  In LR 2.6 when I imported my (RAW) images, I would incorporate keeping the original file number, so I would like to batch rename and convert to DNG, once they were already in my catalog.  As I draw from stock, I keep a meticulous care the registry of what I shoot for purposes of metadata and keywords.  I noticed that when I upgraded LR 3, my in my existing catalogs/folders, the original file names are gone and just the new personalized name & sequencing appear. Unfortunately, I still have the Word key & metadata tag many images, but the original numbering in the camera is now missing.  With my new whatever I did to preserve the original numbering, is to import, make my keywords/metadata, and then rename a batch.  However, having to go back is pain, when in the former is LR was easier.  Maybe someone out there knows how to keep both.  It's just easier to check my notes when I have the original of the image number.  Any tips/ideas/suggestions?

  I added a sequence number 4 digits name of the file in the drop creation dialog box, but the final file name change comes after it in the final process of "Save for Web" to export...

  Create blank document that is called Untitled-1.

  Start recording.

  Go to save for Web.

  Choose the desired settings and click Save.

  Navigate to the folder you want and click Save. Let the name of file Untitled - 1.jpg.

  The next thing happen very often:

  I can't rename a file or folder. It is not the permissions. It's allways explorer.exe locks the file. Logging and turn it on again solve the problem most of the time, so I can remove/rename the file Explorer. In cases where this does not work I opening of session and closing session again, open a cmd.exe shell and remove the file without problem.

  The types of files are .wma, .wmv, .mp3, .avi .jpg etc. all types of typical media files + a few others.

  If the source of the problem is continuation of behavior:
  Vista explorer.exe opens the file for read the news there, like extif of information in files .jpg, like mp3-ID3-tag, etc etc.
  Can we prevent the explorer.exe to open these files for playback and the verification of the information? Win XP, one way to solve it (partially) which was to unregister the shmedia.dll, in Vista, it seems to be "" wmploc. "." DLL", but I prefer first an email of confirmation.

  We are starting to use the customization more and would like to have names begin with a capital letter, regardless of what that user input in a form.

  I thought that there was a rule to update that can be configured for this type of function, but now can not remember how to set up this rule in E10.  Someone at - it a readily available way?

  It is impossible, if the text is underlined.

  But it is possible for the text and the outline of the text via script (don't forget that the selected text is only filled with no effects or stroke)

• How to keep the titles and names of events when importing from iPhoto?

  I have 17,000 photos and you want to migrate from iPhoto to LR. Some of them have titles I assigned in iPhoto. Other events, which I'd love to keep the names. This information is really important for me, because it contains a lot of travel since the origins of the photos.
