  I feel silly post about what I imagine is a simple problem, but I have an Aspire XC - 603 new desktop that will not turn off! There something automatic start-up that makes me nuts.

  Aspire unit XC AXC - 603 G-UW13, age of less than 30 hours.

  Random crashes and restarts for no apparent reason.

  I noticed this especially during and after the Windows updates are performed.

  Nothing else that Firefox has been installed so far.

  I delete most of the "junk" that comes pre-installed however.

  Should I come back?

I tried windows + p and could not get anything on the second monitor. When I changed from one monitor to the other HDMI cable the monitor worked, but always one at a time.   I have an AXC 603 I throw that multi monitor on... However for your problem I think the question is your d - Sub to DVI connection.

  I guess you are trying to connect an analogue to a digital input. If this is the case, you would need a special adapter that can cost from 60 to 150 depending on where you buy... in this case it is best to just get a different view. Or unfortunately buy another computer.
