  My boss recently bought a desktop computer of Windows 8 for the work.  Unfortunately, our program of irrigation works on Windows XP and that they do not plan to update the systems more recent.  I have tried everything by running it on Virtual Box to run the program in compatibility mode, and I get errors more than anything else.  I thought the best way would be just to get a license of Windows XP and the dual-boot, to not voiding the warranty.

  Most recent PC running Windows 8 have EUFI the BIOS. To ensure fast works with BIOS EUFI inherited from start start is disabled by default. You can dualboot activating inherited from startup in the BIOS "but" the PC manufacturer dislikes do you that and if it's something as a manufacturer of my laptop, Samsung, you will be immediately void your warranty.

  First thing I would contact the PC manufacturer to see if the dual boot will actually void your warranty. If so then you and only you take the risk that the manufacturer will not just want to know. If the warranty is not affected then the manufacturer can tell you how to activate the legacy BIOS.

  Once the legacy Bios is enabled, you will need to create a new partition that will contain the Windows XP operating system. You also need to know if the manufacturer has drivers relevant to the XP operating system so that everything will work properly. If no driver is available, then you will have problems with the XP installation.

  Installation of Windows XP is no different to the installation of any version of Windows. Just remember that XP must be installed on the partition that you recently created. If you don't it will install on the C: drive and too write your Windows 8.

  The next major hurdle is to get the two to work. Because Windows 8 is already installed, you have a problem with the start menu. Plan technical XP must be installed first, then Windows 8 - obviously this sis something you can't do. Because XP is based on a file boot.ini and Windows 7/8 rest of the GPedit file, you will not be able to immediately run Windows 8. When you restart you will simply boot directly to Windows XP.   Of course, you can do a system dual boot with both operating systems. But before you change anything on the HARD drive partitions you create the Toshiba Recovery disk if you didn t it yet. With this record, you can restore the factory settings every time.

  There are no real problems with dual boot if it's Setup corrrectly.

  You need operating systems on separate partitions (readers not necessarily distinct, but definitely separate from the partitions).

  If you uninstall Vista later and it's a copy to the details of the program, then you can install it in a virtual drive using the same product key (but you'll probably need to activate manually).

  I had the upgrade of WIndows 8 and updated my current PC to WIndows 8 (it was under XP).  Now, I find a lot of my games too does not Windows 8 I go account that my XP license is now gone because it has been used for windows 8 upgrade, but I have a second license XP on another older PC that I withdrew.  Can I install a second copy of XP on another partition of my computer upgrade Windows 8?  As we will install second OS that would generate the dual boot XP splash screen.  I would try this myself, but I don't want to try to install XP and find that I lose access to my Windows 8 install because he doesn't know what to do with Windows 8.  Any help would be appreciated.

  , and then change the value of start on '0 '.

  (4) now that you're allmost done, restart your laptop computer and go to Bios and set between AHCI and IDE! Save the settings in the Bios and restart

  (5) Windows will be loading and VOILA! NO BSOD! , windows Vista / seven will install new Ide drivers and that you will see in the windows Device Manager you have more AHCI drivers, you have the Ide drivers!

  EasyBCD to add Windows 7 in the start menu. Note: after you have installed Windows 7, you should have a folder located in the Windows XP partition named C:\Boot (BCD store) that's what Windows 7 and XP boot build to start with. Easy BCD will list each operating system in the BCD store and also allow you to add an additional OS (in your case, Windows 7) and set the default OS after a 30 second delay.

  You cannot install two different operating systems on two different disks. For a dual-boot environment, you must install both XP and Vista on the same drive with different partitions.

  In addition, you must install Windows XP first and then Windows Vista.
