  Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

  There is a software named "WintoFlash Novicrop". It allows copy of Windows XP I386 folder on a USB key and make it as bootable USB drive.
