It should be simple, but I can't remember how

Hi all

I have an ActiveX control in sprite1 where I will read data continuously to the Director

XC = Sprite (1). XCoord
YC = Sprite (1). YCoord

What I want to do is to put the xc yc numbers one under the other in a member of text field. As the control (continuous data sprite (1) RSS I guess some kind of repeated loop is necessary). Also sometimes the xc and yc correspond to 0. Any idea hwo do this?

Thank you very much for any answer

do not repeat loop... to put the code in a frame on enterFrame script or create a timeout object or use on low... I'll give you an example of code that uses a timeout object in a script of behavior:

-fix this script behaviour on the text member that will be displayed
-the data value of the ActiveX control

property spriteNum, sp, mem
dataSprite property

on beginSprite me
-create references to the sprite and the
-Member to which is attached the script
SP = sprite (spriteNum)
MEM = sp.member
-create a reference to the ActiveX Data sprite
dataSprite = sprite (1)
-create the object timeout (syntax MX2004)
-term 30-30 milliseconds, which is roughly
-How many times the timeout handler is called
dataTMObj = timeOut () .new ("activeXData", 30, #getDataFromActiveX, me)
end

on getDataFromActiveX me
-Use the method. setContentsAfter() of the text member
-to display the data of the ActiveX control.
mem.setContentsAfter (string (dataSprite.XCoord) & RETURN & string (dataSprite.YCoord) & RETURN)
end

on endSprite
If objectP (timeOut ("activeXData")) then timeOut("activeXData").forget)
dataTMObj = 0
end

Note: it's untested code but everything looks syntactically correct.
