  • How to migrate from Fireworks CS3 to a new computer laptop when the key to the series is lost?

I'm migrating from Fireworks CS3 to a new computer laptop. I lost the serial key number so I can't install it again. Instead, I copied the program and export/import the relevant part of the registry. And also copied FLEXnet. However, the program comes the spirit the message "licensing for this product has stopped working". I used the ADOBE recovery tool, but nothing helped. Thanks for any ideas or help them.

Products Adobe may not be transferred, they must be installed using installation files.  If you have an existing installation, then you might be able to get the serial number of this one.

    Hi BillyBob,

  • Fireworks cs3 because the computer crash lost

I have the serial number for Fireworks cs3.  I lost my software, when my computer crashed.  Is there a way to download this software on a new computer without having to pay for it?

    Thanks, Mike

If you follow the 7 steps you can directly download a free trial here: http://prodesigntools.com/download-adobe-cs4-and-cs3-free-trials-here.html

and activate it with your serial number.

If you have a problem downloading, you follow the 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.

the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow the steps 1, 2, and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system, allowing you to download the correct version of the adobe.com site).

Unable to obtain the cookie translates into an error page displayed after clicking on a link on prodesigntools.com

  • Fireworks CS3 and Win 7

I just upgraded to Win7 and everything in Fireworks CS3 seems to work except the Brush tool. When you try to paint the cursor is irratic, movements, slowdown through the image and I can't control the speed of the Brush tool. Does anyone else have this problem and if so do you have a work around?

It was a problem in Vista and the solution to disable the Aero theme for Fireworks. (CS3 Bitmap and Aero tools are not happy together).

Not sure if Win7 has the same settings, but it should. Try this: go to the Fireworks folder, right-click on Fireworks.exe, then select Properties. If there is a Compatibility tab, start by putting "Disable the composition of the bureau." (Mine was also set to run in XP compatibility mode, but maybe I did that first, it wasn't the ticket, and I added the box 'Disable desktop composition').

When you start or close Fireworks, your screen may blink black as Aero is turned on, but otherwise, everything should work fine.

  • Windows 7 and Fireworks CS3

Everyone here is able to run Fireworks CS3 perfectly on Windows 7? He has a very strange behavior. I was able to make it run for the first time after I waited for more than an hour to start. Then I activated and was able to work with it without a problem. After reboot, it takes again forever to start. It seems to me that there is no problem with Fireworks, but with little code that checks if the copy is legal and is responsible for the delay. I've used FW very occasionally only to create web graphics, I bought FW8 and then I bought the upgrade to be able to run it on windows vista. I really want to buy the upgrade again to use it on windows 7 just once a month. Any help appreciated.

    Update
Now it has stopped working and I got this message

License for this product has stopped working.
You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling this product or contact your COMPUTER administrator or Adobe customer support for assistance.

On Windows 7? It's a beta product. If you want to use Windows 7 you can anticipate problems as the beta is intended to find the problems. CS3 works fine on Vista. If you need to work productively, use a marketed product, not a beta.

That said, I had the same error on Vista a couple of weeks. Something hung up in Fireworks and not only would be Fireworks does not start, none of my other apps in CS3 (Vista) would begin. I had the same error message in each. It's something in the product license using Adobe. I searched Google for the text of the error message and found an article that finally got things to work. http://KB.Adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=kb401528

I had to run the utility all three times, and then continue through the remaining steps away from shirts before my apps started working again. It was frustrating to stop working like that, and I kept being disappointed to have to move to the next "if it does not, for that." But at least they are still working!

  • Fireworks CS3 & amp; Illustrator CS3

I don't know if it is more a problem of Illustrator or a problem of fires of artifice, but since I can post here, but can not connect to the Illustrator forum, I'll start here.

I have artwork created in Illustrator. Black and white images and I want the white to be transparent, or rather see - through, because I don't mean transparency in opacity. What I want, it's for the background to show through the 'white' parts of the black and white illustrations. For example, if you have a black circle with a white triangle in the middle and put it on a green background, the black circle will be black and the 'white' triangle will be green. If all goes well, that says what I'm trying to do.

Thus, in Illustrator CS3, I take this picture and use 'exclude' and 'develop' to apply to the illustration. Seems to work very well here. If I create a square of solid color and move behind the illustration, 'white' areas see the color of the square instead of white.

Now, when I open this image in Fireworks CS3, I get a solid black image. No path where the "white" areas should be. Just a solid black area.

Now, if I take this original creation, open it in Illustrator 5.5 (!), use "exclude", save and then open this file changed in 1.0 (!) Fireworks, it works fine. I can also open this Illustrator 5.5 file in Fireworks CS3 and it works fine.

Remember, the illustrations are more complex than a white triangle in a black circle. But, if Illustrator 5.5 and Fireworks 1.0 can manage them, the CS3 versions should be able to handle them as well.

Because I expect that the CS3 versions should be able to do the same things that can do the much older versions, I can only assume (and hope!) that I have to do something wrong. I would not have to save all my files in Illustrator CS3 to Illustrator 3 files (because it is impossible to record 5 Illustrator CS3), open them in Illustrator 5.5 and "exclude", then save it back and then finally open them in Fireworks CS3, all that involves the use of two Macs, given that the Intel Macs do not work classic. Looks like I should be able to move directly from Illustrator CS3 to Fireworks CS3.

So, what I am doing wrong?

Found! Compound path rather than exclude it.

  • Fireworks CS3 - internal error when save as JPEG and batch mode

    Dear,

I am currently in difficulty for these 7 days due to this error. I hope someone can help me.

After the upgrade from CS3 Fireworks 8, I'll have the 'internal error' message both if you selected the preview for a JPEG export format (it works OK when the export format is GIF or PNG) and when I work with batch processing.

Everything is OK, if I run fireworks as user 'root' or as a user "adminplus" ("adminplus" is the username of an additional user with administrative privileges that I created for the test).

My operating system Mac OS x 10.5.4 and my computer is a MacBook2, 1 (MacBook with Intel Core 2 Duo 2 GHz with 2 GB of RAM and a brand new 186,31 GB Hitachi journaled HFS + HD with 100 GB free).

I tried many ways to get the valuable differences in library files and privileges (to search many forums, it seems that may be the cause, was also confirmed by the fact that other users works very well) but I don't have any particular differences.

I tried to trash the preferences but the error is still present.

I tried with the temporary main file on Mac OS x with terminal command "stat - x $TMPDIR" checked against the command "id". User and privileges were OK but always the "internal error" was there.

I tried with a simple reinstall for Fireworks CS3 and with a complete reinstallation of more complete CS3 web standard and, in addition, uninstalling and reinstalling everything.

I also tried with 8 Fireworks that was not removed by the upgrade, and it has the same problems.

Can I receive a competent suggestion on how to diagnosis and fix the problem?

    Thank you very much

    Carmine

    Ok. I solved it!

Who will have the same problem can ask how I solved. It is not complicated, but it's a long story. I have succeed without a reinstallation of an operating system such as suggested by ADOBE support, in which case none of the suggestions are everywhere, will not work.

I'll be happy to explain what to do for those who need it.

    Best wishes,

    Carmine

  • Relocation of Fireworks cs3 so I can reinstall fireworks cs6

I just have my deleted computer and windows 7 restored.  And I want to reinstall Fireworks cs6, but because I update over the years I can't do just what I reinstall cs3.  I downloaded the software, got the serial number but it won't install on my windows 7.  Can anyone suggest a solution?

You don't need to install CS3.  Just install and activate CS6.  During the activation process, it will recognize that you do not have a qualifying version installed and you will be asked to identify an eligible version.  In your case you select CS3 and then provide its serial number.

  • Fireworks CS3 and Vista

I just bought a new desktop computer (Vista Home Premium, Pentium Dual Core @1.6, 2024 ram, 320 HARD drive @ 7200) and installed CS3 Web Premium (which worked well on my laptop XP Pro slower). Fireworks will simply not work. I read some posts related to this issue and was not sure where to start trying to solve this problem. I bought the student edition and do not think I get free * support. Any help would be appreciated.

Fireworks is the only application that I have problems with.

I don't want to have to buy a new version that I don't really need. Someone at - it ideas or advice.

    Thanks in advance,

Stop copying from one computer to the other installation files.  The problems that you are experiencing currently is mainly caused by the use of the Migration Wizard you displayed in the #3 message.

I recommend that you try the following steps:

    1. Run the uninstall programs that can be viewed in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers.
    2. Run the CS cleaner tool to check the required files have been deleted - for installation problems CS cleanup tool | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html.
    3. Relocation of the installation files copied to a USB stick using a computer that has an optical drive.

If you continue to experience difficulties, then the faster would be to format, run the Migration Wizard only to documents and settings and then reinstall it from the USB.  I've seen users spending hours and days trying to recover from the use of the Migration Assistant or some type of solution to transfer from one computer to the other.  Our function of claim better if they are installed correctly the installer.
