• Strange icon that will not allow the update to Adobe Flash Player 17 for mac

  When I download the most recent Adobe Flash update for mac I have a strange icon.

  

  When I double click to launch the update file, I get an even weirder window full of gibberish.

  If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, I'm open. I went through each help file I can find for Adobe and nothing has helped so far.

  Remove the .mdlp of file name, so that it ends just .dmg.

  We are seeing this behavior with users who have installed of MathLab and we look at why this is happening.  FWIW, this happens to other software THAT DMG files as well, not only the installer of Flash Player.  For some reason when users have installed, MathLab when the DMG file is downloaded, it adds the extension .mdlp for her.  When users try to run it, rather than open with DiskImageMounter, which is what OS X uses to open DMG files, it opens using MATLAB and the result is what you posted.  In this case in the future, simply remove ".mdlp" from the file name and DiskImageMounter will open the DMG, instead of Matlab.

• WiFi not on the toolbar icon

  Need help please, I have problems with wifi on a Palm TX. I don't really know what happened that my wife called me at work but I returned and did a hard reset several times and the wifi icon still not repopulate. There is not yet all options for wifi in the menu Preferences, but there is a spot on the toolbar where it should be fine. Really, I don't know what else to do here, and I just got this for my wife as a Christmas gift. Could someone please help me with this?

  In an attempt to defend myself in the middle of a separation/divorce case, I was confronted with a printout of so-called MSN communication between myself and another person who appear to have been falsified. Print must be from a program to restore the software of some sort because I do not believe the person who presented to me would be typed it upwards to make it look like a print. There are familiar expressions, but they are completely out of context.  Print reflects excerpts from actual conversations have however a sexual shade for them, none of which were part of the original communications.  I am at a loss to explain what I know the nature of the initial communication is quite civilized, not playful and flirtatious not somehow, but printing resulting reflects the foregoing.  My question is if deleted MSN messages end up in the trash and if someone attempted to restore the files, is it not true that Microsoft is going to the source when restoring files and in this case, the source would be the World Wide web?  The World Wide web is not a portal open for falsification?  If anyone out there can provide a technical explanation of how these messages could have been changed, I would be very grateful.  Unfortunately, the two computers/hard drives, at both ends of these communications is exist because they have been replaced with laptops.  All I have is this troubling impression that I wish I could counter with a technical explanation any.  It would be very useful.  Thank you.

  PS. These communications were held 3 years ago and I don't know what are the versions of Windows that we use both.  However, I used Windows 98 and the other Windows 2000, if that makes a difference.  Thanks again.

  Cannot find the Preferences/icon window via the toolbar or through other means. To change how cookies are managed for example, need to go in the preferences. Not a problem in the windows version.

• I do not have a button of the Firebox above the window of firefox. have tried to reset as do not have the toolbars. I have a right-click in the toolbar area-no options?

  Tried to add a menu toolbar or a toolbar of bookmarks. No options appear only when I click right in the toolbar area - or not to hide the toolbars. It was suggested to reset firefox by lowering a window by clicking the firefox button in the upper left corner. I don't have such a button. I'm frustrated and going around in circles. Your video on toolbars does not run. Pretend he does, but does nothing. I'm a Firefox user for years without any problem. Browser Firefox has diverted and unable to solve the problem because access is really a challenge. Avast suggested browser cleaning & even though it disappeared temporarily he returned. So I uninstalled Firefox and spent my allegiance to Google Crome. Favorite browser Firefox, however then reinstalled - and here I am. At the present time - not a satisfied customer! I'm running firefox on a Windows 7 operating system. I would try reinstalling but have already imported by bookmarks in Crome - this could be a part of the problem? Shouldn't be, I think.   You were probably in mode full screen, if you had the ability to hide the toolbars in the context menu.
  
  You should also have seen the choice of exit full screen in this context menu.

• Web page does not display the toolbar or dashboard and can not resize screen

  I'm unable to decrease the size of the screen when you use the web to display the toolbar tool and dashboard.  I went through different places to try to find a correction, but I can't find what I did accidentally or what the computer did to cause this problem and how to fix it.  Thank you for your help.

  What application are you when you mention that you "use the web" and can not see the dashboard and toolbar?

  If you use Safari, the menu bar, are you able to click View > actual size?   Otherwise try file > close all windows in Safari.

  Have you restarted the computer?  Many times this will reset all default settings, including the sizes of windows.

  Also, check system preferences > display and make sure that the option "by default to display" is selected for the resolution.

  The resources below will provide additional information on the preferences of the system in general and the display options of Safari in particular.  Your profile says you are using OS X Lion.  These resources are for OS X Lion of the mountains, but they are very similar.

• Could not get the toolbar above the library, develop, etc to show.

  I have a Macbook Pro and recently bought a second larger screen for development.  Everything worked great until last night.  When I open Lightroom on the big screen, I was unable to get the toolbar that allows me to bridge in Photoshop to show.  The toolbar appears on the screen of the laptop when Lightroom is open.   I googled and google and empty is come.  Abandoned in frustration thinking a stop down and opens again today would set.

  In Lightroom 5, Shift-F will switch between 3 different views, including the full screen without menus. Just press shift - f one or two times to scroll through the views in the desired.

  In Lightroom 4 or an earlier version, the shortcut was just 'f' (not the shift key).
