I uninstalled Acrobat Pro XI because it has not been opened, now I can't reinstall.

Adobe Acrobat XI Pro has stopped working on my Mac a few days ago. I've updated the program, but it does not always open. In the search for help, I tried a few solutions without success. I decided to uninstall and hope to reinstall to fix the problem. However, after uninstalling creative cloud always presents the program as one that I installed and does not allow me to download.

Any suggestions?

This should help, Acrobat poster "installed" in the Adobe Application Manager when uninstalled

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.

I forgot my password for windows 7 for my laptop and a reset disk has not been created. How can I recover the password or create a new one? and I have a dell inspiron one 19 desktop... your help will be very appreciated thanks in advance!

Here are the usual methods to solve this problem:

    • Restart the computer with your Windows repair CD, then use system restore to set Windows in a few days (only works if you have recently changed the password).
    • Logging in as a different admin account and then reset the password for your existing account (works only if create you an alternative admin account).
    • Log in as administrator mode without failure, then reset the password for your existing account (works only if you have activated the account administrator and know its password).
    • Insert your flash drive USB with the password key file (only works if you have created such a keyfile).
    • Check your paper files (works only if you threw down the password somewhere)

If none of these standard precautions work for you, then the remedy will be painful. Post again if this is the case.

  • Roll on the text occasionally comment on erratic results, for example, first highlighted word and then no other product even if the mouse has not been published.  How can I fix it?

I have Acrobat Pro DC and Windows 10.  When you try to make editing comments, I find almost impossible to get the words marked (by rolling on it with the mouse button).  The blue highlight climbs around the word to Word or closed unexpectedly after rolling on a single word, even if the mouse button was released.

In addition, now that the strike and replacement tool has been eliminated, you are supposed to perform the same operation on the text to replace and, once the text highlighted blue, simply start typing the new text.  It works not.  After finally getting the right text marked, I start typing, and nothing happens.  I might have to select a tool (for example, strike-out), use and remove the strike-out, before the operation crossed out - replace works again.

I have used earlier versions of Acrobat Pro (on Vista) without such problems.

The problem I described with text selection was not with Acrobat, but rather with a failing wireless mouse.  Replacing the mouse seems to have resolved.  See erratic mouse, by selecting the problem of text - Logitech Forums

  • I have two drives of 64-bit SP1 W7 Pro and I used one of them to install on a system. It has not been installed, but I can't remember which.

I built a new system and I have both MS Windows 7 64 bit SP1 OEM drives.

I used one of the disks for installation of W7 some time ago.
I not only remember the one I used.
I want to not use the one I previously used.
Is there a way I can say that I have used without guessing?
I don't know, but I read that if I use the one I have already used it will be 'unlicense"(which is not the right term) the system I had already installed and I don't want that to happen.
    Can anyone help?

The disc is irrelevant, what matters is the product key that you used.

Compare key - license in use

    Click Start, type: cmd

    Right-click on CMD

    Click on run as administrator

At the command prompt, type the following command:

    slmgr - dli

    Press enter on your keyboard

This will reveal the key to partial product that give a clue. Compare it with the keys that you have and it will confirm which copy is in use.

  • Why internet Explorer would be a running task when it has not been opened?

I was watching "Process Explorer" of internal system the other day, and I noticed that the IEExplorer was an active process. I had yet to open, or he was showing on the taskbar. In addition, he was a kind of action as numbers in some of the columns changed. I tried to determine what actions occur by checking the property sheet, but didn't have the knowledge required to understand anything. Worried he would be apparent virus, I killed the process until I noticed a lot of useful information. The only thing I noticed that I did not understand a process file path info. After the info for the file .exe path, which was normal, was the text: SCODEF: 28196 CREDAT: 79873.

I never saw that IEExplore was running without being open. It seems very unusual for me and worry about viruses, etc., even if I use McAfee and ran Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool. Would be very happy for any information.

    1. have you updated security software and analysis of the computer?
2 have you made changes on the computer before this problem?
