I need to adjust the dpi when batch exporting a PDF file in format TIFF, Acrobat Pro

Hi all

I have Adobe Acrobat Pro. I use action tool export batch than several (approx. 425 individual pdf) pdf to TIFF format files. My problem is the resulting TIFF images are of low resolution, and I do not know how to set the export settings to get Adobe to export it to 600 dpi or more.

If I jump the batch and each pdf file manually I can actually adjust the settings to 600 dpi, but I have too many files to do it manually. Also, if I use the feature to "combine files", bring all within a multi-page pdf, then export to TIFF: I can set it to 600 dpi, but then each file exported with a different file name. Example: "MAP5" gets exported as 'Page x of x' so I would rename of 425 files to their original file name.

Thanks in advance for your time and your help.

In the category 'Convert to PDF' of preferences, you can specify the resolution.

Why am I losing my page/font formats and spacing when I export my PDF file to Word?

It would be useful to know the operating system and the version of Acrobat. When you export, the registration screen has a settings option that includes retain format (creates a lot of text boxes) or flow. There are also options for OCR and graphics in the settings. If the PDF has strange fonts (or non-system), they will be not recorded and Acrobat will try a better idea on an appropriate policy.

  • Color separation when you export a PDF file

She was driving me crazy, ADOBE seems to have forgotten to separate colors when using export to PDF method.  Even quark has this option.

    See you soon

    On behalf of Adobe...

Adobe applications, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop intentionally omitted the ability to initiate a previously separated PDF workflow. Even if we could hack together previously separated PDF format by producing PDF via PostScript distillation (another stream of work that strongly discourage us at Adobe), the concept behind modern PDF of publication workflows must leave content in its final form at the highest level of abstraction until it must be made, if this rendering is on the screen (a device intrinsically RGB) 4 dye Printing CMYK, or high-fidelity print using traditional CMYK dyes and other coloring such as bright green and orange or light cyan and light magenta as well.

Once you separate the PDF, you can't really see the PDF for normal playback, you can not easily search or edit, and you cannot change the target printing condition. You can also not dynamic transparency in a previously separate PDF file! And modern native PDF RIPs do not work with these workflow! No ISO PDF / X standard supports these workflows either!

You want or need to preview separations? Use the preview feature separation of Acrobat (or even the creation of applications).

If you work with a Luddite printing service provider that requires this PDF files or creates internally, you really need to consider very seriously the other print service providers.

  • InDesign, merging the pages when you export to PDF

    Hello

I'm sure I tried all the export options when exporting to PDF of my InDesign document, but for some reason, the pages keep merging (2 pages of singles coming out like one).

Here is the screenshot of the result:

    SS.jpg

And here's what I have in InDesign:

    SS2.jpg

As you can see, they are certainly different pages. I tried simple, single page continuous... etc.

    Someone has an idea?

    Kind regards

    Mario

You export to interactive PDF, aren't you?

By default than exports is spreading, and there is nowhere in the dialog box change - must be performed by the script. Interactive PDF from InDesign CS5 has always Spreads on | InDesignSecrets

If you do not need the interactivity in the PDF file, export to PDF (Print).

  • change the default setting to remove or hide the toolbar when creating or opening pdf file

As is typical, software engineers, or maybe it's the marketing clowns who prescribe what we, collectively, want or expect with software apps new and improved, we know and love. When I create and/or launch a pdf file I am unable to stop the 'tools' to also launch - pane "" they think I am unable to find said 'tool pane', then 'they' put up as a characteristic defect - SOMETHING I don't care for...

So, anyone know how to prevent such "Component tools" to accompany any pdf file I create and/or start to show after the backup?

PS - I tried through the function "Préférences" under "Edit" in the menu bar. Maybe I am unable to decipher what certain choices are so I'm on the possible solution. I tired many variables without result.

    Hi carlfurr,

This issue has already been resolved in July day of hide the tools Panel in Acrobat and Acrobat Reader DC at all times.

Make sure you Acrobat Reader DC at day & your restart your system after changing the settings.

  • Linked with overlays seems well on the PC when you export to PDF, but Mac horribly distorts the color?

I'm in a draft. File to HAVE it in my. INDD on PC and it is beautiful! I export the PDF file, send to my supervisor, who is on a Mac, and it seems like garbage!

    correct.jpg

    Beautiful, bright and beautiful!

    incorrect.jpg

I think this was shot in a dumpster...

What is going on?  When my supervisor tried to print it, he is always out like that, but when I print it, that's fine.

A little about the. : File is a gradient mesh with multiple layers of semi-transparent bunk reasons, "soft light."  The files are placed in the form of links in the InDesign file.  They have matching color profiles. I also tried with the link in case that is the question.  I am at a loss.

PS the quote above is not an indication of my feelings towards Adobe. It happened to be in the document, I'm trying.

I bet it is visualized in the Mac preview. Ask your boss to watch it in Acrobat or Reader.

  • In the areas of text of the text is then export a pdf file to word

I use a MAC and have converted a document, but all the text is in the areas of separate text which is extremely frustrating because it makes editing the document extremely difficult, there is a way to stop what is happening and get the document just convert a normal word document?

You have the option, when exporting to retain the provision that creates text boxes or keep the flow. The latter is probably what you want. When you get the save in menu, select the options or settings button and change this option.

  • Order of pages when you export a PDF file

    Hello

Is there a possibility in ID CS4 to export a book with cover page (odd page number) in a PDF file where pages would be displayed correctly when shown in pairs? Actually cover (1) is displayed with the number of page 2, instead of having only 1, then 2-3, 4-5 etc.

If I delete 1 in the PDF file or add an empty page, the pages are shown correctly but then the page numbers are wrong. Is there a way to remedy this situation?

    Kind regards

This is a setting in Acrobat, InDesign not.

  • 6 inDesign crashes when you export a PDF file

I get the same report of crash for days, every time I try to export a PDF in InDesign CS6. I don't know what is happening with this particular file, but can I export other files without problem. I have deleted all links .indd and .ai and does not use the new fonts that won't export in other files. I tried to export single pages and the whole document, in different resolutions, and it crashes every time. I stuck my last report of accident here: INDESIGN 6 CRASH REPORT - Pastebin.com

Export the file to IDML and open that.

Note also that you must patch InDesign (help > updates) and CS6 is not taken in charge at 10.11.

  • .PS generate a blank PDF file after upgrading from Acrobat Pro 7 to 9 of the file

    Hi all

I searched for it in vain, so I come to you now in desperation. My boss asked me track down this error and I have to be honest, I'm a little green with Acrobat Pro. So come the situation I know. My Department, usually use a .ps file to generate a publication as a PDF of the other .ps files. We operate on a network share (drive P :) on Windows XP SP3 machines with the latest updates.

In Acrobat Pro 7 we can double-click the .ps file that executed the code through Adobe Distiller and a finished PFD at the same file below name would exit in the host directory. But now, after upgrading to Adobe Acrobat 9, this process produces a PDF file with all bookmarks appropriate and no content.

You will need a form any component server if you want to do 'on the fly '.  No matter have yoru server type and component you choose will define the API.

  • Compression setting specific to the image when you export to PDF

I have a document with about 15 images 48pp some files .ai, .psd files and .tiff files placed in it.

Is it possible that I can use jpeg compression on all images except one where I want to ZIP compress to keep all the details in an image of the card which is placed as a .psd ATM? The only thing I can think is to export all the separate bits in the form of files tiff/jpeg card images and select no compression in the export dialog, this reduces the flexibility in the production phase and is a chore, I prefer to be without future workflows.

Not at once. You can first export all the pages with a standard compression and then a page with different settings and later merge/replace in Acrobat.

  • Define the quality of compression for individual images to export a PDF file?

When is export a PDF in the ID file, you are given an option to downsample and compress images. My problem is, I want to compress images more than others. For example, a photo in the paper could be much more than a sous-echantillonnees png logo. Of course, I could go and pre-sous - sample each image to the right size in photoshop, but it may involve sort of. Is there a way I could exclude at least one particular image of compression?

    Hi Graham,

If this is all for a PDF file, which should be light for web downloads and not for print jobs we can do the following:

    1. export a PDF file with different settings Downsample

2 merge PDFs with Acrobat Pro

    Using the functionality of layers:
    A. import as layer
    B. flatten layers

To get the different resolutions of individual images, configure the images that you do not want to see with a separate export for re - print.

If this idea will work or not work depends on the structure of your page layout. And it might be a little automated through scripts. The extent of automation can be low or high. If images that shouldn't be downsampled can be identified by certain rules, legal regimes may or other means such as styles of object applied to the container used frames per etc., it could be high. And also individual export can be done by the script.

    Kind regards
    Uwe
