by a set of harmonic signals (sine, cosine)
    In addition, some DC (direct current, non-periodic component).
    A typical high-pass filter for audio signals:
    The cut-off frequency fc is at the transition between the increase in gain
    (low frequencies) and fixed gain 1.0 (high frequency).
    frequency reduction (mitigation)
    CF 0.01 0.01
    CF 0.10 0.1
    CF 1,00 0.707
    10.0 fc 1.0
    100 CF 1.0

    A typical high-pass filter for digital images:
    frequency = cycles per unit of length or (better) cycles per pixel
    It is the frequency in the space field.
    The highest frequency is 0.5 cycles per pixel (alternation of black and white pixels)
    A line of arbitray in a digital image can be represented by a set of harmonic signals
    In addition, DC-part.
    Each channel that r, G, B is filtered individually, one after the other.
    Frequency and gain are as above.

    A high pass filter applies to mitigation<1 to="" low="" frequency="" signal="">
    and removes the DC component entirely. This would result in a black background.
    Therefore, the background is extended to R = G = B = 128 (8 bits per channel) or
    R = G = B = 0.5 (standard).

    Edges contain stronger high-frequency components. These are preserved.

    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/high-pass_filter

    In this doc, we find a simple implementation:
    y [0]: = x [0]
    for i from 1 to n
    y [i]: = a * y [i-1] + a * (x [i] - x [i-1])
    return y

    x [i] are values of R (or G or B) row in column i in the original image
    y [i] are values of R (or G or B) on the same line in column I after filtering.
    Factor (a) indirectly contains the cutoff frequency.
    This example does not yet apply the SHIFT R = G = B = 128.

    The implementation can be different (filter not recursive instead of recursive, as indicated above,
    higher order instead of first order, using a filter kernel 3 * 3 5 * 5 pixels instead of work
    in each row independently).

    I'm not trying to explain how Photoshop!  There are so many alternatives.

  • Questions about to determine the size of the array of data storage with flexibility

    I try to use the CVI function below to load data from .csv file to the table that I was intending to use later:

    filereturnvalue = FileSelectPopup ("c:\\Users\\Desktop\\FileDirectory", "*.csv", "", 'Select the data file', VAL_LOAD_BUTTON, 0, 0, 1, 0, LoadFilePath);

    FileToArray (DATAArray, VAL_CHAR, LoadFilePath, MaxDataSize, 1, VAL_GROUPS_TOGETHER, VAL_GROUPS_AS_COLUMNS, VAL_ASCII);

    For the data table "predetermined", it is quite straightforward, because the size of the table is already set.  However, I wonder if there is anyway I could use CVI directly import data and determine the size of the array on the fly?  Which means that the user need not know the length of the data, and it could be determined then to import the file.

    Hello

    for ASCII files, you can do so in any first read the file and counting the newline characters, something like:

    int file_handle;
    int index;
    int size = 0;
    char line_buffer [80];

    If (OpenFile (...) > 0)
    {
    While (ReadLine (...) > 0)
    {
    size ++;
    }
    }
    CloseFile(f) (file_handle);

    This way you can determine the number of rows you have, but you must have an idea of how long a line may be, one number per line or 32000 because you must specify the size of your line_buffer.

    In the next step you analyserions monotube for occurrence of your column separator (say a ;) to determine the number of columns (separators found + 1).

  • Determine the size of the component during execution

    I am trying to build a component Paginagion of size fixed. The number of pages which means that the size of the paging is fixed, however depending on the content may vary. Most do not specify how much is displayed on a single page.

    The idea is to use the text as input and push as much as can be displayed on the page. Factors having an influence here is the fonts and formatting.

    To determine the page which you should see that I need to understand the amount of text that can be displayed. To do this, I need to know the size of the element that contains the text (think label). The size of the label is however only determined after that is layouted. So here's what I could do:

        @Override
        public void start(Stage primaryStage) {
            Label lbl = new Label("uitroweigudfgf jkfhgklfsjghslkghs kflgskjgh");
            System.out.println(lbl.getWidth()+","+lbl.getHeight());
            lbl.widthProperty().addListener(new ChangeListener<Number>(){
                @Override
                public void changed(ObservableValue<? extends Number> ov, Number t, Number t1) {
                    System.out.println(lbl.getWidth()+","+lbl.getHeight());
                }
            });
            lbl.heightProperty().addListener(new ChangeListener<Number>(){
                @Override
                public void changed(ObservableValue<? extends Number> ov, Number t, Number t1) {
                    System.out.println(lbl.getWidth()+","+lbl.getHeight());
                }
            });
            StackPane root = new StackPane();
            root.getChildren().add(lbl);

            Scene scene = new Scene(root, 300, 250);

            primaryStage.setTitle("Hello World!");
            primaryStage.setScene(scene);
            primaryStage.show();
       }

    After the third change, I have the dimensions of the label. With this method, I would have to push all of the text in labels to figure out what can be displayed.

    Is there a better way to do it?

    My basic problem was with the size of the labels. Try to find a solution I had a look at LabelSkinBase which uses the Utils class in the same package. This class provides methods (although private package) to calculate the size of the text that results from:

    static Text helper = new Text();

    static double computeTextWidth(Font font, String text, double wrappingWidth) {
      helper.setText(text);
      helper.setFont(font);
      // Note that the wrapping width needs to be set to zero before
     // getting the text's real preferred width.
      helper.setWrappingWidth(0);
      helper.setLineSpacing(0);
      double w = Math.min(helper.prefWidth(-1), wrappingWidth);
      helper.setWrappingWidth((int)Math.ceil(w));
      return Math.ceil(helper.getLayoutBounds().getWidth());
    }

    static double computeTextHeight(Font font, String text, double wrappingWidth) {
      return computeTextHeight(font, text, wrappingWidth, 0);
    }

    static double computeTextHeight(Font font, String text, double wrappingWidth, double lineSpacing) {
      helper.setText(text);
      helper.setFont(font);
      helper.setWrappingWidth((int)wrappingWidth);
      helper.setLineSpacing((int)lineSpacing);
      return helper.getLayoutBounds().getHeight();
    }

    static int computeTruncationIndex(Font font, String text, double width) {
      helper.setText(text);
      helper.setFont(font);
      helper.setWrappingWidth(0);
      helper.setLineSpacing(0);
      // The -2 is a fudge to make sure the result more often matches
      // what we get from using computeTextWidth instead. It's not yet
      // clear what causes the small discrepancies.
      Bounds bounds = helper.getLayoutBounds();
      Point2D endPoint = new Point2D(width - 2, bounds.getMinY() + bounds.getHeight() / 2);
      return helper.impl_hitTestChar(endPoint).getCharIndex();
    }

    With that, I am able to determine the amount of text can be put into the label, without the chain of ellipsis appears.

  • Insert data according to the length of column in table

    Hello

    If the length of the characters is more than one defined causes error. It's very embarrassing especially when get data dynamically

    and our query does not insert information that we expect.

    While trying to find the solution an idea came to my mind that, before insertion, so we check that the next data is greater than the specified length

    Take only the amount of characters that can be inserted and ignore the rest.

    I thought that the query as follows but failed.
    SQL> insert into cvDetails(cv_id,objectives) values(9687,substr("Hello",1,3950));
    insert into cvDetails(cv_id,objectives) values(9687,substr("Hello",1,3950))
                                                               *
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-00984: column not allowed here
    Is it possible to insert data up to the amount this column length defined by ignoring the obsolete characters and if the data

    length is less defined length of column, and then insert it as it is?

    Thank you in anticipation

    Hello

    Do not use double quotes as the string delimiters:

    SQL> create table test_nsa (str varchar2(10));

    Table created.

    Elapsed: 00:00:00.88
    SQL> insert into test_nsa values (substr('aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa',1,10));

    1 row created.

    Elapsed: 00:00:00.08

  • Determine the OCD and skin of pixels of the published file - how to?

    Hello

    I develop a few movies in Captivate that I want to play (load and unload as swf) in Flash. I know the size of the stage of Captivate, but how to determine the amount of pixels to add to the Flash file to cover the skin and the Table of contents (TOC)?

    I see a framework I put it in the skin that allows me to put the pixels at the bottom of the skin - 31 pixels. As well is the top automatically 31? And I cannot find anywhere how I set or just say what will be the table of contents.

    I hope someone can help here. Checked several assignments and do not see this issue.

    Thank you.

    Hello

    It's definitely somewhere in these forums. In the current version of the CP (you use CP4, since you're talking about the table of contents) you cannot change the width of the table of contents: there always 250pixels for the width. If you use the separate option for the table of contents, these 250px will be added to the width of your movie captured, if you use the Overlay option, it does not change the width.

    In CP4, if you use the horizontal play bar (I prefer navigating through the table of contents), it will add about 30 px at the height of your movie, given that the play bar is always outside the movie (unlike previous versions). THAs is what you're talking about, I think you see this in the options for borders. For the default playback bar it is indeed 31px. The top, left and right borders do not exist in the default settings. If you add them, you can also choose the width of these other borders. The lower border is only thick because of the presence of PlayBar in this border. I think, if you add other borders, you not like the look of these thick borders and reduce them to maybe 2 to 5 pixels, so much less pixels will be added.

    I hope that clarifies something?
