Error: 107 - Setup additional computers

After a few reboots on the 1st computer after receiving 107 error, I was able to configure the Media Hub, after he found in the installation wizard.

I am getting error 107 again now on all computers that I want to connect the Media Hub, using the button 'Connect Compuers' in the main menu of the installation CD & restart does not help. I also tried using the Safe Mode with Networking option, still a no-go. I can get to the MediaHub using the IEbrowser without problem, and I don't see that it listed in my group to work very well.

Question is, why I have to use the CD on all computers that will use it? It's just for NTI Shadow & importing media? Why do I need the CD if I can't get the CD Setup to run on multiple computers?

I was finally able to install CD, using the computers 'connect', without getting the error 107.

Apparently, the Media Hub, set with a static IP address, what installation do not like - why? I do not know.

After that I made sure that she got an IP using DHCP address, via the IEBrowser configuration on the 1st computer, I was able to proceed with the installation.

A second thing that can had embarrassed, I have 2 NICs installed in the office. The internal NETWORK card (on the motherboard) and the PCI Gigabit NIC card.

Internally we have automatically obtain an IP address from the router Vonage, I have installed on the network. Since the Vonage is behind the router, and not in front of it, I always wanted to be able to get to the GUI. The only way I was able to do was to connect the map (yellow) port (out) internal NETWORK is on its own network strictly to Vonage. The PCI card, however, I have a static IP address for that one. Thinking that maybe the installation was looking at the wrong card NIC, I disabled the internal NETWORK card and was able to use the facility of 'Connect computers' without problem.

Maybe some of this info will be useful for others if they have a similar configuration.

  • Unknown Publisher box opens, I click run, it starts and then stops, saying "error reading setup initialization file".

Windows doesn't let me download an application from my library to the city.  It is an application used to download their books. I have Vista Home Premium on my HP Pavilion.

I start the download, the process begins, and then a small dialog box opens saying "Unknown Publisher" and the choice of 'run' or 'Cancel '.  I chose 'run', it seems it will continue then a little screen pops up saying "error reading setup initialization file."  I "ve never had no problem download at this point.

I've got "pop-up blocker" turned off.
    I disabled the "Inprivate filtering",

Thanks for posting on the Forum of answers.

If you can provide a link to the application, we can try to recreate the issue.
Otherwise, it is perhaps a question that you should take with the Publisher of the software.

However, you can try to use the Windows Installer CleanUp utility:

When you are working on your computer and install a new program, the installation suddenly fails. Now, you're left with a partly installed program. You try to install the program again, but you're unsuccessful. Or, maybe you have problems trying to remove an old program because the installation files are damaged.

Do not worry. Windows Installer CleanUp Utility may be able to help. You can use the utility to remove installation information for programs that were installed by using Windows Installer. Remember that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility does not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall on.

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility

We have updated Windows Installer CleanUp Utility. This version of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility works correctly in all versions, 32-bit and 64-bit Microsoft Windows. If you have an earlier version installed on your computer, we recommend that you download and install this latest version.

You must be logged on to Windows with a user account is an administrator on the computer to run Windows Installer CleanUp Utility. For more information about how to install and run Windows Installer CleanUp Utility, see the section "more information".

You can download Windows Install CleanUp Utility starting from Microsoft Download Center:

    Okie dokie.

Well I dug on the web and found someone with the same problem, and they said that when they have disabled "McAfee VirusScan 8.5 Access Protection", this error has disappeared. If this applies to you, give it a whirl if you wish.

But the best support that I found came from this website: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/838687. The jist of it is (trying to fix it yourself):
Fix it myself to fix this problem yourself, follow these steps:

    1. Log the computer by using an administrator user account.
    2. Start Microsoft Windows Explorer.
    3. On the Tools menu, click Folder Options.
    4. Click the view tab.
    5. Under hidden files and folders, click Show hidden folders and files.
    6. Clear the Hide extensions for known file types check box, and then click OK.
    7. Open the following folder: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Office\Data\
    8. If you are running Office 2003, right-click Opa11.dat, and then click Properties. If you are running Office XP, right-click Data.dat, and then click Properties.
    9. Click the Security tab.
    10. Click Advanced.
    11. Click the permissions tab.
    12. Click to select everyone in the list entered permissions and then click change.
    13. Click to select the full control check box.
    14. Click OK three times. If these steps do not resolve this issue, delete the Opa11.dat file or the Data.dat file in the following folder and then restart an Office 2003 program or an Office XP program:
      C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Office\Data

      If this does not work for you, I would take my installation CD< completely="" uninstall="" microsoft="" excel="" (or="" any="" other="" problems="" that="" are="" giving="" you="" this="" error),="" then="" install="" microsoft's="" windows="" installer="" cleanup="" utility="" (which="" completely="" removes="" all="" stuff="" pertaining="" to="" whichever="" program="" you="" delete,="" for="" you,="" excel)="" and="" then="" reinstall="" microsoft="" excel.="" this="" utility="" program="" is="" really="" powerful,="" and="" you="" can="" download="" your="" copy="" from="">http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301.

Original title: initialization error 112 Setup

1995 installed Kodak DC200/DC210 Zoom camera software.

I may not be a problem, but I don't know how I would like to know whether the error 112 was relative to the previous announcement requirement of a restart or another unrelated with error 112.

  • Acrobat Pro DC: additional computers

I currently have Acrobat Pro DC.  I would like to add additional computers.  Is this possible?  If so, what is the cost?  If this isn't the case, then should I just do an additional account?

Adobe offers volume licensing, where an administrator sorts the license for several people and computers. In the opposite case

a subscription can be used BY a SINGLE PERSON on two computers, not in the same time, Mac or Windows, or a mixture

    (b) a permanent license can be used in the same way, on two computers, but they must be both Mac or Windows chosen at time of purchase

    (c) you cannot add additional licenses for the same Adobe ID. Just does not work, no idea why Adobe made this way. So you need a new Adobe ID for computers in one or two additional, even if you are the only person using each of them.
