Move the 'concurrent processing server' app server-to-Server DB
Hello Experts,
Kindly, I have to know hOE to move 'competitor Manager' of the App server at DB server.
# Environment:
Application version: 12.1.3
The basic version: 11 GR 2
Operating system: Solaris 10 Sparc x 64
Thank you
Hello
A way to do it is to clone the application layer to the database server, run adcfgclone and enable the service only of batch processing.
On the current application layer, change the context file and the batch of treatment to the value disabled and run the automatic configuration.
Kind regards
Bashar

Foglight can monitor the WebSphere Process Server?
You have experience in the monitoring of IBM products like WebSphere Process Server WebSphere Application Server-based? What about Portal Server?
Thank you.
Technically the Java agent monitors the Websphere server and whatever it is current running on a Websphere server support.
We have customers using the agent Java for trade and Portal Server, I have not personally tested with the bailiff, but if it's a version supported Websphere server it should work.
A couple of things I've seen with Logon/trade:
1. in some cases, there is a need to play with the settings of the instrumentation to exclude classes called many be instrumented.
2 transformation of URL is necessary because the URLS have parameters embedded in them, which makes the demand model are growing very fast.
An example of transformation of URLS can be found here

Hope this helps

Move the vCenters SQL Server to different hardware
I have two clusters. An AMD and another is Intel. We are trying to remove the blades from AMD, but I get to a point where I must pass the SQL VM that hosts the vCenter DB.
How would I be able to do it from vcenter will be down, because SQL server needs to be powered off to move from AMD to Intel? I guess I have to remove the inventory then just connect to a host of Intel directly and re - add inventory?
A better way?

This is probably the simplest and fastest approach

Our it staff moved us from one server to another. Although I did a sync with all my spotted "available offline" files before the move, the change of server name left me with an orphan sync partnership. Is anyway to disconnect this partnership? I have not been able to find a way. Thank you.

Definition of Distributor during the packing process
Hello
Is it possible to define the distribution during the packing process server? When I have an epub I then need to connect to the admin and add it to a specific distributors account until I can generate a link of respect to what epub for this Distributor.
If I add an epub packed to a Distributor, can I still generate links realization to download? What should I use for my "ordersource" for the default distributor?
Thanks for the help.
You cannot create distribution rights in an application for the package, but you can certainly create a tool which combines doing packing request along to ManageDistributionRights calls in any better method fits your business processes. For documentation on calls, see the technical reference. For example, calls see the API Inspector of the administration console. For the code example, take a look at the source of java for UploadTest and DistribTool.

What is the best way to move the data from the app and Server data structures?
Hi guys,.
I developed my application locally with Apex 4.2 and Oracle 11 g XE on Windows 7. Not far away, it is time to move the application to a server Oracle Apex. I guess that Exim is the way to go app. But what about the APA tables and data (tables/as 'customer' and 'account' created specially for the application)? I've been using a modeling tool, so I can run a DDL script to create the database server data structures. What is the best way to move the application data on the server? Is it possible to move the structures and data in a single process?
Thank you
KimThere is probably another way to get here, but in Developer SQL, on the navigation tree, expand objects until your table, right-click, and then click EXPORT... you will see all the options. It is a tedious process and it sucks IMO, but yes, it works. This is zero especially because 1) it's a table at a time, 2) If your data model is robust and has constraints and sequences and triggers, then you will need to disable all for the insert and we hope you can re-enable constraints, etc. without hitch (good luck, unless you have only a handful of tables)
I prefer to use the oracle EXP command-line to export an entire schema, then the server target, I use IMP to import the schema. In this way, it is almost true. This makes the dirty life if you develop multiple applications in a single schema, and I felt pain - however - it is much easier to drop the tables and other objects is to create them! (thus, even if the process of EXP/IMP moved more than you wanted to "move".. blow everything you don't want on the target after the fact...)
You can use method datapump oracle too.
If not, what can be done, IF you have access to both servers of your instance of SQL developer (or if you can tnsping both already from the command line, you can use SQL * MORE), is to run a script that will identify the objects of your applications apex (usually by the prefix for the names of objects, such as % EBA_PROJ_ etc.) and do all the manual work for you. I've created a script that does just that so that I can pass data from dev to prod servers on a dblink. It is difficult because of the order that must be executed to disable constraints and then turn it back on and of course, more complicated if don't always precede you ALL your "objects demand '... (tables, views, triggers, sequences, functions, procs, indexes, etc.)

move the apps on new server level
Hi allHere we have 2 node Installation
node 1: apps + db (db + cm)
node 2: applications (web + forms)
requirement is that we want to move the node 2 to new server os team wants to do an interview on node 2.
is it possible to move only the node 2 (web + forms) again thanks to n sync server clone faster with existing and node cm db or we must go entire installation to new servers
Links n MOS doc ID much appreciated
versions:
apps: 11.5.9
DB: 9.2.0.8
OS: RHEL 4
Thank you
Hafiz
Yes it is possible and all you need to do is the following (you need not move node 1):
-Install the operating system on the new server + pre - req packages and OS software
-Preclone run on node 2
-Termination of the application on node 2 and copy the files to the new node
-Postclone run on the new node
-Clean up FND_NODES and run the automatic configuration

Move the data files on the standby server without moving primary Oracle 11 g r2
Hi all
Oracle 11g 2 with EBS 11.5.0.2 version.
The size of one of the mounting points on the standby is full and I'm going through one of the data files to another mount point without making any changes to the primary level.

1. you must close the database pending.
2 copy the file that you want to move to the different mount point using the OS commands.
3. Mount the standby database.
4 rename the data through database level. Make sure that the standby_file_management is set to MANUAL
5. start the MRP on the standby database. Please do not use more than one response to the thread ID. Because you created this thread with ID 903150, I propose to answer with the same ID, not the ID of the other.

Move the "Data Service" volume ZFS on OSX Server
Hi allI would like to move all the data service to a ZFS volume on a Mavericks OSX Server. This option can be found here:
Server.app-> your server-> settings
and is called "Data Service". As someone has already done this? It works or what I have to do a manual config, whenever the server restarts?Hi all
So I'll answer my own question. The answer is no, in fact, the app Server does not detect even the zfs volume. I also try to cheat and to synchronize the/Library/Server volume ZFS and softlink then the original file to the copy of the zfs volume, but App Server would no longer work.
Then Mac OS x still don't like ZFS much.
I reformatted the drive with appleRAID, and then I could move everything using the button in the application. I noticed that this original file is still there. If it's really just an arrangement written somewhere. Anyone know where this parameter is written? Maybe I could get data on the ZFS drive sync and write this setting by hand.

Move the database on the DSO from one server to the other in AIX
Hello
We have a project to move a Database (11.2.0.2) in ASM (stand-alone IM 11.2.0.4) in AIX. I followed the steps, but it failed.
1. on the source server, I stop the database and removed the data DISKGROUP. I also took the diskgroup backup metadata before going down it.
2 storage team has removed the mapping of the discs and they remapped to the new server. However, the names of disks have changed
Note: There is no oracleasm and the drive string used is/dev/rhdisk *. The number of disk changed in the new server. However, we have renamed these discs.3 installed GI in silent mode with the "software only" option and then set up AP using roothas.pl.
4. install Oracle database on the same level of patch from the source.
5 ASM set up using a small new disc using ASMCA in silent mode.
6. after the configuration of ASM, I don't see the Diskgroup database, but I see the drives as CANDIDATE disks.
7. now, I restored the metadata from backup I took in the first step.
8 Diskgroup appears and mounted. However, there is no data. All the data disappeared.
Please can anyone suggest what I missed? Support for Oracle is not clear in its instructions.
It's test database, so we could afford to lose the data. We cannot follow duplicate RMAN that our Production database is very large, and all backups are in bands. We also long downtime. Therefore, the only option we have is to physically move the LUNS.
In my opinion, ASM has not read the header information of disk that LUNS are mapped before ASM is configured and consider them as CANDIDATE disks. Please specify.
Thank you
Vikas
ASM devices that belong to a disk group contain the header special ASM data, that ASM uses to identify the disks. The path of unity or the name of the device as such is irrelevant. ASM must know the chain drive in order to locate the devices. I do not know what has been mapped or put in correspondence, but if the disks appear as candidate ASM disks, then information should have been erased in the process.
Why not simply create a full database backup using RMAN and then restore and recover the database on the new server? Provided that the new server has the same software and ASM starts, this should be easy.

Move the data files in a server
Hello
I am faced with the situation that a customer needs to move their 10 g-server instance, i.e. to a different disk subsystem, and then a similar movement will be on the 11g on the same server instance. The problem is that the downtime on the instances should be minimized.
My plan is (for a tablespace at a time):
* make the tablespace read only
* Copy data files to the new location
* offline tablespace
* alter tablespace rename datafile 'original file name' to 'new file name ";
on the line the tablespace read write
and when it is, I will continue with the journal, tablespace and control files temporary.
Now to the twist and my question: the customer has separate tablespaces for tables and indexes.
My concern is what is happening to the index if the tablespace containing these are read-only, and storage with the tables are read/write? The transaction fails, because the index cannot be updated, or the index will become damaged?
Am I better off marking the tables and index tablespaces read only at the same time, ensure the integrity of the database? Or is there a completely different and way better to travel?
The system is running on a Redhat server.
