FrameMaker 12 to Microsoft HTML Help?

We try to create help files (chm) FrameMaker 12 online. I thought part of the mapping, but an entire domain left me speechless! This is how to obtain a Table of hierarchical contents in help online like this:

Untitled-1.png

In addition, as noted above, we would like the 'title' on each page to not appear in the table of contents!

I couldn't find all the samples that resulted in the kind of things that I'm looking.

Any help would be appreciated!

Looks like your table of contents of the FM? The "publishing engine' inside FM12 being really HR, FM OCD OCD HR conversion is governed by the dashes in the table of contents of the FM.

Do you this by changing the definition of the window. Click view > pods > implementation of the project.

Expand the Windows folder, and then double-click the CHM window definition.

    Then, uncheck the glossary.

  • Microsoft HTML Help - lack expand icon in the table of contents

    Hello

The development (+) icon suddenly is no longer in the table of contents, when I generate a Microsoft HTML Help output. I can always double click books to develop them and see the underlying topics... but no + icon.

I have attached a few screenshots of what is happening and what needs to happen.

Can someone help me recover this icon?

    Thank you!

    Hello

Examine your SSL properties, and then click Change next to advanced settings. Then tab table of contents lines allow root and you can then activate the signs Plus/minus.

  • How can I disable & quot; Microsoft HTML Help Workshop & quot;?

    Greetings,

First of all, what is "HTML help BugHunter"? Sounds good, so I let her without knowing what it is. Now, I get the following message is displayed:

"HTML Help BugHunter cannot be activated while the Microsoft HTML Help Workshop is running."

Which brings me to my next question: what is Microsoft HTML Help Workshop? And more importantly, how can I disable it? I see nothing in HR help regarding this, an accurate description of what it is, or what is BugHunter.

Frankly, I don't want anything to do with Microsoft running in all HR project of mine, especially a "Microsoft HTML Help Workshop" - this from the coarser junk code in the history of HTML generator.

How can I turn off, off, off?

    Kind regards

    stevenjs

    Hi Steven

You run multiple instances of RoboHelp HTML? I ask because the only time I see these messages is when I open a second instance of RoboHelp HTML.

Microsoft HTML Help Workshop is also known under the name of RDD. It's a free download from Microsoft, and it can be installed with RoboHelp. I think it contains the HTML Help compiler. So if you're trying to create Microsoft HTML Help (compiled. CHM format) of RoboHelp, it is imperative to use the Microsoft compiler for it.

Not sure about anyway "turn off" other than not not to use a second instance of RoboHelp.

  • Install Microsoft HTML Help 1.4?

A customer tells me that they have installed Robohelp on six machines, but asked the installation for Microsoft HTML Help 1.4 must be installed. I haven't met myself, but can someone explain what this could mean, and what it takes?

    Thanks Pete.

It wasn't a hardcore user. It was just a technician computer installation software RH6, and he wrote, "asked the Microsoft HTML Help 1.4 installation to install" - and they asked my advice. Perhaps the installation routine could give more explicit information so that it does not waste time popular. Hopefully RH7 is preferable.

Thank you all for your advice.

  • HTML Help Home button - how to change the content

I use Robohelp 11 and we post our content as microsoft HTML help.  I wonder how to change the content of the button the top of the page next to the front buttons and back at home.  Since it's HTML Help I can't use a skin to change the buttons, but I need to change what is displayed when you click the home button.  I can't find how to change when the button links to.  I just want to link to our home page.

    Thank you!

    Matthew

    Hello

On luck outside, that you are not really wanting to address the 'skin in a CHM' quite yet, try this.

First, note the path and the name of the file that you want to appear when the user clicks on the Home link.

Open the pod of setting up a project. (View > pods > project configuration)

Expand Windows, and then double-click the CHM window. (If you do not see a CHM window, you will need to create a)

In the Properties window, click the Advanced Properties button.

And from the Advanced Properties dialog box, you type (Yes, you heard that right, TYPE) the path and the name of the file you want. (Remember this first step?) Note that you can also type a URL pointing to a website here.

    Hope this helps... Rick

  • Microsoft HTML output does not display content...

    Good morning people!

In addition to my previous question with import (now resolved), I have problems with my output selected on my Windows XP machine.

I am trying to compile out of Microsoft HTML Help. Everything seems to go well when compiling, no error is reported, and when I go out, the TOC is there and the way I like it. However, the content (book or a section), are not displayed in the content pane. I get a nice "cannot display the page" error for the content I want to watch. I tried the following:

I checked my LAN settings are set automatically detect

I enabled the SSL 2.0, SSL 3.0 and TLS 1.0

I set my security to medium

I assured my cipher strength is 128-bit

I also test compiled to WebHelp and displays all the content. I'm sure it's a simple solution, but it is excaping that me for the moment, therefore all tips and advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you and Bravo!

    ~ HTML-ed desperately how - to of

Try to move the CHM on a local drive, assuming that it is on a network drive (and this can include your desktop or the My Documents folder). CHMS are affected by a MS Security patch that produce this behavior.

  • Rename HTML help projects

This doesn't seem to be as easy as it sounds. I need to rename the CHM files for various projects (they are all merged together) without breaking anything. What I think I do, it's on the project tab, expand the unique Layouts of Source folder and open Microsoft HTML Help (main layout). When the dialog box opens, in the selection of output folder and the name of the file, I changed the name of "Current.chm" to "New.chm" file, and then click Finish.
Then I would recompile the project and must recompile in the! SSL! folder as "New.chm". Then, I should be able to commit the new file CHM to SVN. What worries me is the project of RoboHelp HTML file (orange with a white question mark) which is what I usually double-click to open and work on my project. I remember that rename previously when I had to rename the series of projects once before, but I don't remember the exact sequence of events (and unfortunately, after reviewing my notes, I didn't save the procedure). Any advice would be appreciated. This project represents a lot of work and I don't want to goof it upwards (Yes, I could always go back to a previous version of SVN, but I also quickly would do it right the first time).

    Thank you.

    -Travel

It's true. Double-click the project file opens the project complete HR with the SSL settings. So if you have changed the SSL, opening the project property will mean that the SSL properties will be as you changed the. Hope it makes sense. Obviously if you change the SSL settings to rename the CHM you can remove the old CHM files.
