• Bug: Missing TAB in standalone application

  So far I was at a loss to refine this bug to a small example VI if it is here in general terms, in the hope that someone will have a solution to this.

  I have an application with a large number of subVIs that I develop on a machine Windows XP (LV 2012 latest patch). The main VI has control tab with 10 tabs in it (more a hidden one). I have no trouble to release it as a source distribution on a Win7 64-bit (LV 2012 64 bit running) computer. Things work very well.

  When I try to release it as a standalone application, the tab control disappears on the same exact machine where it works very well as a distributed source! Obviously it now installs as a 32-bit application, since I developed it on a Windows XP machine.

  If I release the same code on another WinXP machine (in fact a MBP under WinXP laptop to in Parallels Desktop), I have no trouble either...

  Where my tabs is on the Win7 machine?

  I tried and check if a simple application of the VI with a tab on the PF would show the same problem, but that seems not to be the case... Nasty bug!

  
  

• Standalone Application Builder CSCuv72535

  There was an open bug CSCuv72535 , followed by the SAB missing in the latest versions of CVP utility. According to me, it has been marked solved from 11.0.1, but again, I do not see the usefulness SAB 11.5 after that windows install.

  No one knows more about the resolution of CSCuv72535?  We want without 10.0 11.5 here but are fully integrated in a pipeline ICDT jenkins...  SAB is a requirement.

  We interviewed the requisitions in the page search and value which is populated. When we selected one of the requisition option button and hit copy to cart. his mistake launching says
  "Attribute set to select view object allreqsvo failed."

  Check if the Select attribute in the VO is editable. Is there a custom code in the getSelect(), setSelect() methods?

• Cannot create standalone application

  I searched all day on how to build a stand-alone application, but I can't follow the steps. I'll explain:

  I'm a student of LabVIEW 2014 version. I checked and I have the Application Builder active licese

  

  But when I go to my project and do right click on 'Building specifications'-> 'New', I don't have the 'Application', just the 'Distribution Source' option. Everywhere I see says I have to do, but I'm not.

  a screenshot of the error message would be useful. However, I agree with Chris: as in your VI using DAQ Assistant, probably the error is caused by the absence of driver DAQmx on the target computer. Then, install DAQmx on this machine, or create an installer for your application by also adding DAQmx as additional setup.

• ThinApp application search "Program Files."

  First, I must say that this is my first time with ThinApp. Use package with Citrix or M$!

  I thinapped an application on a Windows XP SP2 virtual machine to own address. When I install applications on Windows 7, applications is looking for a dll in "C:\Program Files\AppsFolder\xxx.dll" and does not start.

  I have looke everywhere I can't find this dll.

  If I take the specific dll that apps looking in the right place, it works... (normal!)

  So here are my questions:

  1. Where will the folder and files after installing a thinapped application?
     
  2. How can I tell the application to search this dll?
     
  3. What Miss me?

  You copy the dll to C:\Program Files\AppsFolder to make it work? If this is the case, copy the dll to the appropriate folder in the ThinApp project folder and rebuild the ThinApp running the build.bat file in the folder of the ThinApp project.

  By default, install a ThinApp using MSI will go to the C:\Program Files\AppName(VMware ThinApp) folder. Note that only the ThinApp executable (EXE) will be installed in this folder and copy all the files (dll) inside will not work. The best way to manage is to add/edit the changes required in the project folder ThinApp and rebuilding it will give you an updated EXE ThinApp.

  Can someone tell me what is the best third-party application to use Flash to create stand-alone applications.

  So far, I looked at the Zinc and SWFStudio. I realize that it is AIR too but I think that this application will only extend Flash to a degree.

  What I need is to get as much control of the MAC/PC/Mobile device as possible. Also, I need to be able to communicate with other applications exe/app on the local computer or through networks.

  I think it would be better to list what I need to do:

  1. listen to actions in other applications exe/app on the same system / network

  2. "sniff" directory and then list the contents

  3. check the other exe/app on the same system / network

  4 backup/update XML files on the same system / network

  5 register and retireve of data from a database on the same system / network

  6. read video files FLV, MPEG and many other possible formats

  7 be able to build for MAC/PC/Tablet? Mobile devices

  I think it's a good list to start with.

  Any help would be much appreciated here.

  Adobe AIR has native extensions (ANE) just for that. For any feature the AIR framework has no you can write plugins that extend the capabilities of AIR. Here is a list of extensions for example, some are windows (Mobile only):

  Incidentally I've used mProjector and Zinc and in between, they also support their own plugins for extended functionality.

  Although I greatly prefer Zinc. I used it in several projects and the library of extended features, it comes with is pretty extensive, documentation and help. They update a little more.

  IM unaware of all the iPad apps that automatically insert the passwords... 1Password even it is very well on a Mac will insert not a password in a browiser unless you start with 1 P and nothing for apps like Amazon or banking. y at - it all?

  # IOS applications are 'sandbox' which means, for safety, they are isolated from the other. What you ask for is not possible at this time.

  Finally, I would add my ocx and dll in my project (add the file). When I configure the executable file in the Source file, I have always understood the ocx and dll.

  For the proprieties of the installer, in settings of Source code file, I select my ocx and dll and in file and folder attributes I check "register COM.

  I don't know if that the right way to do it but it works.

  I did a stand-alone application in labview GUI for data acquisition and processing of the signal. If I have to run this application in any other computer which should be all installed software other than the labview runtime engine... CD DEVICE DRIVERS OR alone must be installed or do I have to install any other software of data acquisition using the data acquisition card OR?

  You need only the racing of the engine, the device for the device drivers, maybe need pilots VISA if you make serial or something of this nature, you may need the channels or tasks created in the measures OR and automation if you created the it.

  There may be other things you'll need depending on what you include in your code and what tool kits that you have installed.

  I have a simulation environment in a computer where I got installed Labview 2014. Here, I built my program, and it works well.

  I created an application (EXE) and then tried in another computer that is isolated from all the networks, but it is the computer that manages the two devices directly.

  The program works very well, with the exception of a few minor errors. I want to debug the program on this computer, but I can't do it remotely, and it has no installed labview or.

  Do you know if there are any tools or ways to see my block diagram of the application or to see some of its settings while running?

  A method proven (and very old!) who will work with an executable is to build in logging functions.  I got a program in real time which seemed to lose of ticks.  He was already streaming status information for the PC, but something to 'lose '.  I added code to write to a local log file some 'Debug' information, including the State of some of my digital and found lines where my 'assumptions' on my code were false (i.e. my stupid mistake).

  Depending on your situation, which can involve a lot of text to read, but that's why we have with matching text editors...
