After you have installed Adobe Photoshop CC 2015 (32-bit) on Windows 7, entries for Photoshop in the object model viewer (OMV) were missing.

I checked a few properties before the update to 2015 CC - so I'm 100% sure that Photoshop was in the list just before the update.

How to make the entries in the Photoshop object model in the list (I have a 2 or 3 versions, but they have all disappeared from the list when installing CC2015)?

Attached is the required omv.xml file for Photoshop CC 2015. Here are the steps to install manually. I will work with our team of the installer for this in future versions of Photoshop CC 2015.

    On mac is the folder "/ Library/Application Support/Adobe/script dictionaries CC /" and on windows, it's probably "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe\Scripting CC\ dictionaries.

On the use of the mac Finder to go-> go to folder and make sure you are in the library of the system and NOT the user library.

If you have a photoshop file keep it, it's probably an older version as CC 2014.

    Make a folder "Photoshop" 2015

Drop the omv.xml in there and restart the ESTK.

  • Which Version of object model use?

I am new to InDesign, especially to ExtendScript scripts. When you view the ExtendScript object model API, I was surprised to see that there are dozens of different versions of the API for the same version of CC2014, and that it was not an option for older versions of CC, for example 5 - 5.5 (which a lot of people still use). What is the problem with all these versions and one who would be best to set up backward compatibility? I am trying to write a script that will support if all goes well 5 InDesign - InDesign nc6. Any suggestions?

  • Script InDesign object model

    Hello

Is there some reference documents that provide detailed information about the object model Indesign as exposed to the interface script (javascript)?

I did quite scripts in Illustrator while I was looking for the equivalent of Indesign in this document

    http://wwwimages.Adobe.com/www.Adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/DevNet/PDF/Illustrator/Scrip ting/illustrator_scripting_reference_javascript_cs5.pdf

I saw this document but it seems a bit sparse (compared to illustrator)

    http://wwwimages.Adobe.com/www.Adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/products/InDesign/PDFs/InDes ignCS5_ScriptingGuide_JS.pdf

Of course, they are different applications, but I was hoping sort that there is more information for Indesign scripts.

In particular, I'm looking for an idea on how to work effectively or to browse the structure of an indesign document by using code.

Find specific things by type appears out of the picture because after the reflection of object on all page elements in an indesign document, nothing seems to have a property "type."

In my illustrator scripts I was able to place things in illustrator layers, name arbitrary pageitems and then later go find and manipulate via the script. Is not as clear how to do this in a context of indesign.

One of the advantages of this are that in illustrator, I was able to use frames of texts related to hold the variable data and read them later via scripts. The document becomes the database. And I could create any number of arbitrary "variables" in the document outside the Whiteboard. Wondering how to do this kind of stuff with indesign, I can do model documents that are managed by scriptings engine and Forms UI that I create.

Is there some reference documents that provide detailed information about the object model Indesign as exposed to the interface script (javascript)?

Jongware has produced a reference to HTML and CHM format from the ESTK OMV XML, and it is precious:

See http://jongware.com/idjshelp.html or in format HTML exploded at http://jongware.mit.edu/idcs5js/.

In general we could iterate on the type of object you want, for example iterates through app.activeDocument.textFrames.

    and no more .pageItems.

In my illustrator scripts I was able to place things in illustrator layers, name arbitrary pageitems and then later go find and manipulate via the script. Is not as clear how to do this in a context of indesign.

It is not clear to me how you're stuck. You can use . itemByName() to refer to an element by its name, and also the title of the script may be useful for this. Or, of course, you can store the items (for example, references to them) in an array or an object of your choice.

One of the advantages of this are that in illustrator, I was able to use frames of texts related to hold the variable data and read them later via scripts.

You can use the script for this label property.

Maybe, you could give an example more concrete about how you're stuck, because it is not really clear to me your question...

  • Addition of a 3D object model

OK, I understand how to create an object in the shape of doughnut in 3D using Illustrator CS4. Now... I want to add a pattern to it.

I'm having a lot of trouble with that. It's a zebra pattern. I created a circle. Then make a hole in it. Then I "added" the reason Zebra using the pathfinder. But it has deleted the circular edges of the "donut", so when I use the 3D effect on it... Forms turns strange. Any ideas? Thank you!

Make the model a symbol and then when you apply the 3D, click the veneer and map the symbol to donut surfaces

  • There we have to use AIA instead of any other common object model

    Hi all

Someone can there, we have to use AIA instead of the other models? whts the diff between integration using SOA with AIA?

    Thank you
    RA

    Hello Ra,
AIA is not canonical model about. This is your path to SOA and Foundation pack offers best practices, of the main components and [SOA governance framework | http://blogs.oracle.com/aia/2009/03/soa_content_and_technical_gove.html]. AIA EBO (Enterprise Business Objects) are canonical representation based on industry standards. • Overview of object models disappeared

Hello, I have problems with preview my object styles in the style of the object manager.  It is used to make me see the Legend/button styles and modify as needed.  Now, there is no preview in the "Overview of Styles" box.  Any ideas how can I fix?

Preview is not really very good either. Understand your frustration: have you tried to restart Captivate, or even the system? If that does not work, try to empty the cache memory as well. Maybe you have to clean the preferences, there is a file in the tools subfolder under the Captivate installation folder. ATTENTION: This means that you lose some customization:

Make sure the time is correct when you promote your domain controller.  If it isn't, you can then run into issues when your time is radically different than when first joined to the domain.

  • ESTK object model viewer has no documentation!

I can't find the relevant information on Indesign, Incopy and idserver script objects.

    Fits in the Viewer:

    2011.03.22 08.52.55 002.jpg

    (and nothing else)

    my current setup:

I installed ESTK 3.5 directly on my dev machine, for example download estk of (http://www.adobe.com/devnet/scripting.html)

+ It patched to 3.5.1 (available from the same web page).

So far, I have not installed Indesign because it's a dev machine. I wonder if it is a question.

How can I install the missing documentation?

N ° the ESTK is dynamically loaded from apps installed on your system.

It might be possible to save the xml files to the correct locations and ESTK can load that. I have never tried.

Whatever it is, Jongware help files are the best way to browse the DOM...

I removed the plugin files and started again, and the app loaded but no Panel.

I did a reinstall at this point and they have reinstalled.

I'm not through the plugins one by one to see which one was at fault - but of course, one of them was corrupt.
