How can I disable a computer if it doesn't work anymore

My level of purchased Adobe Reader X boss from a third party, and he had installed on his PC and the PC of the Secretary. The PC of the Secretary has since had a hard drive failure and was not recoverable. When installing on the new PC recording would not work because the license was already in use on 2 PC.  Since I can't launch Adobe on the HD has no how can I turn off this computer so that I can save it on PC replacement?

Just a few things...

There is no standard of Adobe Reader and Adobe Reader is free and doesn't require activation.

If you are referring to Adobe Acrobat Standard, it's against the terms of use. Yes, you can have it on both machines (desktop and laptop), but it is supposed to only be used by one person.

Adobe Acrobat activations issues should be taken up with Adobe themselves. Here users cannot reset the activations. You might have some problems with it since you are outside the terms of use.
