  Hi all

  I recently designed a PDF form with some required fields, which are marked in red as soon as you open the form. However, some Acrobat Reader users first click "highlight fields" in order to see the required fields. Is it possible to set "highlight fields" as a default for this form?

• Problem Chrome print PDF form

  I created 1 page PDF files that contain form fields that my client will expand before distributing to employees, who can choose to print them. When I test print the PDF with the fields completed in DC Acrobat or Reader, everything works perfectly. However, when I print from Chrome with the default settings ('fit to page' is checked), it prints only the first characters in the first two fields, and the other two fields are empty. When I uncheck the "fit to page" option it works and all the field is visible, but the customer is not satisfied with it - they want completely infallible so it can be printed from any browser. They are asking the impossible? I just need to tell them that they should use Acrobat Reader?

  I also have another problem print Safari. The content of the fields is here, but the field gets thrust upward so not in line with the rest of the text.

  I have created many forms that do not have this problem, and I'm going crazy trying to figure out what's different about this one. Here's a link to the file, if someone wants to check.

  This looks like a bug in the PDF of Chrome Viewer. You will notice that the fields get straight cut where the right side of the page would be when 'fit to page' is not selected. You can report bugs in pdfium here: questions - pdfium - PDFium - Google Project Hosting

  Regarding Safari, if she is using the (preview) integrated PDF Viewer, it has bad support for PDF forms and does not attract the fields in the same way that Adobe only with Acrobat/Reader, so there may be differences in the appearances of field.

  Preview has very limited support for PDF form and corrupts actually they (and other PDF files) in a number of ways when he saves them. This corruption is irreversible. I suggest you inform your users that they should not use Preview and use instead Adobe Reader/Acrobat or some other PDF viewers with of enough support for your form.

• How to edit PDF form fields after registration

  I am very new for PDF forms and thought I was getting better.  I'm create forms of Word documents and need to make frequent changes to the PDF form after that I have recorded because I'm still learning.  I thought I read somewhere that you should be able to change the properties of a field after saving a copy, but that did not work.  I forgot to uncheck "Ahmed multi field" and the need to set in my text boxes but I can't change.  I continue to recreate the formula over and over again on the Word doc.

  Save a copy, it is required to change the form when you have distributed the form or registered as a Reader extended PDF. In this case, if you want to add scrolling functionality to a tool to "Prepare the form" field then go in (in DC) to the title of the Toolbox on the right.

  

  On this screen, select the file and click Start. Double-click on the field and go to the 'Options' tab check the appropriate box.

  Yes on the definition of the submit button there is a checkbox for submission sign. Once this is done, choose the settings button just beside and choose sign Dtaa only.

• Data is read for 2 forms, one appears not

  I try to get two boxes of form on the same page APEX.
  
  I created a test page which is a region HTML in which I can enter two text fields, and which also contains a button 'OK '. Simply button re - directs to the same page and filled fields of primary key for the other two blocks with entered values.
  
  There are two areas of form, one in each of the two test tables. These self-extracting simply the record specified by the value of the pk when the page is processed

  Have taken a very old Quark doc and made a PDF form in Acrobat Pro 11 on mac. The customer wants customers to download on their site, complete and return by e-mail using the button "submit". " During the test to myself by sending the PDF in piece form attached e-mail, download and open in Acrobat Reader 11 on pc, form can be filled when the SHIPMENT is selected, first get "No Matches Found", I hit 'OK', but then "any of the specified recipients can not be resolved." That kills it.

  This client is small and never goes down the path to the server to get the answers.

  Yes, Acrobat Standard can enable drive forms, but it does not include the right to use digital signature as Acrobat Pro, but it probably won't be a problem.

  Submission by email might work very well for most users who use desktop Adobe Reader versions, but the client must be prepared to deal with cases where it doesn't, assuming that they even hearing thereon. Providing a fillable version on the screen, but not electronically electronic is a reasonable thing to do.

  We do not like to combine with the PDF we print them or sending them by E-Mail.

  You must understand that there is a big difference between the JS, you might be familiar with (the one used in web pages) and one used in PDF files.

  Although the basic syntax is the same most of the objects and methods are different, as PDF files are fundamentally different from web pages.

  The form data can be copied by exporting it to a file FDF then import this file into the other PDF (assuming that the field names are the same), or it can be done using a script that uses global variables. The latter is more automatic, but may require adjustment of the parameters of the application or using a function of confidence (IE, a feature that is installed on the local computer instead of just in the file itself).

  The first is easier to implement and use, but requires the intervention of the user.

  Yes you can import data to a PDF file from another data file using option "Import data" in Acrobat. AXI supports the .fdf, the .xfdf, the .xfd, .xml and .txt file formats.   How can I remove or disable replication of field value in a PDF form? Say, if you enter the address on a single page, it is duplicated at the address on another page. For some reason whoever created this form, made a mistake of linking to the wrong field. Say so a management office address is bound to the address of the owner.

  With the help of this forum, I now have a simple Workbench process that acts as a Web service to generate a sequence number.

  When it is called by a PDF form it reads a value in a database, increment the value and then reads the db to return the value incremented to the form.

  It works fine, but now I need something else: I have about 60 forms and each will have its own sequence.

  The way I see what I have to do is:

  -include a new column in the db table to store the IDs forms (I already did).

  -modify the SQL statements to include the number of Ref form as a parameter of a WHERE clause (I already did).

  and...

  -Send the Ref form number from the PDF file during the call to the web service. = > I have not yet figured out how do.

  -receive this Ref number in the workbench to use as a parameter in the WHERE clause.

  Please could someone help me out here?   Or point to a few examples online that I could use as a guide?

  Will I receive the news of the PDF in the form of XML file and extract the info from its structure?

  Any variables created within a process are accessible by all of the finding.

  You don't need to associate the value through the extra activity.

  for example you can directly use the value of the variable in the SQL activity to increment & get the next number in the sequence.

  Note that you must not even two activities SQL to do. A single SQL activity can execute multiple SQL queries.

  I have a PDF form that one of our employees has to be completed on a regular basis.

  There is a 'product' - text field, which is present on the form several times, which will contain the same information.

  From now on, my colleague has fill all these these one by one manually. But with the copy - paste, it doesn't take more than a few seconds.

  However, to facilitate work a little, I want to it to be able to simply fill out one of the fields (can be a specific, must not be dynamic) and all the other 'product' - fields automatically takes the value of the field of this first.

  How can I accomplish this?

  I noted the possibility of JavaScript controls.

  I am familiar with basic JavaScript, however never used it for PDF files.

  Any help and pointers would be appreciated.

  This isn't a problem with script. Just give each field of the same name. Once the field names are the same, a change in one will be to another. For some reason that it does not work with standard HTML forms, probably the reason why you ask.

  You talk about the tab order? If Yes, go to Edit - Preferences - forms and make sure the box "Automatically adjust tab order when changing fields" is NOT checked.
