  Whatever it is, you can try to install in Compatibility Mode for an earlier version of windows...

  You could also try right click on the Installer (installation-installation-whatever) for the device file problem and select troubleshoot compatibility. Just follow the instructions in the wizard.

  On Windows 2000 Professional SP4 o/s with IE 6, I am trying to locate any firewall, which can be on my system.  So far, I found none. (I ran the Java which tests and is ok) The support for the suggested site care service that I am behind a firewall.  How can I know for sure if this is what is happening with my pc?  Is it possible that there is an internet firewall also?  Can I play other games on this site with little or no problem, which suggests that it is a problem on their end? Also, I have run a performance scan, active disk defragmentation, no file corrupted, run Registry clean, run Disk Cleanup of the files of the irrational, ran chkdsk/f during reboot and no problem found, deleted IE temporary file browser and erasing temporary files Java.  In addition, my o/s and IE browser is supported by their system.  So now what?  I am open to suggestions and any help is appreciated.  Thank you.

  I have about 14 000 songs in my iTunes library, but really there are only about a quarter as much because there are so many duplicates. I don't know how they got there in the first place, and try to remove them is infuriating! I have already spent several hours going by checking all the files I want to remove (thinking that I would delete then all files at once) - only to find out that I still have to delete them one at a time. There must be a better way! Help, please.

  If you don't know that you want to delete all checked the songs in your library:

  • Create a new smart playlist with the following rules:
    
    This will show then checked all the songs in your library.
  • Select all the items in this playlist (Ctrl-A)
  • Hold the SHIFT key and press DELETE - follow the prompts to remove songs from your library and (if necessary) your PC media files

  In case of problem, you must back up your library before you do just in case the results are not what you expect - see tips to the user of turingtest2 on your iTunes for Windows with SyncToy to backup library for a suitable and recommended method.

  As I said access from all computers on this network was working fine a week ago and there has been absolutely no changes made to the network. I checked the following

  1. workgroup name on all computers are the same
  2. file and printer sharing are enabled for all computers.
  3. all computers may been from each computers just denied in some cases.

  The firewall that runs on all three machines is AVG and there were no changes to the one last week, but I checked that sharing is allowed.

  I even tried to run the Configuration Wizard from the network on all computers to see if it works, but the same exact problems occur after doing this.

  I met this problem now THREE times. I can't believe that I'm the only one who has this problem and I can't believe that there isn't a solution for it. None of the Microsoft documentation has even a hint of a solution for this specific problem.

  I need a solution that closes completely the network at my church, and they cannot afford to buy printers and others for each of their computers.
