  I created a tutorial on the use of a specific system and trying to recreate what the end user would have real in the system.  On a slide, the user must enter text in a field, and then press a (click) button to move to the next slide.  I want to be able to have the box click validate if the text is correct before moving on to the next slide.  Is there a way to get the box click to validate text input?  Don't know how to get the two objects to "talk" to each other rather than operating independently.

  

  Literally, I want the user to enter data into the text entry box, and then click get.  I need the Get (click box) button to validate the data entered in the text box entry is correct and, if this is the case, advance to the next slide.  If the data is bad, I need the Get (click box) button to display the legend of failure and have the end user to re - enter the data correctly.

  You must remove the click box. Yes, you heard me. Remove the puppy.

  I know that sounds weird. But bear with me. Once you remove it, double-click the text entry box. Then click on the Options tab. See this option called Show button? Click it, and then click OK to close the properties of TEB.

  Now you have the button you want. If you don't want a button, double-click on it and set it as transparent. Delete the text. Position you like, where the click box was before.

• Captivate 4 crashes when I try to add a click box to a slide

  I know that this is not an advanced feature, but it's certainly an aggressive bug. I have created several movies using the Clickbox button to add the boxes to my slides without problem, but I have a 4 in captivity file that crashes every time I click the Clickbox tool or try to stick a Clickbox from another film. The problem was created in the same resolution and using the same techniques as non problematic files. Any ideas on what could be the cause or am I stuck with a corrupted file that I need to remove?

  Maybe it's just a misunderstanding on my part: I read that you "exported" to the new file? Rick (Captiv8r) offered to copy/paste from the first to the new file. If you do this and take a small amount of slides at once, maybe, you will be able to detect corruption of (a) or the blades with corrupt objects. In this case, you only have to rebuild these slides and could recover the other slides.

  I develop a form where the user entered a amount field Amt, then distributes that amount to up to six 'finance' fields (Budget1, Budget2, Budget3...), that determine the money will come from. I've created a field of verification screen only (AmtVerif) that allows the user to see if the divided funds add up to the total shown on Amt.

  1 Add amounts in Budget 1-6 fields (that I managed to do by using FormCalc)

  2 match the total with the value given on Amt

  3 pop-up - a error message that says: 'You went out of the total', or 'Please check the assignment of funds' total case do not match.

  I tried to use 'if' with FormCalc expressions in post them and the events of output, and even if they appear to be correct, they do not show the error message. What I am doing wrong? Help, please!

  As you have discovered there are three visible TO/Cc/BCC fields.

  These fields even act as if you were typing an email.
  When you want a new line, you can click the enter/return key.

  When you are on the last entry 'visible', press the enter/return key, and the other one becomes available.

  You should see a scroll bar appears on the right side to see the previous entries.

  You can also just pull down from the top of the section of e-mail content to reveal more if you want to see everything. See picture to show this.
  Put the mouse cursor over the edge to put in place a double arrow head.
  left click and hold to get the edge.
  Slide down to reveal more and release the mouse when it is happy.
