merging documents

Does anyone know how to merge documents and edit documents to PDF using Adobe Reader DC (Document Cloud).  I want to try to do without having some type of subscription.  When I followed the instructions, everything that appears under the 'combine files' is a reference to subscribe to a certain type of program Acrobat PRO.  The instructions to do this are left blank (someone by the name of Donna Baker has written an article about it, but when you click them, nothing happens, and there is no arrow game click on).  I hope that avoid buying a subscription to do this.  Thank you

    Pages ' 09 v4.3 would you allow to copy/paste or drag and drop the photos to a document in another document for effective merging of documents. It would also allow access to external Pages documents.

    In the v5.6.1, Pages you can select the text of the paragraph of a document of dealer (not objects) and simply drag and drop the selection anywhere in the recipient document. You can click on a thumbnail in the donor document and paste it into the Gallery of thumbnails of the recipient document. For example, my paper receiver has a unique miniature with partial text on this page. When I copy/paste the thumbnail of the document of the donor, it will fill the remaining page of the recipient document and start a new page in the same section, after the first page is filled. If the donor paragraph style is different from that of the beneficiary style, so think about using paste them and the Style of game. There is no drag and drop miniature relief between donor and recipients documents.

    If you create a blank section in your document recipient, select and then copy/paste a thumbnail of the document from donors, the content of this text is inserted into a text box by default new, with overflow of text in the center of your page in the recipient section. It departs with the behavior of clause 2, and type of paste operation does not change the result. In my view, it should paste the contents of the donors page in the body of the document of the beneficiary section - without a text box. One solution is to select the blank section of the recipient document thumbnail, and then drag on and drop a selection of text in the ordering document.

    V5.6.1 pages will make you work more merging documents.

    I write a MS Word document with contributions from several authors and publishers. I'm new Applescript, but I invested a few days now trying to figure out how to create an application that should merge several word documents. I use Microsoft Word for Mac Version 15.15 on a Mid 2011 iMac OS X El Capitan 10.11.12 running. I'm hung up on how to use the merge command in the Script Editor. From only two documents, I write things like:

                  tell application "Microsoft Word"

    name of the file Open ((path to the folder on the desktop) & "TestingMerge.docx") as string

    myMerge of name of the file to Merge the value ((path to the folder on the desktop) & "TestingMerge2.docx") as string

                  end say

    I get an error message:

    error "Microsoft Word has been an error: can not continue merger." number-1708

    I did a lot of variations on this general topic, but just don't know how to use the command merge correctly or there is a weird bug that broke this command. I looked everywhere for code applescript from someone who has used the merge command to see how the syntax and format is supposed to look like, but I have not found anything.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    You must specify a document open and a file with the command merge path.

    In the Microsoft WordApplescript dictionary:

    fusion v : merges the changes marked with revision of one document to the other marks.

    Merge document

    file name text: the path and the name of the document to merge with this document.

    a file1 set to (path to the folder on the desktop as text) & "TestingMerge.docx".

    the value File2 (path to the folder on the desktop as text) & "TestingMerge2.docx".

    Tell application "Microsoft Word"

    the value of thisDoc1 to open the file name file1

  • Merge document and merge Word using Excel data does not display the result required in the merged document.

    I have created a merge document and mail merge in word using an excel sheet spread as a data source.  Initially, no sign of £ showed in the document among other formatting problems.  I have (finally) found help explaining that I should use MS Excel via a DDE data sheets - I tried this but it seems to corrupt the data so that the column that contains say '1 names' contains "price data", "address" line contains the data of 'comments', making the e-mail merge nonsense.

    If you use an alternative data source is CBO or something all NFL results (which wasn't shown on the worksheet) appear in the mail merge '0' both are unacceptable.

    Surely I'm not the only person to meet these challenges is the software never tested before being sold where is the help manual, I tried to use the online help but will not accept my product key.  All solutions provide the most basic assistance but my documents are fairly complex something computers should be good.  I lost most of today on this.  Sometimes I think it would be faster to type these longhand things than to use a Microsoft product.

    I just restarted. No difference, except that I have the time to see things from 'fusion of documents' box.

    A bug. I saved as IDML then re-imported. Worked a bit, but there is a very specific bug. When you insert variables in different layers (french, English), you cannot merge document if you are not on a particular provision by clicking on merge...

    Weird. I had to put all the variable on the same layer and have two different model, one for variables of English and the other for the french. So 2 different mailing files instead of one (and play with layers to export)

    What is an actual field or just a piece of static text somewhere? Whatever it is, you can't do this using the Split Document command. You will need to use a script custom read the value of this 'field' and use it during extraction of pages in the file.

    Hello, I hope someone can help. I am fairly new to InDesign, but a lot of learning.  I create a directory the about 200 pages (around 2800 records merged from .csv in InDesign 6). Everything works fine with the merger, except generating page numbers.  I tried to add page at the bottom of the page number to the master BEFORE merging. But if I do this, it greys on the 'multiple records per page' option when you try to run the data merge (using 'create a merged Document').  So, I tried to add the page number to the A-master after you HAVE created the merged document, but the page number does not appear on the pages.  There must be a way to do it, can anyone help?

    (FYI - to generate the automatic page numbering, I go to the Page current-markers-character number special Type-Insert and put that in a field of text at the bottom of the page.)  Thanks in advance. )

    I don't see a page number in the mask of law and all of your pages are pages on the right.

    When I create a merged document, the images on the master pages seem to lose their quality, any thoughts why? Is there anyway I can stop that.

    It sounds like the screen preview on the new merged document is set to standard. The images are fine, you have just a little overview of res. Who works up to high quality. View > display performance > high quality screen

    When I create a document merged with multiple records, items are usually right, but the problem is the title or header of the page is usually also replicated in each line.

    Have several pages of a legal document on paper 8.5 "x 11", I would like to scan the whole (using a HP Officejet Pro) in a single file.  Since this scanner can accept that a single page by scan, I have need to merge several analysis files (jpeg, tiff, etc.). I use Windows Fax Scan & software.

    Hey guys

    When you merge several PDF Acrobat DC creates bookmarks for each original file but the bookmarks different as standard bookmarks, you can create by clicking on 'Add bookmark' in the navigation bar.

    When you add other documents that already merged, the look of the modification of bookmars for the newly merged to the standard pdf looks like.

    As shown in the picture below, the first 4 documents have been merged in a single step with the merge tool and one more has been added with the "Page management" tool

    Can someone explain the difference between the two types of bookmarks and how to homogenise them?

    I would like to send a custom for the signature document. Each document would require 2 signatures.

    I am able to work out how to distribute to each person for their signature, however it is possible to use a merge and mail for the "customization" process uses Word or Acrobat, to ensure that the appropriate recipient receives their agreement?

    To work around the problem, you can use MegaSign function with which you can send the same document up to 300 recipients (supplied by upload of a CSV file which their information). By default, it can have a signature and others like signature countersignature of sender (which is always fixed). Here is the link for reference:
