  • In the version of Flash Builder Plugin, why he was installing an another 'Eclipse replacement?

In the installer of Flash Builder 4 plugin, I just ran, why he was installing whats seems to be another copy of Eclipse in my "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4 plugin" folder with a shortcut called "run Adobe Flash Builder 4 plug-in Eclipse replacement"?

I was expecting only a plug-in in my current installation of Eclipse. What happens here?

    Hi Pup500,

FB4 plugin comes with the full Eclipse 3.4.2 (Ganymede) package for Java developers and also supports linking FB4 to your own copy of eclipse 3.5 (Galileo) or 3.6 (Helios).

We considered group one of the biggest packages (Eclipse for PHP developers, etc.), but wanted to keep the smaller footprint, and the package for Java developers was the smallest that always includes the JDK.

The shortcut for the "substitute" should point to your own copy of the eclipse, and the default Launcher shortcut should point to the copy grouped under the subfolder \eclipse-host-distro. The default shortcut will launch eclipse/FB4 using our copy of the JRE, but the shortcut replacing assumes that you have either a compatible JRE installed - the system-wide, or that you are a valid JRE in your eclipse folder.

Some of the reasons why we started the eclipse with plug-ins FB4 grouping were:

-the custom configuration (settings file ini, allocation of memory, etc.) provided in the bundled copy of eclipse can be used as a guide for your own eclipse configuration optimization to improve performance with FB4.

-on the victory, group us tested compatibility version of JRE for use with the bundled copy of the eclipse. This can be useful on Windows 64-bit, we provide a 32-bit version of JRE compatible with FB4. You can copy this same JRE folder in your own copy of the 32-bit eclipse, if you do not install a version of the JRE 32-bit systems.

-If you encounter conflicts version or the boot with your own copy of eclipse, you can still run the copy group as a relief, until all issues are resolved.

Out of curiosity, what version and package of eclipse are connect you?

  • "Source be found" with the plugin for Flash Builder 4

    Hello

I installed the trial version of Flash Builder 4 plugin in my Eclipse and when I try to open the source code for a Flex class I get the following error (in this case the event class-specific):

    Source cannot be found for flash.events.Event in C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4 Plug-in\sdks\4.0.0\frameworks\libs\player\10.0\playerglobal.swc.

The playerglobal.swc file contains only a SWF file and an XML file.

Do you know how I can view the classes within Eclipse?

A tip: the error message that I got from Eclipse could not be copied. I had to type it by myself, where I can send an enhancement request?

    Thank you

    Nikolai

Inside the playerglobal.swc and airglobal.swc Flash Player API classes and they are not open source.

  • Flash Builder 4 - some basic Questions

-Very well, I'm a total essential with flash, so I apologize for the nubbish garbage, I will say...

.. .and like any node of forum, I apologize if this is in the wrong forum.

That out of the way, I have a few questions.

First of all, I would like to get the software to create flash games, flash animations and web design in general. I guess that Flash Builder 4 is the right software for it? If this isn't the case, please let me know what is.

I'm quite familiar with the Eclipse IDE for Java. I read somewhere that the environment of the building was "based on Eclipse,' which for some reason any actually surprised me a lot. This environment of standard construction with FB4 or is it part of something else?

Assuming that it is the correct software, and this is the right section to ask, where would be a good place to start to learn flash? I have a computer science background, so I know the basics of most of the stuffs programming. The program built in tutorials? They are all good? I'll probably use w3schools for more help as well. Where can else I learn some tips?

Also, I noticed there are a few discounts for students. I attend college full time, so is that enough to be eligible for discounts of such?

    Hello

You can create animations and games with Flash Builder, but honestly, I think you'll find more easily and more quickly using Flash or Flash Professional because it gives you easier control of this type of installation (Visual rather than code).

Flash Builder (Eclipse) is really the best way and the most common is to develop Flex applications, you can use the standalone or plugin Eclipse and dive into it with full functionality in both. Is there another IDE, but personally, Flash Builder is still my favorite and actually convinced me to use Eclipse more for other projects and languages.

Adobe has great resources for getting started, there are also some fantastic courses on lynda.com, which is where I always go to form upward on a product or a new topic (I'm not affiliated, just a fan), including on a Flash animation which may interest you with ActionScript 3 animation, there are some courses. Most of these forums have some great people ready to answer and help with questions, also Adobe Press books are great to touch the ground with. Shameless plug I've also conditioned videos on my site www.uibuzz.com.

I'm going back to my first paragraph if, I think Flash is likely to agree with you're needs more Flash Builder, but the great thing is whatever allows you to become familiar with the ActionScript 3, all this applies, my background starts with Flash, and then moved to Flash Builder with little or no re-learning other than the Flex framework.

    Hope this helps,

    Kind regards

  • Flash builder as a plug-in in eclipse burrito

is there such a release planned for the beta period?

Yes - aware Burrito preview also works as an eclipse plugin with your own copy of Helios.

Unlike previous versions of FB, where separate downloads for autonomous in relation to the uses of plugin Burrito, a consolidated Installer includes who always has a copy grouped the Eclipse IDE for Java developers. By default, Burrito runs on top of this copy Group of Helios.

After installing the Burrito, you will find a Utilities folder alongside the Flash Builder application which includes a plugin utility, you can use to associate your own copy of eclipse 3.6 the Burrito. Burrito currently, requires Helios 32 - bit and 32-bit cocoa Helios on OS X.

  • Adobe Flash Builder 4.7 plugin utility does not install on Eclipse

I try to install Flash Builder 4.7 Plugin in Eclipse. I downloaded Flash Builder Premium via Adobe Creative Cloud. I also installed Eclipse Indigo. I'm running this on Mac OSX.

According to a tutorial, I found that I need to go to the Utilities folder in the Flash Builder, install and run the Adobe Flash Builder 4.7 plugin Utility. It seems to work very well. Afterwards, you should be able to see "Flash Builder" in the Help menu of Eclipse. However it is not. You should also be able to Flash Builder preferences under window-> Preferences. Flash Builder is also not visible here.

According to the tutorial there are also this file ' fb-4_7-plugin - encoded.link ", created in the eclipse's" dropins"folder. This file is created. However, it is empty.

I looked in the Setup log and it there was only a single message about.

    Move File: Destination: /Applications/eclipse/dropins/fb-4_7-plugin-encoded.link

    Status: WARNING

Additional Notes: WARNING - There was a problem moving /Applications/eclipse/dropins/fb-4_7-plugin-encoded.link

I'm not sure what it means that the documentation seems to be quite rare. However, it seems to be the only problem in the whole installation process. Any ideas or suggestions on what could be causing this error would be great.

    Hey,.

I actually solve this problem.  I forgot to come back and respond.  Hope this helps to Stefano.

I went in dropins/fb-4_7-plugin - encoded.link and edited to say the following:

    path=C:/Program Files (x86)/Adobe/Adobe Flash Builder 4.7

  • How to install the plugin of Flash Builder for Eclipse 4 (Juno) 4.6

I just download Juno (Eclipse 4.2 32 bit) and wanted to install my plugin FB 4.6, but the installer says "Adobe Flash Builder requires Eclipse 3.6 or later" - which is superimposed, like Juno is the last and version 4.

Looks like a bug with the installer doesn't recognize any version of Eclipse above 3.X.

How can I work around this?

    Thank you

    B

Install on Eclipse 3.7 and then copy the dropins on 4.2 installation folder.

The first eclipse start was slow and I got the first point of view switch Flash NullPtr. But on the next departure, everything was ok.

I can debug, GUI building, create new Flash projects... Maybe some things will not work... But I don't think that I'll need them.

  • Flash Builder Burrito will identify the plugin Playbook

I installed the BlackBerry Tablet OS SDK for Adobe AIR by following the instructions included in the

Getting Started Guide for Windows developers.

Everything appears to install fine and when I go to help > about Flash Builder > installation details it shows that the Function of Blackberry Tablet OS is installed.

When I go to create the Hello World application, I chose file > New > ActionScript Project Mobile enter a project name and choose the Flex SDK hero. [correction]

I click Next and the settings of the Mobile screen. The only displayed target platform is the platform Google Android - Tablet Blackbery is not available.

Can someone give me an idea of how to get the Playbook sdk to be recognized?

  • Flash Builder 4 and Eclipse WTP plug-in

I need someone to help put me in the right direction as to how to configure the Eclipse WTP plug-in in Flash Builder 4. I have the plug-in downloaded on my desktop with 2 main folders (features and plug-ins) in there. At this point, I'm stuck on where to go from there to get WTP in, or work with Flash Builder 4. I run the standalone FB4. Someone help me please.

    Bliss

The recommended way of getting to work with WTP FlashBuilder is using the site to update plugins grace-> to install a new software. Eclipse WTP plug-ins are deployed on a p2 Update site that is necessary for installation in FlashBuilder.

An alternative is to copy the folder that contains the WTP plug-ins and features in FlashBuilder's "dropins" folder

  • Packaging and signing in Flash Builder Burrito using 0.9.4 SDK

Hey guys. I know frankly, there are 1 million post on the forums about this, but I wanted to be sure and had a few questions myself. Good so I used Flash Builder Burrito to sign and package my request. My app is a Mobile Flex Application and I use 0.9.4 SDK. I used the MANY post on this forum through signature and methods of packaging and it worked perfectly, no errors at all. The two files that I got after conditioning and signature was my apps .bar and bar.sign files. I saw in other post to extract the .bar file to see if its signed and if the icon is there. How do you do this will WinRAR or PowerISO to extract this file type. I fear only because all Iv seen post are all saying theres tons of bugs with the packaging and signing using burrito, but all I could see was that they were using the SDK 0.9.3. Should I have a problem with my .bar file? I don't know how to extract my .bar file to view the contents, so I can at least check to make sure that it is signed and packaged properly. Can someone me another message or an article on how to extract the .bar file and check to make sure that its all good to present, RIMM. My previous version was rejected of RIMM is not signed and sent the Bug of version. I have just re-climbed the .bar I got to use the new SDK and had no errors, so I hope this is right. Anyway thanks in advance and any help would be great.

The .bar file is just a zip file.  It will work any util that allows to read a zip file.  If you need to rename the .bar to a zip file, which is OK, but be sure to rename it before upload.

  • Burrito of flash builder design mode is a white screen and does not not all components

Hey guys, for some reason none of my components appear any, when I go to design mode in flash builder burrito, and the screen is white. When I run the app, it works very well and seems very well my only problem is that I don't understand what is happening in "Design Mode". Someone has a similar problem to this, also, I don't get any errors about not being not able to load the design view just a pop-up that says that it takes a while to load and to continue or not. The only time I see a component is when I go to the source and highlight a component then go into design mode, then u see a blue outline of the component. You can see in my screenshot above. Any help would be great, thanks in advance.

    Thanks again,

    Brian

Design mode does not work if you include qnx libraries in the path of the libraries due to a bug in FB, there is a flag to uncheck (qnx libraries) in the project to BBT properties

I guess that the bbwp.exe that calls the bbwp.jar was compiled in a latest version of java.

Java 1.6.0 update 11 doesnot work.

I tried the update of java 1.6.0 17, all right.

RIM just needs to update their http://na.blackberry.com/eng/developers/devbetasoftware/eclipseplugin.jsp requirements from (SUN JDK 1.6 or higher) update (SUN JDK 1.6 XX or higher)
