  Depending on what you mean by "voice command", either:

  Settings / general / accessibility / VoiceOver / OFF, or

  Settings / Siri / OFF

  As for your use of the battery, you can check what app pulls most of its use in the settings / battery.  A new version of the app is sometimes problematic, not necessarily iOS or iPhone.  If you see a unusual % of use of a particular application, or force-to leave it removal/reinstalling it or remove it until an update comes.  If anything seems unusual, it might be a problematic installation of iOS, in which case, you could backup your iPhone and restore it:

  It seems they have changed the way search works after the update. You can always edit contacts by opening the Contacts app, then open the contact you want to change. We do not know why they made the change, but unfortunately it is out of our reach. I don't know that they had a reason for this.   It is a decision that was made by Apple.  El Capitan is the newest OSX that will support a 2009 MBP.

  This is not uncommon.  My 2006 MBP came with Tiger, but is limited to OSX Snow Leopard.

  Old hardware ends up by becoming obsolete with newer technology.

  Same problem here... I have no icons or tick boxes at all in Yahoo mail and it affects a good few other sites too, just small square boxes with numbers inside. It's really annoying!
