DX10 driver for Inspiron 1525

I have Inspiron 1525 graphic 965GM. Intel has published DX10 driver for this card (version 15.9) in May. But no update driver is even now available for users of Dell. Dell could please release the latest driver or allow to download and install the latest driver on the site to intel. Is it possible that we could install the intel driver there Web site successfully? I tried, but failed with the message that this driver is not allowed for Inspiron 1525.

Is there a downside to the use of sata III? It is slower than sata II drives?

There are zero and no., lll SATA will work at speed he's SATA.

SATA I, is the first generation clocked at 1.5 Gbps SATA.

SATA II interface, is a second generation running at 3.0 GB/s SATA.

SATA III interface, a third generation of interface SATA 6.0 GB/s turns. The bandwidth rate, which is supported by the interface is up to 600 MB/s.

SATA II specifications provide backward compatibility of function on SATA channels.

SATA III Specifications provide backward compatibility to run on SATA I and SATA II ports.

However, the maximum speed of the disk will be slower because of lower speed limits of the port.

Hi, I and Inspiron E1505 and I was wondering how much it would cost to upgrade to an Inspiron 1525 comparable.  The 1525 is replacement of the E1505 is not it?  My E1505 has Vista with a CPU T7200, 2GB of RAM, 120GB HD, built in WiFi G Intel, Mobility Radeon X 1400, upgraded Sound Blaster Audigy.

I can't remember the price of precisley, but it was about $1,200.  As I said, I want to upgrade to an Inspiron 1525 comparable.  What kind of trade option does Dell give for something like that?  Thanks in advance!

  • Add SimpleDrive external hard drive for Inspiron 9400

I use a drive external 250G hard SimpleTech SimpleDrive. I had plugged in a Dimension desktop computer and it works fine. I am abandoning the office and try to connect the external hard drive to my laptop Inspiron 9400. When I connect the drive via a usb cable, the disc sounds as if it's hunting and is never recognized by the laptop.  The external hard drive has its power supply on so I won't try to power it through the usb port. Any suggestions?

  • Adding 2nd hard drive for Inspiron 530

I have a Dell Inspiron 530 which has a Samsung 320 hard drive.  I would like to add a second hard drive to put photos, etc.  Green a Western Digital 2 TB 3.5 "SATA looks like a possibility.  However, images, like most of the internal drives I saw pictures, he has one open side showing the drive mechanism.  The Samsung already in the PC is covered.  The additional disc will not become covered with dust (my PC had a lot of cobwebs in it when I opened it to the top!)?  Any advice on which drive to choose and how to install it would also be appreciated.

    dellby

All computers must be inside the frame, cleaned all the dust on a regular basis.

I have two HD SATA and SSD installed in my Inspiron 530 mini tour and have never had a problem of "dust."

Keep the air intakes located on the façade behind the clean HD of any accumulation of dust, helps to cool the hard drives.

Instructions for the installation of a second hard drive physically in a 530 are here:

    FTP://FTP.Dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_desktop/esuprt_inspiron_desktop/Inspiron-530_owner%27s%20manual_en-us.PDF

Will need you a SATA data cable, there should be a spare power connector SATA inside the case and four 6-32 X 1/4, Phillips head screws to mount the drive.

Connect the SATA data cable to the SATA connector on the motherboard.

After you have installed the drive, enter the system setup and make sure the hard drive is "on" [We] and recognized.

For windows to recognize the second hard drive, it must be partitioned and formatted.

Go to control panel, administrative tools, computer management, storage, disk management, right click on the new drive, select format, then you can assign a drive letter.

Hard drives Western Digital and Seagate are good, my preference is for Western Digital.

Also check the length of the manufacturer's warranty, plus the best guarantee.

  • Webcam driver for Inspiron 1521

    Hello

I have an Inspiron 1521 on which I have installed XP Pro. There's a webcam which seems to work fine. I just installed the Web Cam Manager software and it is demanding a driver of the webcam, before it will let me play. I looked in the CD that came with the laptop but I can not find them. Is there somewhere on the Dell site where they can be downloaded? Apart from this little glitch, the laptop is great.

Thanks for any help you can give.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M DOING WRONG, I TRIED SAFE MODE AND I GET THE SAME THING, I TRIED DOING DIAGNOSTICS AS WELL, ALL RIGHT.  PLEASE HELP SOMEONE. NONE OF MY LIGHTS LED FOR POWER SUPPLY, BATTERY, HARD DRIVE, WIFI OR BLUETOOTH ON ALSO WHEN I TURN ON MY LAPTOP, AS THEY NORMALLY DO. SOMEONE KNOWS HOW TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM!

Do not safe mode with network. It will try to load too many drivers.

Try mode safe mode with command prompt since it will charge just a necessary drivers. If it does, you can try the above commands.

Only other option would be to try to start with a Linux LIVE CD/USB. (IE Ubuntu, Mint, or puppy or another other Dist you prefer).

  • Spare drive for Inspiron 580 unit

Support assist just told me that my hard drive is in danger of imminent failure. I would like to replace just the drive rather than the whole machine, but WD do not have this particular model - WD1001FAES-75W7AO any longer. Can someone tell me what would be a suitable substitute? The current drive is 1 TB, but I really don't need anything that big. 500 GB would be more than enough.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Thank you

Thanks to Mighty_Miro_WD and shesageordie for help and advice.

Thought to go to a blue 500 GB but he bottled the end and bought a 1 TB black (i.e. replacement of the law). Sitting next to me now formatted. Later tonight will have a go at my old drive to the new cloning. Should be interesting!

    Thanks again, guys.
