MAF: Addition of the Cordova.Dialogue Plugin "CDVNotifications".

Hello Oracle Community:

If I understand the MAF sta ck is no longer ships with the Cordova.Dialogues plugin called "CDVNotistories" (see previous Discussion Forum Thread HERE)

That is why any programmatic attempt to popup a message using the container ADFMF to invokeContainerJavaScriptFunction using the navigator.notification.alert method will fail to run.

Use case: I need to display the confirmation that users are connected successfully.  Here's how I did it in the ADF Mobile.

() AdfmfContainerUtilities.invokeContainerJavaScriptFunction

"CustomLogin.phone", "navigator.notification.alert."

(New Object() {"successful connection.."});

ASK:

Implementation of an IOS directories are the files .h & ".m" to place in If the .h, .js files ".m" are not in the right directory I can not 'Add' the plugin in JDev.

I spent the time to research in the Oracle documentation on the subject.  Some of the links that I've referenced are:

Hi @,TreeStrepek,

having the Dialogs Cordova Plugin working in the MAF 2.1.2 is trivial. Given that the MAF has full support for plugins to Cordova, it is very easy to integrate.

You must follow the steps thees:

1. Locate the source Cordova Plugin Dialogs: the source code is provided with the MAF extension. You can find it at [JDEVELOPER_HOME]/jdev/extensions/oracle.maf/CordovaPlugins

2 source plugin copy of your MAF project: this step is optional.

3. Add the plugin in "maf - application.xml": open the tab "Plugins". In "Additional Plugins", click on "+" button and navigate to the location of the source code of the plugin.

Navigation.notification is now available to use. Now your code will work:

() AdfmfContainerUtilities.invokeContainerJavaScriptFunction

"CustomLogin.phone", "navigator.notification.alert."

(New Object() {"successful connection.."});

I have an almost brand new Mac 10.7.5. Downloaded Firefox very well. But a lot of pages (not all) gives me a popup saying that additional plugins are required to display all of the content. Your list of plugins does not display the Flash plugin, which is used by many Web sites, so perhaps it comes of this plugin.

  • Compilation of a Lightroom Plugin and how to add to the official Adobe Plugins Site?

I hope I am in the right place.

I worked on a plugin for Lightroom, developed on LR 5.6, using the SDK 5

I'm at the point I would compile the plugin for the distribution and asks the voice of experience:

    (a) what version of the compiler to use LUA. 5.1.4 I saw mentioned in various places, but do not know if it is "new".

    (b) switches/configurations, I need for maximum compatibility between both OSX and Win. Provide an update file (for all) seems best for me, if possible.

    (c) any ways to maximize compatibility with older versions of LR. Obviously preferable to focus on current versions, but if it's simple enough to include older versions so why not not.

    (d) any other experiences to avoid!

What I understand, it is better to compile 32-bit LUA, because it will work on 32-bit and 64-bit OS

In ADDITION, it may just be a link, but I'm having trouble finding where to add the plugin on the official Adobe site. Google seaches for things like "adobe lightroom plugin" do not seem to end up where I need to be. I don't know there is a registration page, only I could not find it... probably be dumb, wouldn't be the first time...

I used 32-bit "LUAC/Luhe"5.1.4 for LR 3-6, first on Windows 7 than OS X without problem.  I can't remember where I got it from.

No switch; a typical call looks like:

    (c) any ways to maximize compatibility with older versions of LR. Obviously preferable to focus on current versions, but if it's simple enough to include older versions so why not not.

Creative modules Cloud site is here: https://creative.adobe.com/addons. ( Merchants to change these names over the years: extensions, plug-ins, snap-ins, modules,.)

However, since Adobe replaced their 'classic' with the Add-ons site Exchange, I don't know anyone here who has successfully published a true LR plugin (as opposed to presets beams) and made easy for users to download and install. You can find the experience of others in discussions in this forum.  Almost all of the widely used plugins my knowledge to avoid the Add-ons site. But if you try it and it works, thanks for posting your experience and your recipe here.

  • Do I need the Adobe RAW plugin?

I recently downloaded Lightroom (current version). Photographer friends tell me that I need the "Adobe RAW Plugin" to process my RAW files before using Lightroom - but they use Photoshop Lightroom not. As I read the RAW page, it seems that this feature is native in Lightroom and I don't need a separate application? I am able to open my RAW files in Lightroom and treat them. Is there a reason I don't want to use the RAW plugin too? First? Instead? I'm confused.

This aspect causes a lot of confusion.

    • Lightroom can be used alone to manage, modify / adjust and print / export versions processed photos.
    • LR (in general) can adjust the appearance of a photo, but cannot change the content of a photo.
    • Change the photo, LR so can't do, can be outsourced to another (external) image editing program.
    • Photoshop is an example of an external editor, but there are other alternatives.
    • LR can talk either directly and "classically" a program Editor (first making a standard TIFF file for this to work and reading and then later in some changes were recorded in this)-ACR does not (completely irrelevant for this scenario);
    • OR another scenario is for LR to work with Photoshop in particular, offering few additional working methods (Adobe owner). This option is based on PS and Adobe Camera Raw, being present, in versions that are at least contemporary with LR.
    • When LR detects that this is the case, he adopts as a default method for external mounting.
    • When LR detects that this isn't the case, it greys options - for individual images: Edit in PS as smart object, or for multiple images: Edit in PS as layers / Photomerge / HDR. And he then uses only the direct method, in which ACR is not involved. Photoshop is used then not differently would have another program.
    • ACR is installed automatically with Photoshop and can be upgraded later to the more recent drafts within the PS: only up to a point, within this specific 'generation' of PS.
    • Once the PS goes to a new 'generation', then it would eventually be required to qualify for all newer versions of ACR. Also, therefore, to return to par with the all-new 'generation' of LR and once again enjoy the range of work for this partnership options.
    • The composition of the creative cloud keeps everything functioning optimally, while keeping up to date together.
  • Numeric keypad is not working properly with the Adobe Reader Plugin

    Greetings;

I had this strange problem with several workstations where the numeric keypad does not work correctly when you open a PDF file via the web browser. Things, I tested and noted:

-Regardless of the State of the numlock (or disable) keys act as if NUMLOCK is off. Based on 9 and 3 will cause the page up and page down respectively. Striking at 7-4 will cause beginning and end to occur etc. 0 creates the ~ while the symbol of the keys work as expected.

-The numeric keypad works on other programs. The numeric keypad works even in the same browser, you opened the PDF file but not in the actual form.

-The numeric keypad works if you save and open the same PDF file in Adobe Reader, but does not work with the plugin.

-Seems not to matter of this PDF it is, regardless of who seem to have made it (I used PDF files from the DMV and other sites of the Government for tests). The problem persists despite everything.

-It doesn't seem to matter what browser you use. I saw this happen to IE10, IE11 (32 or 64-bit), and Chrome. I have tried Firefox, but I imagine that the problem will be the same if you are using the Adobe Reader Plugin.

-It does not matter what version of the player. I saw the same problem with drive DC 10 and 11.

-J' ran these without any add-ons or plug-ins and the problem persists.

-J' I reset the browser settings, reset the default values, cleared the cache.

-Disconnect the keyboard and moving to a different USB port allows you to use the numeric keypad as usual, but once you restart the issue will resume.

-Uninstall and reinstall the keyboard driver allows you to use the numeric keypad as usual, but once you restart the issue will resume.

-J' tried the official and generic keyboard drivers.

-J' tried different keyboards from different manufacturers.

-PDF viewer of Chrome or another Viewer PDF/writer will work. But unfortunately, this isn't a solution for us because of the site we access performs a check if the plugin is Adobe Reader. If it's not Adobe Reader, it does not display the PDF file.

-J' have enabled Mode Touch in Reader.

-I was not able to test this on one other operating system other than Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.

-I can put it so the browser opens the PDF file directly to the Adobe Reader app, it's not quite a solution perfect for us because it create additional steps for our users to submit PDF files.

I'm quite lost and would like to get help from the community. Thank you very much.

Fixed my own problem. I answer this with a resolution:

The question is the Protected Mode. You can find this setting in Adobe Reader. Preferences > Security > uncheck Protected Mode. In Adobe Reader X, you can find it under general.

You don't need to restart your system.

  • How to determine the order of the entries in the menu displayed on the controller menu plugin?

I found in the plugin Resource Guide.pdf:

    -----------------------------

    Int16 PIPriorityProperty 0x70727479L
    ("prty")
Plugin load order. Also used for control
the order in the elements with the same
    name appear in the menus.
    Lower number (including negative
Ones) loading first. If NULL, the default value is
    zero.

    -----------------------------

Now, I have a few plugins, but I saw that in the same category, the menu items are indicated by order lexicographically (A:up Z:down), but not by their priority properties. In addition, each category is organized by lexicographic order of the name now. This means, if I change the name of plugin to another language, order will be different, it's inconvenient for users. Fixed what I could do to get an order? Any ideas will be appreciated.

You can get 2 identical names by mistake, with versions of a plugin, or features that overlap (such as alternative file formats).

No, there is no way to get an absolute positioning of elements of a plugin menu.

And the reference to the suites makes no sense.

  • Need a visual cue for the status of Plugins

Need a visual cue for the status of Plugins:

    . . . "Ask to activate" - these are light gray - it's good

. . . "Always enable" - should be in light green

. . . 'Never turn on' - should be in red light - it currently goes to a slightly darker shade of grey

Be able to sort them based on the State

The above would make it easier to verify that they are the way you want

There is only a ' true/false' = active tribute to work with, so you cannot always distinguish between activate and ask to activate.

OK, in this case we will remove the plugin manually:

    • First enter about: config in the address bar of firefox (confirmed the message information where it appears) and search for the preference named plugin.expose_full_path. Double-click it and change its value to true.
    • then enter topic: plugins in the location bar, there should be a file-full path shown next to the addon adcrobat obsolete
    • Use windows Explorer to navigate to this path and delete the file nppdf32.dll
