How to draw on existing PDF

I have an old Adobe Acrobat which I can draw lines arrows of circles of boxes, etc., but I don't see this on all of this on the new adobe programs. I take blu-printing and add, delete and replace the items smoked I would an adobe program that will allow me to modify a pdf file and shoot them. What program or how with the new DC Pro Adobe?

The tools are available in Acrobat DC (& the free ms Reader). Click 'Tools' and then on 'Comments' - the drawing markup tools will be presented for selection.

How can I add white space between areas that contain text fields?

I use Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2015.

I'm trying to change an existing PDF. I need to add white space between areas that contain text fields to allow these areas to be developed and do not overlap the text and the text below fields.

    For example:

    1. 1.

    Progress/strategies:

    1. 2.

    Progress/strategies:

    1. 3.

    Progress/strategies:

    1. 4.

    Progress/strategies:

The space between each 'progress/strategies' increasing needs. A text field is under each of them. If it's a Word doc, I could just press on enter. What is the best way to do this with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC?

There is no easy way to do it. You need to move the text fields more apart and if there are static elements, then you will need to use the tool edit text & Images to move them, separately.

  • How to add a programmaticaly code PDF to an existing PDF?

How we programmatically add code PDF to an existing PDF? Background: I produce technical manuals of the aircraft. Datalogics composer allows us to compose lists of control of the aircraft in the form of PDF files for printing. The customer wants to view the ACL on a Mini IPad and interactively check boxes and fill in the fields of the IPad. Ideally, we would apply the interactive PDF code for PDF composed in a composition program after. I don't know if this is possible, and I don't know where to start looking. Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

What do you mean by "a composition program after '? If you mean Acrobat, then you can add form fields using a script.

If you mean something else then this forum is not the place for your question...

  • I'm unable to "save under" when you work on an existing PDF file - how to fix this?

I have an existing pdf and make a change, acrobat doesn't let me do a backup to give the file a new name or save it to a new location. I've just updated to DC on a new computer with Yosemite. Any ideas how to operate?

    Hi joannk,

The default "Save as" dialog Acrobat DC is different from the dialogue box you had in earlier versions of Acrobat, it also allows you to record in the clouds and previous locations that you saved the files. It is possible that when Acrobat tries to connect to the 'cloud', it runs into problems. You can try to disable this feature to see if this brings your backup in the back of the box: open Acrobat Preferences, then go to the "General" category and uncheck "show the online storage when you save files:

  • How can I draw in a pdf document?

Im a teacher and I receive my homework to students as pdf files. And I want to be able to draw in these files, my students writing notes. Since I'm a math teacher, I would like to be able to write a mathematical notation and make explanatory drawings for my students.

So my question is: is it possible to draw in a pdf document? Im not asking if I can insert a drawing or a picture, but actually draw directly into the document.

The drawing tool is not that easy to use and it has not discussed by Adobe. When you try to write for example, it will often change to a selection of what you drew rather than allow you dot an "i" or cross a "t". If you find that this is a problem, the alternative for number of educators is PDF Annotator. I don't like ad another product here, but it's a question that does not respond to Adobe. There you can write and draw your level of desire without this issue of future selection. However, he is unable to do much more.

If you are looking to buy Acrobat for special needs, be sure to check pricing for educational use (products).

Looks like you may reflected on the drive and not the full Acrobat. In Acrobat, the drawing tools are under the comments.

  • When you create a form to fill out fields of an existing pdf file, how do you define or allow end users set the font size in the fields?

I managed to create a pdf form using an existing pdf document.  However, the font size is too large to allow the end user to type information in the form region.  Is there a way for 1) globally and/or 2) allow the end user to change the font size if necessary to put all the information in a box without police being so big & set all form fields when generated a lot more small font size?

If the form field is created with the 'Allow Rich Text Formatting' option, the use can pull up the 'Properties', 'Ctrl' + E tool and change the format of the text such as the police, size, super/u: script, color, etc.

Change the size of the text in the field of form (rich text formatting allowed)

  • Help!  Can I add an additional field to an existing PDF form?

I have an existing PDF I created from a Word Doc and have made this PDF file in a form with many drop-down list fields, specially formatted fields, fields, ect.

Now I need to add another field of this form (i.e. a table "office use only"), however I don't want to do it in the Word Doc, convert to PDF and then having to recreate the PDF form from scratch, I did a huge amount of work, the creation of all fields in the form.

Is there a way I can make the necessary changes to my Word Doc, covert, he to a new PDF and then merge to my existing PDF, while keeping all the form fields is just to add an additional field that and as I can then turn it into form fields?

I already tried - to create the table in Word, print screen, save it in JPEG format and insert into my existing PDF.  The picture is not as crispy as it should be and looks like a ' add to ' I don't really want to.

The table I want to insert has formatting special meets a company style guide, so I really need to create it in Word to keep the required formatting.

    HELP PLEASE!

    Hi jlgrobbelaar,

Yes, you can use the Replace Pages to keep all the form fields and scripts, as they are now in your original PDF.  Here is a tutorial on the use of Pages - replace

    https://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/how-to-replace-the-background-pages-in-a-PDF-form

If you add your new field/area to the form results in changes of layout for the form then you may need to move the fields in place, but it's better than having to add everywhere.

    Hope this helps,

    Dimitri

  • I have Adobe Acrobat XI and can not know how to draw a line.  I need to redline some documents but can not.  Does version XI even not this feature?

I have Adobe Acrobat XI and can not know how to draw a line.  I need to redline some documents but can not.  Does version XI even not this feature?

Yes, Acrobat Pro XI and standard have this ability.
There is the comment > Annotations > online tool.
There is the comment > Annotations > tool bar.

In the Properties dialog box for one, you can select a desired color (i.e. red).
So, in properties, you can check a choice to make this the default value of the tool.

Basically, all versions of Acrobat (including the new "DC") offer this feature.

If you work with a scanned image that has been placed in the PDF don't forget to use the OCR to get an output of a 'real' text - Acrobat provides a feature of OCR.
