  This happens usually when your source files are
  not compatible with Movie Maker. Best bet would be
  be to convert video files to WMV format
  before you import into Movie Maker.

  Movie Maker has problems with the .mpg files... best bet would be
  to convert the .mpg files before importing the .wmv format.

  Several formats are apparently compatible with
  Movie Maker, but the most reliable choices are:

  Photos - bmp
  Video - wmv or dv - avi

  You have to consider where to store images and catalogs as well as your backup procedure.

  Your photos and catalogs are now on your laptop.

  You can move your photos from wihin the Organizer files: use the left in mode files Panel and drag and drop folders (including their subfolders) to the new external drive. This is the same procedure as with the Explorer/finder. This makes the Organizer ensures that the path of the image files is updated in the catalog. You can have the part of your library in your laptop and the other in the external hard drive.

  You can also move your catalogs on the external hard drive from the Catalog Manager.

  If you want to move the catalogs and photos to Catalog Manager, you can also do so safely using the backup/restore procedure:

  Using Backup, Restore to move the catalog | Organizer | Elements 6 or later version

  About backups: you can use the built-in backup method or an external one as your cloud solution.

  My advice is to make sure that your catalogs are included in your cloud backup solution AND backups oganizer periodicals. This is the only easy way to restore or move your library and catalogs if your laptop or SMT fail.

• I take many shots and have far too many pictures of the development.

  In Firefox 6, the default value is 256 in Network.http.Max - connections, in 8 Firefox desktop on Windows, the default value has been reduced from 48 due to this bug , after the bug is fixed connections is 256 by default again.

  I had found this triple citing worked, but not for the media. Therefore, I used the Convertto-JSON with quotes to give me the correct output. I does only once because I use the string over and over again using variables instead of some mandatory parameters. NOTE: one line, runs the command that results from what is needed.

  I got LR for about 3 months. I bought $ 90 books. I'm so confused. I have 12 000 images on an external hard drive. I can import the elements and LR and do what I want with them... My problem is the following. I down load the photos with LR on my Ext. hrd. Dr. I put them in a subfolder called 'all THE NEWS PHOTOS. I keep a similar folder in the room light in order to import them in and then work with them. When I finished with the photos to organize my folder on LR called all THE NEWS PHOTOS to their own records is of course empty.  When I return to my external hard drive I always find pictures in this subfolder called all THE NEW PHOTOS. Does this mean I need to change the two external annd LR my hard drive? I tried to synchronize the two discs, but I still have a complete hard disk external. Am I supposed to put LR on my external hard drive? Thank you for your kind attention. If it is difficult to explain simply tell me a point somewhere.

  I went to about: config and browser.newtab.url and it is on: newtab but there are several lines of text changed under them and I'm afraid to change.

  MY PROBLEM IS SOLVED! I returned the comments: config page fact research newtab and entered in each row and right click and press "reset". One of them had the problem because NOW everything is back to the way it is supposed to be!
