How HRMS API can be used to hire a Contact?

In 11i and/or R12.1.3, who knows what (s) HRMS API can be used to hire a contact? In other words, a "person" that exists in the system but is not a former employee, for example, someone of the spouse or child. He is a person who exists in PER_ALL_PEOPLE_F, with one SYSTEM_PERSON_TYPE of OTHERS. We do not use iRec or any feature of the applicant, so I cannot create an application for the Contact, and then hire the applicant. Instead, my requirement is to directly hire Contact.

I am using the following APIs for other scenarios, but did not understand the rental Contact yet:

HR_EMPLOYEE_API. CREATE_US_EMPLOYEE - using this API for hires of the brand that do not currently exist in the database
HR_EMPLOYEE_API. RE_HIRE_EX_EMPLOYEE - using this API for rehire of former employees who already exist as a person in the database

A note more, I'm able to accomplish this task without any problem from the front end, so I think there must be a way to do the same for the back-end.
for example,.
1) go to the form of the person
(2) find Contact
(3) change the Action to "create jobs".
(4) choose the Type Person "employee."
(5) record, which rents the Contact and creates the employee successfully record

Don't know what version you are, but 11.5.10.2, the hire_into_job procedure is an overloaded procedure - looking at the comments in the header, which allows the conversion of types of 'OTHER' is one that has p_assignment_id as the OUT parameter

    You can install your app cc and programs on an unlimited number of computers.

    the only (minor) limitation is that you can only sign-in (and therefore start) programs cc on, more than two computers at the same time, but that is not really a restriction because you can logout of the computers and computer b with c, so you don't have even remember to disconnect to connect on a 3rd.

    You can use 12 with Elements 8 items and they can co-exist. According to the EULA, you may install the software on the Machine 2 but can use on 1 Machine at a time.

    In other words, you can use the applications on machines up to 2. Maybe Lr on one and the PS on the other.

    This seems to be a badly phrased statement, which is directly contradicted by the terms of service (section 4.1), which allows the software to be activated on both machines (it's LR on PS and 2 of 2) with restrictions (cannot be used on both machines at the same time).

    Installation on your VMware Server is better, then you can leave the converter cover/locate your VMware Server images locally. This method will ask you to turn off your virtual machines.

    Another method is P2V as that can be done while the virtual machine is running. On source, use your IP VM and destination for your ESX host.

    I am trying to initialize a descriptive flexfield on per_all_people_f. I tried initially to do initialization using a database trigger "before inserting line" directly on the table. per_all_people_f seems to work perfectly in the form of people (PERWSHRG), but doesn't seem to work constantly when a new employee is entered into a model as employees enter (PERWSQHM).

    Does anyone know if you can use a hook of user API to initialize a value on an API tables o is the insertion? For example, could put a user hook "before the process' on the 'Create_ employee' API to change the value of a descriptive flexfield?

    Other good ideas?

    Currently I have a concurrent application which runs once every 30 minutes by default the descriptive flexfield. The delay is causing issues.

    Yes, API user hooks are not good to make updates. Has a database trigger that updates the person table in an API call which also updates the person table is not advisable and development Oracle would not encourage him: the person API is complex and could (even if it is not now) substitute, regardless of your prior release don't (API retrieves first the old values which is in front of your trigger fire and uses as the basis for updating).

    Would you rather write a simple simultaneous program that covers everyone who did not have this value set and default it? In this way there is no risk of your substance interfering with the standard Oracle stuff (and vice versa).
