  Just * wait * automatic, huh?  Not the way things usually work with new technologies.  Even the required iPhone that you have iTunes installed on your PC in order to REALLY work.  Who can feel auto - but it wasn't.  Not everyone has iTunes.  ;-)

• Yesterday Windows Vista installed a new set of updates and now my phone Windows Mobile will be is more synchronized with the computer via a USB cable. It was working perfectly before the update.

  I went through the entire list of solutions for troubleshooting a connection cable with no luck.  The Windows Mobile Device Center simply doesn't even recognize that the phone is connected.  I used several cables with no success.

  I suggest you try a free softphone XP. Many are available when you perform a search. Always check that it says "Freeware license". Free downloads does not necessarily mean the program is free. Please use Yahoo Search as they have a function called "Search Scan" which advise you if a site has bad downloads.

• Whenever I plug my Android phone, Windows sets a new network

  I have a recent development between my Android phone and Windows 7. Whenever I plug my Android phone to my computer to download pictures of her, (I didn't put it up as a hotspot, blue tooth is off), Windows detects it as a new network and the pop up window appears asking me to identify if it is a home network, work network. My concern is that it is now 'Network 15', and next time it will be "16", etc. of the network.

  My HTC Desire X can use HTC Sync Manager, but I have tried both and neither of them is very useful software.  Two of them, for example, to synchronize favorites of IE in a simple list in a single folder [that is, they lose the folder structure that you can use in favorites of IE in order to manage the potentially large number of items you have in there].
