  I want to get the Oracle certification, during my study, I knew there are three levels: OCA, OCP, OCM
  
  I work more on developing XML applications however PL - SQL knowledge is required:
  Certifications (OCA) Oracle path I choose: IZ0-047 (Oracle database SQL Expert), IZ0-051(Oracle Database 11g: SQL Fundamentals I) on both what is best. that beifits made one offer on the other.
  
  Then for PL - SQL, I have the same question, I found 2 papers (program PL/SQL 1Z0-147), (Oracle Database 11g: program with PL/SQL 1Z0-144) what benefits does it offer one on the other.
  
  I've also seen trace direct OCP by writing 3 exams at once, which is a good option, if I do not see in pl - sql advanced paper I reward certificate OCA?

  I am new to the field of DBA. I want to do on Oracle DBA certification

  I'm in a delema either make OCA/OCP 10 g or 11g and also should I have to make 10g certification and update to 11g.

  It was written before 12 c is out, but noted that even after the liberation I propose 11G is the most relevant certification until the number of 12 c production installed is greater.

  I passed the tests OCA and OCP 10g. We have no training $$s so I can't take the a required class to get the official status of OCP.

  No problems.

  Only possible disadvantages could reduce the availability of some of the shorter and cheaper g 10 course that would suit the requirement. Sometimes 11g courses may be accepted for a 10 g OCP DBA, but check first.

  (It doesn't affect you, but to confirm it for other readers, the reverse is not true, 10 g training is not accepted for 11g certification OCP DBA... those with a drive of 10g will go 1z0-042/3 and then 1z0-050 (as you do)).

  bigdelboy is located on the two counts.

  -You don't have to take the exams in this path in any formal succession. You can take the exam 146 before you have your 144 beta test results, but you will not be granted certification until scored 144 beta review (and you did).

  -In addition, 146 review is based on the formation of 11g, but Advanced PL/SQL certification is not version-specific.

• Retirement of 9i DBA OCA, OCP and associate and also 1z0-147 reviews

  This question was not asked for a while, I guess that means the numbers making the followig exams must decrease:
  
  1Z0-007, 1z0-031 1z0 - 032 1z0-033, 1z0-147
  
  I think that there is now a pretty good deal for these retired, assume that the course of the WDP for them ceased. Although vouchers may still be in existence.
  
  I would particularly like to see 1z0-007 and 1z0-147 retired with equivalent review much better and more modern 1z0-051 and 1z0-144 exist. IMHO these could probably be done on the normal noice 3 months.
  
  Although I think 1z0-031 might be ceasd to relatively short maturity, the 1z0-032 case having a longer period would be more useful, as people could be partially in an OCP DBA 9i and unable to complete within 3 months.
  
  IMHO, it would be preferable to remove the first 1z0 - 031, or give a retirement date extended for 1z0-032 and 1z0-033 of at least 6 months.
  
  I guess all this I would 1z0-007 and 1z0-147 retired. IMHO they should have put grass long ago.

  There are people at work with higher OCP 10 g.

  They just got a letter saying to upgrade to OCP 11 g or 12 c from March 1, 2016 to remain active.

  I'm sure that Oracle would recommend they would be upgraded to OCP 12 c.

  But did they can upgrade to 11g or 12 c OCA, OCS or OCE and have always keep assets.

  Certification renewal requirement is not at all associated with specialist certificates.  They expire or affect the OCA, OCP, OCÉ, CMO certifications.  OCS is almost a separate accreditation program managed by a different group within Oracle.

  Specialist certifications are focused on sales and implementation. They can deal with not enough a Director of Oracle database, or the duties of a position of Oracle Certified Expert based on the skills and knowledge of an Oracle database administrator.

  For example, if you have an Oracle9i Database Administrator Certified Associate, professional and Master, simply to get a certification of database in Oracle 11 g or c 12-level associate, professional or Master to keep all your database Oracle9i in Active status Certifications.

  Expert certifications can be maintained in two ways, either by obtaining a subsequent certification at the associate, professional or master level, EITHER by getting Expert certification later corresponding, if available. If you upgrade your Expert certification to a recent version, he keeps only your active Expert certification.

  Extrapolating from the above, if you have a 10g OCP, winning 12 c OCA will satisfy your DBA credentials certification renewal requirements, but win a 12 c ECAS would not.

  Ok.  If you were an 11g OCP (specifically an Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Professional) and had to take the exam 1Z0-060, then you would * also * hold the credential of administrator Certified Professional 12 c Oracle database.  You would not, however, the credentials of the Administrator Certified Associate of 12 c in Oracle database.  If you wish, you can take the exam 1Z0-062 and at that time you would hold all the three powers OCP 11g, 12g OCP and 12 c OCA.  The Oracle certification program does not prevent you to do this.  In fact, I hold all three certifications... but only because I took 1Z0-062 while it was in beta before I took the exam 1Z0-060.  I don't really see a point to come back and win the OCA 12 c, but you can if you wish.

  OCJA certification is not part of the way s/n, so it's not really back going in this direction.  I agree that it is a certification that would normally be the target of the people who had not yet obtained their 12 c OCA, OCP.  I do not think that earn this certification in addition to the OCP 12 you would appear to be younger than you would without it.  That said, if you don't think the themes during the test are those that it would be worth your time to study - you already know or because they are the ones that you do not have and will not - use then further consideration is unnecessary.  I agree that it is a developer certification, and in fact, I have recommended a couple of days at Brandye they be moved to the section "database application development" the test of all the ads rather than the 'Oracle Database 12 c' section.

  I already started to focus on the examination in the creation of a study guide for it. In part I find interesting review because my assistant developer really needs to understand these issues better than it does currently.  I doubt that it is an isolated case. I also use in a real problem to find good sources of materials for a person to learn the information covered in this review. No manual Oracle do cover all of the content of the examination (Concepts covers a bit and the Guide SQL a bit).  I can't find good books on Amazon for people to point.

  In my opinion, it's a problem serious because a developer understand how to perform the tasks assigned to this review should be second nature. Because I can't find resources, I guess now they learn by practice or by mouth-to-a developer highest... who has probably learned by practice.  I remember some of the courses at the College, but that shouldn't be the only developers that newly hatched place can learn these skills.

  What is the difference between ECAS and (OCP or OCS).

  For example, I heard that OCS helps with the language

  Could this be true as ECAS focuses on how to do things.

  OCÉ Doghouse more. These certifications can be more CERT of intermediate or high level certificates. These were specifically developed for the gaps in the certification that did not match our OCA, OCP, hierarchy of the CMO.

  Generally, the CERT of the OCS tend to focus more on implementation. These certificates have been developed for the Oracle PartnerNetwork for areas of certification which specifically serve Oracle partners and qualify them for levels of specialization. These certifications are available for all candidates, but are directed towards members of OPN.

  At the time current Oracle does not offer specific JET / training certificate. We'll need to gauge the demand for it before committing to the effort of creating a certification program.

• Question for OCA 11 g certifications

  I finished the exam 1Z0-007: Intro to SQL 9i back in 2003 and never got round to fill the other cert exams.
  
  My question is, is this still valid review or would be the first review should take place again? The results of the examination expire?
  
  According to me, it is always mentioned as one of the exams, you can fill for this.

  Yes, you very well qualify for the examinations of Certification OCA 11 g. All you have to do is, when registering for the exam of the OCA, which show your SQL Oracle 9i exam details towards the Center Prometric and other details when you passed this exam.

  In truth I am bovvered? ... Well not really (although I'm concerned because I am the owner of the said ACTIVE certification).  The thing is more outdated than an old ram my uncle once sold... a real old firecracker.  However, the principle of the thing is a little interest...

  I almost added a question about this certification to your original on recert requirements thread.  Then I saw the following note in the page 'requirements and process ':

  "You can keep all your types of database credentials (associate, professional, Expert and Master) in State ASSETS by winning a single credential OCA, OCP or CMO in the CURRENT version of Oracle Database certification."

  Based on this statement, you take a certification or 11g OCA/OCP/CMO 12 c will prevent any expert version-specific certifications being expired.

  It is worth noting that the reverse is not true, taking a current CEO of certification does * not * prevent anything either, but an earlier version of this same certification expires.  Really means a lot right now because he communicated there very little specific expert certificates (RAC, performance and Tuning SQL optimization are the only 11g those for example), but it's something to know.
