  Currently in research to create text fields that expand when the amount of text exceeds the size of the text field.

  Any ideas?

  Not possible with PDF forms created in Acrobat.

  I created a password change process which changes the password when the user click the button change.
  
  My question is when the user clicks the reset button it will be the clear text fields and the focus of the cursor will be old password text field.
  Please tell me how to do it.

  WARNING: Not a programmer JAVA/type. I usually Google things to death and try to learn from there. Create a form and have followed some other suggestions, but I'm in a dead end to the expansion of a field (text field) to allow users to enter information, and to print the full entry once submitted.

  I changed the form must be sent using the e-mail button to choose the recipients and as doc pdf. I want to keep it this way. I created the form and do not use a template. I just signed up and looking for the button attach doc, created in Livecycle Designer ES in the hope that someone could take a look. Could not find the button attach. If anyone can provide their e-mail address to take a look, it would be great.

  Niall, I've been reading your posts and actually I tried copy and paste in one of your fields (re: subform as a debit, etc.) but so far no luck.

  I selected all the usual variables for the subform/text box:

  Allow multiple lines, allows breaks, will develop to adapt (height).

  Users return data can still submit a PDF from a dynamic XML form. It is always a PDF, it's just that description indicates that the form will enable dynamic behavior.

  There are other issues to consider. Knowledge that users interact with the form - Acrobat or Reader? Then you'll be reader allowing the form before deploy you? Finally, if you allow the shape, you use Acrobat or LC Reader Extensions ES2 to enforce the rights of the reader?

  • The dynamic XML form is always a PDF file and can be opened in Acrobat or Adobe Reader.

• How is it, text fields are spread over another?

  I've been through the forums and I tried some of the options available for others, but they do not seem to work for me.

  I currently have a dynamic form.  The 1st page positioned, so I tried as flowed, or work.  I wraped the text in their own subfrom fields and have added both of foregoing, still not woking.  I of course chose allow multiple lines and page break on several pages, still does not.  I am very frusttrated.  When I got on the 2nd page text fields that they develop properly, they should all text and automatically moved to the next page.  Is it because I have now on the 1st page?  I have the seal of assistance.  BTW, I don't know where I am with this anymore, my brain is anesthetized.

  Please find the updated form, and now the text encapsulates not on top of the next text box.

  I placed all the controls in the group under asubform and sank... And then each text box I placed inside another subform and checked the automatic adjustment of the Height property in the layout for each subform tab...

• How do the text field of the script on a master page to show a total of retail

  I'm trying to become familiar with LiveCycle Designer and need to know how to have the fields on the master page to reflect the detail for each page totals, then a master total at the end. It's for printing only output so I guess that the script should run on the server, because I saw this option.

  Another question: where can I find documentation for this so I can read other things myself? I have difficulties to find a path to what I need on the Web site. Thank you

  It can be done, but it implies some level of script. I was going to create a sample for you but thought that it would be easier to your screen. If you provide I'll put something together for you. Make sure you incode I can work with a data file.

• How to expand the text fields in a form of Muse?

  I want my forms to have longer areas to enter text. When I download the catalyst of business they work fine, but when I export HTML to download on my server and try to type in the text, the text fills only about half of the space available before you start to scroll. The multi line box is even worse. All the entered text is received, but it's horrible. Any suggestions? I would like to know if it's fixable before that I spend too much time listening to my people IT for PHP.

  Please check the status of defined text entry, as if the form is inserted in a container, then try to test the form with different text input boxes in a new page.

  In addition, check the Middle height of the text inserted in the chassis.

  I have a requirement to show a region in mode collapsed when the page is loaded for the first time. When the user clicks '+' icon in the header of the region, then the region should expand. is it possible in the ADF. any ideas are appreciated.

• How to move the fields in the contact forms

  I'm having a devil of a time of formatting of my muse contact form.  I had "change all" checked when I click on the widget to the entire form.  First of all, when I go to one of the fields and in the name field options, I checked all the fields - required, display the quick text, etc-, but the text prompt does not appear.  In addition, because I chose to edit together does all fields ' required?  Then, the big one - I searched and seen so many tutorials on this but I have not met that tells you how to move text fields.  Phone-work is down and I wanted to move it to the top.  And then when I added a custom field I wanted to add 'Profession' and place it under 'Name' but will have a hard time with that.  Anyone out there who can help me?  Frustrated!

  Selection in Muse form Widget works like other widgets in the program. You enter more deeply into the hierarchy every click: so with the first click you select the form, with the next click you select the form field, with the next click you select label/Input/button/SMS text according to what you click.

  You can select and move individual form fields or several fields of form (shift + click to add to the selection) wherever you want. There is a Form of Message field that isn't visible in States other than the Normal State - pay attention to move upward if you moved everything upward, but still see that your form is larger than expected with an empty space at the bottom [more often than not - the Message form field is the culprit]. Just go to any State other than Normal with the chosen form and you will see this field.

  Hope that clarifies how you can customize the form Widget in the Muse.

• How can I insert hyperlinks in text fields?

  Hello, I create documents pdf using Livecycle Designer for an organization, and recently I had a request for a document that includes expandable text fields.  The user also wants to put hyperlinks in these text fields.  I did the form and tried to put links in the text fields (using Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.5), but the form operation stops and I can't click on anything else (even if the cursor changes) or do something else that remove the information I entered and/or close the document.

  Does anyone know how to create a form in Livecycle Designer, which will allow the customer to insert hyperlinks in a text field that expands too?

  I have a dynamic form that includes several text fields for user input. These fields have a fixed height, however, allow multiple lines beyond the visible area. I don't want these fields to develop when you leave the field, but when the form is printed. The form is set up neatly on 7 pages, and I would that this still 7 when the user is working, however, I would like to expand to account for the extra text to print.

  How can I make sure when I print, expand the fields and the data flow on the next pages?

  There may be a better way, but when I need to position elements in a past form I use rectangles set no border so that they are invisible and put where I need spaces.

• How to develop a text field (no scroll bar)

  First of all, thank you for your time - I'm on a date limit to produce and I'm freakin ', that's not possible.

  What I'm trying to do is create a simple form that has the text field (7).  Each of these text fields can contain anywhere from one sentence to six paragraphs of the explanatory text.  All I want to box in the text field to do is develop as well as the content and break to another page if necessary.  I was able to create a text field that allows the long data to appear (multiple lines / develop to fit Y), but the text field box does not grow, it adds a scroll bar to the place!  Unfortunately, this is not what I need.  I need the story to be printed and easily visible for viewing.

  Here's how I did it... just an example...

  1. open a new blank template.

  2. in the page, select body (Untitled subform) (page 1)... call First_Sub

  3 Textfield in First_Sub and set the Hight: "Expand to fit" and "Allow multiple lines" in page layout and the object > pallets of field respectively.

  4. now in the Higerarchy palette select 'Fisr_Sub' and set Hight: "Develop to fit" in the page layout palette

  5 then under object > subform set palette "allow Page brakes with content."

  6. don't forget save it as a dynamic form

  7 try it now... that should do what you are looking for.
