  No need to increase the timeline, D & D has a point of suspension. Actions tab see: default setting is 1.5secs. Submit that the read head can be released, that's why the default success action was defined on continue; You can change this action of course.

• Problem with Drag and Drop (Captivate 8)

  I have a drag and drop set-up of four headers that must be moved to the appropriate columns.  Objects and targets have all been defined properly.  I also have a "Submit" and "Reset" this button.  I've set up two shares advanced to be executed on the success and failure, respectively.  The approach of successful shows 4 points (a smart shape, 2 text boxes and a button 'Continue'), failure is supposed to show 4 points higher (a smart shape, 2 text boxes and a button "try" again).

  I use VMWare Workstation10.0.1 on a host Windows 8.1 and a guest on Windows Server 2008 R2. Drag / move does not seam to work between the guest and the host.   Copy / paste work, just not drag and drop.   Drag / drop "Not" work with a Windows 7 guest.

  I checked and tried the following:

  1. Drag and Drop is enabled under Guest insulation.
  2. I tried re - install the VMWare tools and am sure that they are running.
  3. I launched VMWare Workstation "as Administrator".
  4. I'm using a simple file created in Notepad.

  I just buy VMWare Worksation 33 days, so I'm 3 days on the support.

  Any ideas?

  I work at 8 Captivate and have already tried updating the INI file (not give me access to save or save on it). Addressed the issue of the 'space' as well. Have had no problem publish this file before. Made a change to the audio and now this error keeps popping up. I renamed the file and tried to publish. No luck.

  I suggest you try the suggested process of elimination to find out if there is a particular slide, causing the failure of the publication.  It could also be that you have chosen somehow inadvertently name an object or a slide in your project by using one of the 150 or reserved keywords that Adobe must use in the underlying code of Captivate.  So you have to go back the actions you performed before what is going on has begun and ask yourself if you have added an item or renamed something.  This could be the problem. (Include names of variables and advanced actions in this.)

  You will need to create the drag & drop drag yourself, using either the Assistant or the D & D Panel. To be able to do so, you need all the advantages: background, drag sources at least. For the target, you can add shapes. That's why I said you need to capture these assets, which can be made by adding only an additional screen captures during the registration process. In addition you will probably need a graphics editor (photoshop or similar) to create sources of drag on the screenshots. It is NOT possible to do it with simple low to capture work, this will be a blade to be inserted later.

  Drag and Drop Interaction works similar to another question slide if it is included in the Quiz. IE if you answer it correctly, or if your attempts are more then it wont allow to resume interaction drag / move with in the same scope of Quiz. But if you try several Quiz (Quiz preferences > Attemps), it allows to resume interaction in your next Quiz attempt.

  or if it is not included in the Quiz, it resets the interaction on each slide to enter.

  This slide drag & drop is set up as a question slide? The variable cpInReviewMode system is generally set to 1 for the quiz, when the user clicks on the review of the score slide.

  I suspect, didn't check that the Pause command is causing issues. This means that the read head stop on enter, maybe no time to show the hidden comments. I guess dd1's "feedback" that has been configured to be invisible in the output? You can try taking the Pause command? You can increase the duration of the slide or add a button with a break at the end of the slide. Of course, if you do not want to have a double Quiz time pauzé, this pause should be at the same time as the normal Submit button of D & D (1.5secs is the default value), and the next button can be made visible during the review with your conditional action.
