I've updated Adobe Flash to 15.0.0152 via the system of preferences update in the Flash icon. But no DMG file has been downloaded. This never happened in the past. Why not?

I used the classic interface of function (I hate windows 8.1), and nothing came. I spent an hour looking for my computer. Nothing. I have re downloaded Adobe Flash Player, and this time the installer came. I thougth it's finally over! When I tried to watch a video on Crunchyroll, my good friend Shockwave Flash has crashed again. I remembered that I had to close Chrome so that Flash start running.   Flash player is bundled with google chrome and you cannot update or reinstall again outside of google chrome. To get the latest version of Flash player for chrome, you must update your google chrome. The current version is 17.0.0.169 and you can check your existing version by visiting the Flash Player Help link and click check now. And if your flash is still stuck on the last version of 17.0.0.169 in Chrome, well want to file a bug in https://bugbase.adobe.com/ with all possible details.

  The Setup file you use must be the installation of a flash drive for any other browser, but not for google chrome.

  I found the problem, ADOBE FLASH is called Shockwave Flash. I had turned off a long time ago because Firefox. I thoght Adobe Flash is a different product. If it had been installed. I put it in "Ask to activate" and now everything is OK. I was just stupid!

  Adobe does not sell older versions of their software.  You will need to try your luck with the purchase of a third-party provider.  Try the Google search.

  It seems to me that your system file associations are out of step and must be properly configured.

  First, you will need to know what to use to open these files. Then you can Google how to set the file associations for any operating system you have and go and put them in the correct application.

  As to why they are generated, not sure, but not something from Adobe.
