OK, dead end. The other option is to move the image and keep the container of fixed path. When I select the image with the direct selection tool, however, it only selects one of the hundreds of vector shapes that make up the image. Even if they are grouped, it will come only one hand. So I'm stuck.

  It's really amazing because it works so easily in InDesign, but you can't have the kind of image block ID I need or the type clipping traces I want in Photoshop. It is best done in artificial intelligence, but as is often the case there is a lack of critical feature which is located in another part of the so-called "suite" to do something that should be simple. I hope that's just it: I'm missing something really simple. Thanks for any help on this. Please don't tell me the vector image frame. I know it works, but this isn't a solution. It's a concession. If it's the only way, however, I do.

  If you have some bearings commented on, you will see Visual guides that indicate when an element is centered on the page by dragging the element. The red lines indicate that the element is centered horizontally/vertically on the page:

  -A slider effect can be added using layers or button form fields that contain images and then use the button to show/hide these items when you click it.

  You will not get the fancy transition effects you have on the web pages, but it will display a picture after another

  -What kind of legends? Just the text that appears beside them? It's something you should do in the authoring application, before converting the file to PDF.

  -Ditto regarding a picture of centering.
