How to restore the catalog section to its original state?

For a previous book, I deleted some tags in the catalog section out-of-the-box. Now I don't have the full set of STANDARD tags for use in a new book.

I have an old document with all tags OOTB, and I can import these tags from the new book. But it would be much easier to simply go back to the original catalogue. Is there a way to do this?

Thank you

FrameMaker is demanding a model? Are you sure you follow him

good measures? To open a new blank document:

1. Choose file > new > Document (or Ctrl + N). The 'New' dialog box opens.

2. click on either the Portrait, landscape or customizing the buttons at the top

of the dialog box. This will create a new blank document, with default

tags ("out of the box").

3. open the paragraph catalog. The following default paragraph formats

must include:

Body

Flea

CellBody

CellHeading

Reference

Title 1

Title2

HeadingRunIn

Indented

Numbered

Numbered1

TableFootnote

TableTitle

Title

You can then import these tags in a document or book:

1. open both the file to import (in the blank document)

and the file you want to import to.

2. click on the file you want to import. (Or, in a .book file,

Select as many files as you want to import in).

3. Choose file > import > formats. Select the document that you want to import

of in the "Import of Document" drop list, and then uncheck the box

everything but the paragraph Formats (if you want to import only

paragraph formats).

4. click on Import *.

5. who should do it. The default paragraph formats should now be added

to your existing document.

  • Caveat! If you have formats in your document with the same

name, they will be replaced with the properties of the imported

formats with the same name in the blank document. So, if you

Customize paragraph in your existing document formats, your

customizations will be lost.

My apologies if I tell you what you already know. I do not have

  • Factory reset for Windows 7 will restore my BIOS too to its original state when I bought it?

I now use Windows 8, I bought my laptop in JULY 2012. It came with Windows Home Premium and I have the recovery disc for Windows 7. I intend to factory reset my laptop because of my disappointment with Windows 8 and supprt for Windows 8.

I want to know if the "factory Reset" will restore the BIOS of the laptop in its original state. I mean I have my BIOS set to update to the latest. I want to return to its former State. How long is the factory reset also takes? I own edition HP DV6T Quad 7000 with 32 GB WSSD.

Intel RST does not have anything, my HARD drive is shown in non-RAID and there is no way I can change it to RAID. My last option is to try the Factory Reset and see if it helps. I'm sure that TSRI will work if my BIOS is restored to the original condition with everything so it starts to detect my HDD in RAID.

    Hello

A factory image recovery will not affect the version of BIOS or current settings. The duration during which the factory image recovery takes wil depend on what type of recovery media that you have. If you have a usb recovery media that it will probably wait maybe thiry minutes. Use you a recovery value disk while recovery might take a few hours to complete.

Once you start the recovery not to touch the keyboard.

Make sure that the wireless is turned on before commit you to the recovery.

  • How to restore the icons of windows 7 original for shortcuts

    Hello

I use Windows 7 Professional. In a completely unexpected way (probably after installing Nero essentials 8) pictures of my shortcut (with the classic arrow) icons have changed. Now ALL my shortcuts are represented with the same icon files that are not associated with any program (generic icon).  Now, it is very difficult to distinguish things and to distinguish between files and programs.

Notice that this happens only with the shortcuts, all other icons are good.

IconCache.db is no longer available in Windows 7, or at least I can't.

I don't even know if it's a problem of cache if the icon itself of shortcuts is damaged or missing.

I tried restoring the system five times, I try every restorepoints that would be prior to the problem, but it does not solve.

Is it possible to solve the problem without having to reinstall windows?

    Sincerely

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of vista recovery discs and also ask them if you have a vista recovery partition on your hard drive to reinstall vista back to factory standards

you will normally need to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process vista back to factory standards

  • Restore the catalog from the NAS - PSE 13

All media (pictures, videos) stored on an external NAS, an extensive catalog was stored on my HARD drive and saved on the NAS server.

When my hard drive crashed, I tried to restore the catalog, but he could not 'connect' to existing media still on the NAS, but instead I had to restore all media on a differrent drive.

I'm looking for is the ability to simply restore the "database" and connect it to the existing media.

Is there such a possibility in PSE 13?

Also, I would be grateful for an explanation of the different files PES creates in a catalog. The files contain the actual "database"? Can these files be saved directly without using the "catalogue of back-up" - command to post-secondary studies?

    Thank you for your help,

Yes, it's how a backup of the Organizer. You cannot use the backup yourself, it is not a simple "copy" of your photo files folder field of the plantation. It is a resource for the process of restoration of the catalog. You cannot 'connect' in the backup folder. But the huge advantage is that you can restore your catalog (database and other resources) so your image files.

    No problem.

The catalog itself is not a file, it is a complete folder containing your database: a file named ' catalog.pse13db, which is a database sqlite; more than many other files and subfolders.

Looking for the location of the catalog in the menu help/information system of the Organizer. You may need to do a search with Windows Explorer for file catalog.pse13db.

It is simple to copy or move the catalog folder. Because its content is not changed when you move or copy, it is easy to "Save" and "restore" the catalog itself.

The problem is that if the content of the catalog do not change the location of the file changes when you restore to a different location (disk or main folder). You must "reconnect" files, which is to change the location of each file that is saved in the database.

Knowing the purpose of all the files and subfolders in the folder catalog probably will not help you. To 'reconnect', you will need to use sql queries to change the catalog.pse13db database.

  • How to integrate the catalog PSE in automated backup?

Hi, I'm going to set up a backup process automated for my computer to a remote ftp site. Including my pictures are simple, but I don't know how the PSE catalog could be reliably. The help of someone who understands how this work would be greatly appreciated.

One way that could work, even if it requires manual steps is backup in PSE. After the backups from PSE, I would include the PSE-backup files in the automated backup. The obvious disadvantages are that I have to:

    -do it manually in PSE

-keep the files backup-PES locally, as an interim step in the procedure, pending automated backup to ftp site.

I am considering the solution below, that would be more interesting if it works:

    1. instead of keep the catalog in the default location, I offer the catalog ('my photos') in my "D:\Data\PSE9" as a location directory in the file-> catalog dialog box. I guess I have to do this from within the PES.

    2. the "C:\Data" directory (where all the images and the catalog is now located) is backup place automatically at the remote ftp location.

Now, let's say I have my hard drive fails and all the data is lost. So I re - install windows & PSE. How would then restore the catalog and the files? This procedure might work?

    3. from the remote backup, I restore all the files in the directory "C:\Data", including photos and the catalog folder "D:\Data\PSE9".

    4. now comes the tricky part. I assumed that I would go into file-> catalog and select custom location, set the location custom to "D:\Data\PSE9".

    5. I then would see the 'My photos' catalogue in the custom location, just as it was before the accident?

    6. then I guess that I just opened the catalogue 'My photos' and everything is back to the way in which this is the last backup time.

This procedure would work and actually produce a reliable backup that can be restored without any problem? A caveat which I foresee is that I would have PSE closed when the backup is actually running, so that I get the file list in the middle of some update or changes. But I can live with.

Thanks for any help and suggestions on this.

To put it simply, I guess that your backup already deals with all types of photos and media in your catalog.

Do not forget to backup included in the Organizer treats these files as the catalog itself (the database).

Where the catalogue? Consult the menu help/information system. You will find the location of the folder that contains the catalog. This folder contains several files and subfolders. Just include the folder and its subfolders in your current backup.
