Discoverer in R12

Hai all,

tried to install Discoverer for r12 in the same server where I installed oracle applications... discovere installation went well... did al the changes in the application layer, running autoconfig... now BI works very well... When I try to start the application service, opm starts not defective with the address of link error already in use
for the port of 6200
[root@apps ~] # lsof | grep 6200
oradisc opmn 15030 9u IPv4 110635 TCP *: 6200 (LISTEN)
How can I solve this?

Kai

Glad to be of assistance.

In my view, that the best source is the Oracle documentation.

    Hello

Do I still need to import the EUL objects?

No, you don't need to. However, you must refresh the views of the company. Is there some new folders in version R12 you need then you will need to import some of the EUL R12, but I don't think much has changed.

  • Discoverer of the EBS R12

    Hello

What version of discoverer that comes with EBS R12? and how do I know if it works or not?

    Thank you

There is no installation of discoverer included with R12 (unlike the version included with 11i 4i). You will need to license and install separately, discoverer with R12

  • Oracle Discoverer of desupporting?, can I use the reports of 10g in R12

    Hi all
I've heard so many times that Oracle will stop in favour of Oracle Discoverer reports.
But at the same time, I can see the available literature on Support.oracle.com to configure the report of Discoverer for R12.
Report of discoverer and discoverer BI are two different products which integrates differently with Oracle.
Maybe my questions is very naïve, but want to have a correct answer.

Report generation of discoverer using Discoverer 10g working for 11i will work for R12 as well?

  • Discoverer 10 g and R12 error - name of user and password invalid

    Hi all

I have R12 and Discoverer Desktop 10.1.2.1 (user and admin) alone on the same Windows machine.

I can connect to the discoverer as the APPS user without problem, create workbooks and EUL and see the data.

However, I can not connect as a user of Apps. I copied the CBD to the Oracle Discoverer House (c:\\oracle\BIToolsHome_1) file.
I didn't update all files opmn.xml but as I don't know which ones to update (if any as it is the only desktop).

    Any help appreciated.

    Alex,

If patch Discoverer Administrator/Desktop does not help, then I suggest connect you an SR and confirm with support of Oracle that you can run these tools without having the patches contained in the following document applied.

So, we clone the discoverer of a new machine and connect to the upgraded instance. Please indicate how to proceed?

  • OBIEE for EBS R12.2.4

    Hi all

There the OBIEE for R12.2 EBS?

Is OBIEE apps dba or developers?

    Kind regars,

    JC

Scalability, performance and functionality of discoverer have serious limitations.

OBIEE is much better than discoverer in all directions.

    11.1.1.9 and 12.2.1.0.0 are certified with 12.2.4.

I recommend you to go to 12 c, you'll have better integration goes forward with 12,2 EBS.
