Difference between printing PDF and convert them to PDF format

The accessibility of the web (screen readers, etc.), is there a difference, and if so, what is the difference?

Thank you

Hello
PDF can certainly be effectively used by contemporary and accessible assitive technology.
With Acrobat 8 or 9 professionals.
It's harder or easier than offer well-trained, accessible HTML.
With both, the major premise is that the content author knows the ' what and how ' and then this.
Without this, it is gigo for either.
When "well done", there is no need to go into something else.
"PDF cannot be accessible" is a common preception that is a conceptual mistake.

You can find two seminars request to the community of users of Adobe Acrobat addressing accessibility PDF of some interest.

http://www.acrobatusers.com/learning_center/eseminars_on_demand

The most recent, "Tech Talk: Making PDF files comply with Section 508", was introduced by Duff Johnson.
The other, "Accessibility", was introduced by Charlie Pike.

Another resource is the accessibility of the AUC Forum
http://www.acrobatusers.com/forums/aucbb/viewforum.php?id=18

Answer your question specifically; well trained, labeled output PDF that supports use of assistive technology
is not possible via the process standard of 'print '.

Initial assistance from applications that support the tag Manager is essential.
Adobe FrameMaker and InDesign provide. MS Word he directed via Adobe PDFMaker or module of NetCentric 'LEGS '.
Properly the content author dealt with results of management label in PDF files to output tagged requiring the minimum amount of post-processing to ensure accessibility. Tagless PDF output can be manually 'worked' accessibility - interesting activity but not ideal for the 'production '.
Point out that a 'hot' knowledgeable body will have to "put House" (but then, this is true of HTML as well).

Be well...

  • Differences between (interactive) PDF and PDF (Print)

What are the main differences between (Interactive) PDF and PDF (Print)?
Now, it seems to me that (Interactive) PDF is a limited version of PDF (Print).

Links to read on this subject?

    Thank you in advance,
    Feldmayer

They are really two different options of the same thing.

A PDF print can be interactive and interactive PDF can go to print.

It really depends on content and distribution.

If a PDF will print, often has no need to keep one of the aspects of a PDF interactive (and PDF printing is not likely to have videos, etc..)

If a PDF file is intended to be interactive, it is usually intended to be distributed via the web or by email, in order to keep pictures high resolution is not necessary.

There is a bit of compromise.

I used to keep the interactive bookmarks in a print file, but not always.

  • Difference between "Auto off" and "Sleep" on LaserJet P1102W

The user guide for the LaserJet P1102W indicates that the default Auto setting in the properties is 5 minutes.  "Automatic stop" drop-down list does not contain a setting of 5 minutes - rather it contains "never, 30 min and 1,2,4,8, & 24 hours."  However, the drop-down list 'Sleep' contain 5 min and other selections up to 1 hour.  What is the difference between auto-off"and"Sleep ".

After the installation of this new printer, the default settings have been = 5 Minutes ' Sleep' and 'Auto off' = never

I have several computers around the House than any print to the same printer.  I want to always available for printing without issue in the basement to activate it, but yet they want more economic mode.

What is the difference between 'Sleep' and 'Auto off' and how should I put them in my terms of service desired?

    Thank you.

    Hello

I understand that you are looking for some explanations between the Sleep and automatic shutdown of the Laserjet P1102W printer. I would be happy to offer you answers!

For your desired operating conditions, I think that you already put as you would like. Standby essentially puts the printer in a State of very low power consumption, but the printer can be awakened from this State by sending a print job (meaning you don't have to go to the printer to remove it from that State). The auto-off function off the printer completely after a period of time. The only way to take the printer out of State would be to go to the printer and press the power button.

To have several computers connected to this one printer I would recommend leaving the auto-off Never and Eve to what you think is the best. As I said, the printer will wake up fashion 'sleep' and accomplish what you ask without physically going to the printer.

Hope this helps, have a nice day!

  • Difference between the G20 and G25 models

    Hi people!

I searched your laptop and I was amazed by the Qosmio.
When I was going to order it, I noticed that there are many models of the G20 with different specifications. Also, I found G25 on internet research and found no difference between the G25 and G20 except receiver TV G25 is NTSC and G20 was released on March and G25 was in June. Instead, they have the same specifications for the hard drive.

I live in the Portugal and the model Qosmio I can find that this is the G20-118. I was looking for the model that has 2 x 100 GB SATA HD, but cannot not thought about it.

Internet research I found Qosmio G20-111 which has 2 x 100 GB SATA HD, but on the web page mentioned that it was a Pentium III processor (ridiculous, isn't?). I was looking for more reliable information.

Already searched for toshiba pages and found no specifications for all models I found 490LS on the research on the web as the G20 - 102, 105, 106, 108, 109, 111, 118, 123,...

Can someone help me with this? Are there any reliable web page where I can see the differences between the models? is there a .pdf or anyone who can please give me some advice?

Money is not a problem at this time to acquire the laptop, I'm looking for only the laptop performance more!

    Best regards

  • What is the difference between the IO and line?

    Hi all

I'm using Labview 7 and in my mahcine I have an installed 6013 card. However, there was an interface card designed by someone else long ago, on the table, only AO0, AO1,..., A07, DIO0, DIO1,..., DIO7 were printed. In the program, I saw some code to write to digital Line.vi allows you to send data to the digial io. Say that I write for DIO 3, so I understand here DIO 3 means the channel of e/s 3, but online? What is the difference between the channel and the line? When I write the data to a single channel of e/s, are us wriitng a byte or a bit of it? Thank you.

A channel is usually used with inputs/outputs analog.  Each AI or AO is a string.

  • What is the difference between the audiobook and podcast?

I have been in charge of research and research - can't seem to understand what is the difference between an audiobook and podcast?

They are treated differently on the "rocket"?

At the end of the PC, the difference is probably only in how works the subscription service.  Podcasts can get updated automatically and old versions deleting automatically with itunes, mediamonkey, etc...  On the "rocket", audibook bookmarking features may work differently, but I have not played with them.  the "rocket" can read DRM from audible .aa files but your rocket must be bu Audible 'authorized' (what happens when you connect the "rocket" to your PC and run the Audible Download Manager).  I never heard of podcasts with DRM, but that's neither here nor there.

I do not understand the question above, but to answer your question in
the subject line, "what's the difference between Windows 7 and.
Windows 7 Starter? "the Windows 7 Starter Edition is not another
operating system, it's just kind of Windows 7. And it is the lowest

    Hi Blu,

How a view and procedure may do the same thing?  They are two different things with different objectives.  You use the correct one depending on what you want to achieve; they are not interchangeable.

    And another question...!

    (Q) how you will store Japan, characters of China in a database table? will there be a new feature in Oracle 11 g?

    (A) I use dbms_lob package? Japan/China characters are multi byte characters... so we can use the nclob data type?

    is this correct... ?

No, it not there no novelty in Oracle 11 g for the storage of Japanese or Chinese characters, because there is already a feature for their storage in previous versions as well.  It is determined by the parameters characterset and nationality that you use when you create the database.

Why would you choose to store them in a LOB using DBMS_LOB?  Yes, they have multibyte characters, but if you have configured your database for the correct character sets, for example using UTF - 8, then you can store the characters in VARCHAR2, like any other language.  The only difference is that the storage of 4000 bytes limit still applies, so you maybe isn't able to store 4000 multibyte characters in a varchar2 column 4000 single-byte, it can be as little as 1000 characters if they are all characters in 4 bytes.  (Note: 12 c limit in SQL can be increased up to 32,767 characters, to harmonize it with variable varchar2 PL)

  • What is the difference between the model and its clone in VMware?

What is the difference between the model and its clone in VMware?

    Clone

A clone is a copy of the virtual machine.

You can't convert back the cloned Virtual Machine.

A Clone of a Virtual Machine can be created when the Virtual Machine is running

Cloning can be done in two ways: Clone full and linked Clone.

A full clone is an independent copy of a virtual machine that shares nothing with the parent virtual machine after the cloning operation. Continuous operation of a full clone is entirely separate from the parent virtual machine.

A linked clone is a copy of a virtual machine that shares virtual disks with the virtual machine of parent on a regular basis. This preserves disk space and allows multiple virtual machines to use the same software installation.

Cloning of a virtual machine can save time if you are deploying several similar virtual machines. You can create, configure, install the software on a single VM and then clone several times, rather than the creation and configuration of each virtual machine individually.

    Model

A model is an original copy or a reference image of a virtual machine that can be used to create many clones.

Models can be turned on or edited and are harder to change than usual of virtual machine.

You can convert the model to the Virtual Machine update model base with the latest released patches and updates and to install or upgrade any software and still convert to template to use for the future deployment of Virtual Machines with the latest patches.

Convert virtual machine model cannot be performed, when the virtual machine is running.  Only the Clone to the model can be performed when the Virtual Machine is running.

A model offers a safer way to preserve a virtual machine configuration that you want to deploy several times.

When you clone a virtual machine or deploy a virtual machine from a template, the cloned virtual machine resulting is independent of the virtual machine or the original model.

  • Difference between APIs / SDKs and their purpose

    Hello!

I have a running vSphere environment and I am a beginner with the vSphere APIs and SDKs in c#. So I started reading with getting started with vSphere SDK - Update for 4.1 SDK release and downloaded the SDK and API packages.

First of all, I got PowerCLI with vSphere SDK for .NET and read the vSphere SDK for .NET Developer's guide. Then, I downloaded the package vSphere web services SDK, samples and DLLs compiled and am reading in the programming guide.

But the bird's-eye view that API/SDK is best for what and how to use it is still missing.

Do I have reason to assume, as vSphere SDK both vSphere Web Services SDK depend on vSphere API that is available on each ESX host?

I found the vSphere API reference , but it seems to me that Web Services SDK and vSphere SDK samples, using the same objects and vSphere API methods directly.

The only difference I found is, that examples of web services use AppUtil who still uses the vSphere API but vSphere SDK isn't. Is - this right and where is the advantage by using one of the software development instead of vSphere API kits? When using web services SDK, can I use the AppUtil of samples?

So you see, I'm a bit confused by the possibilities and usage. In particular the difference between vSphere SDK and vSphere Web Services SDK is not clear for me.

Can you help me by summarizing briefly the differences and the objectives of these packages? Or is it a good document which deals with this subject?

    Thanks and greetings

    Patrick

    Hello

You are right in saying that the vSphere SDK and vSphere Web Services SDK depend on vSphere API.

Just to clear your confusion, both vSphere SDK and vSphere Web Services SDK are logically the same, there is no difference between them.

vSphere SDK using Web Services as the underlying technology/channel to manage any virtual infrastructure. This management is achieved using vSphere API, formerly called VI APIs, which are exposed as web services, that run on each ESX system.

For a better understanding of vSphere Web Services SDK, see the file Readme html doc comes with the SDK package.

I hope that this will help to clear your confusion!

    Thank you.

  • What is the difference between Pro Acrobat and LiveCycle Designer 8.1ES?

    Hello

What is the difference between Pro Acrobat and LiveCycle Designer 8.1ES?

    Thank you

    Hello

    They are two different programs.

    Acrobat

This can be used to generate other types of document native PDF files. In addition, you can create forms that are called AcroForms. These retain most of the functionality that looks like in Acrobat to comment on.

The form IS a PDF file.

Acrobat is avialable for Windows and Mac.

    LiveCycle Designer

This program is used to develop forms and is completely separate from Acrobat. The forms are called XFA forms, which means XML Forms Acrhitecture. The focus is quite the processing of data.

While the forms that are created in the designer of the LC can be opened in Acrobat (Reader), they are not native PDF files and some of the features normally is not available. For example, while you can add data to the fields when the form is opened in Acrobat, you can not change the form itself in Acrobat. If you want to change the form, you will need to open again in LC Designer.

It comes with the Windows of Acrobat Pro version. There isn't a Mac version of LC Designer.

It's a broad overview brush, it could be useful.

  • What is the difference between a model and an external style sheet?

I try to understand what is the difference between a model and an external style? I finished doing my model and I know that want to base each page on that. Isn't it the same as the external style sheet?

Since I've already gone ahead and created a model with a ton of styles, I should remove the styles from the model and recreate them so that they exist in an external style sheet?

I recommend that, Yes.  This way if you want to add/remove/edit one of your CSS, you only download this single file, not all the files in the site.
