  Hi, can someone please give me some advice to solve this problem?

  I'm using IE8 on a 32-bit Windows System. I was recently asked to install Flash, although I've never had problems with it before this prompt. When searching, all the Flash animations, I've tried to show were nothing else than a white box. I went to the Adobe site and tried to install the newest Flash, but the installer froze 100% every time.

  I used a custom displays, by choosing Windows as my OS and IE as my browser. It finished installing, and once I was redirected to the Adobe site, the Flash movie played by telling me that it had been properly installed.

  Flash worked perfectly well until I closed and reopened IE8. Suddenly, it was as if Flash has never been there. No animation would play, once more, if the Flash Player 10 ActiveX file was still in the control panel.

  OK, so you now have version 10.3.181.14 installed, it was the best way to do it. I'm sure that you have checked the Shockwave Flash Object to ensure that it is installed and activated. Also that it is the same version of FP.

  I tried this request in an Adobe forum but got no answer. I use Windows XP SP3. When I go into Control Panel Add / Remove Programs, I see that Adobe Flash Player 10 Activex appears twice. Same name and both show the last time that I acceded to them was 14/08/2010. The second one is slightly different because it shoes 2.42 MB in size. Why the duplication? Can I delete one?   I tried several times to install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player, but it WON'T install.  It downloads fine, but when you click on install, load the Adobe's Installation file (window), but that he was doing the lock of my computer.  Why?  I had 13. • Can't see Firefox v35 v38 flash player npapi 18 installed?

  I've been running Firefox v35 several months on Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate fully updated. But a week or two ago, I noticed that the embedded videos would not play, such the bbc.co.uk/news.  "Flash Player is not installed", Firefox looks like me.

  Repeated attempts to download installation (flash player npapi 18) appear to install correctly, Windows is concerned (it appears in the control panel).  But what do you, Firefox v35 will see that it is installed.  Shockwave does not appear on the plugins page. It does not appear when I go on the site of Adobe test to try to run the test.

  I've just upgraded to firefox v38 with reboot, uninstall and don't reinstall of flash player, but... still no play flash.

  As you can see, Active X version (which seems to work fine in IE 8) as well as the NPAPI version.

  

  There is NO Shockwave flash player plugin listed in the box of Firefox Addons. If there was, I would have allowed him now.

  I tried a complete uninstall of Firefox, remove each Mozilla folder in sight after several reboots and still have no flash player.

  I ran to your manual uninstall program and it uninstalled the Active X and NPAPI flashplayer.  Now the installer... and in the end, it shows only the NPAPI v18.

  Firefoxing... and now the player Shockwave Flash is here.  And it plays videos!

  And... so even Chrome and IE 8.

  Wow, I saw a post from m_vargas (personal Adobe): this is a known problem, so obviously there is a problem that nobody knows how to solve. Fix Adobe is use use only Chrome or installer - reinstall your operating system the offline. Great job Adobe.

  I have good news! I managed to install Adobe Flash Player 11 by going to my temporary download folder and remove Adobe Flash Player 11, I then downloaded it once more. This time it installed on my computer.

• Flash Player v19 fails install ActiveX on IE v11 (Win7 Ultimate)

  I was able to successfully play videos likely requiring Flash Player (e.g., Facebook) in my browser Internet Explorer 11 for quite some time now.  A few weeks ago they stopped play, and IE displays the error message that Flash Player is required for this kind of videos.  I tried downloading and installing Flash Player on adobe.com several times, whenever the installation program launches, downloads at 100% and the product to install but still fails with the error "control ActiveX cannot be registered.

  I tried the following installation scenarios:

  (1) download and run the independent activex control install package from adobe

  (2) turn off my Symantec/Norton antivirus for download & install

  (3) to open the Task Manager and ending the iexplorer.exe process even accuse after closing IE

  (4) do not open Task Manager, to continue to operate after the closing of the application THE process iexplorer.exe (2 of them).

  (5) made sure that IE 'ActiveX filtering' is turned OFF (that is to say, unchecked)

  Other info:

  -running Internet Explorer version 11.0.9699.18097 with the Version 11.0.25 update (KB3100773)

  -running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit w/last updated

  -execution of Symantec Norton Security Suite version 22.5.4.24 with live updates

  As I suspected, it is a problem of permission with the installation.  The issue started around Nov 11?  We published the latest version of Flash Player 11 Nov and installation, through substantive update, seems to be successful that day (not), however, I see many failed attempts to install Flash Player for IE after that.  Today the most recent attempt fails due to permissions errors.  The FAQ How can I fix Windows with Flash Player permission problems? contains information on how to solve this problem that runs a script to reset the permissions on various files and Flash Player registry entries.  If this does not work, you can try a less restrictive script of the microscope according to this tech note https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/968003.  This technical note makes reference to Windows updates, the error (0x80070005) is the same returned on the file Flash Player prevents the installation.
