• The Capture of Oracle EBS changed Sources

  I'm trying to understand how the process of capture of change happens in the DAC.
  For sources of Siebel, I realized that sometimes on the tables 'image '. And there are a few docs/info on this.
  
  I wonder how this happens in the case of Oracle EBS and other sources. I think that there is no concept of table image with these sources.

  Yes, EBS, PeopleSoft and other sources non-Siebel, the capture of change process is usually based on a form of 'LAST UPDATE DATE' on system tables. It is is usually compared to the "LAST UPDATE DATE" in the DAC for the source and target tables. This can be seen if you watch the Session / for the FULL against INCREMETAL/sessions of workflow. Of course, this process may vary depending on the nature of the source system. I think that some sources who do not have a usable "LAST UPDATED DATE" may require a full extract each time. The best approach would be to go through the vanilla ETL code for FULL versus INCREMENTAL sessions.

• E-mail notification workflow test/troubleshoorting

  1. can you give me advice on how to test or troubleshoot the workflow notification mailer?
  
  I'm trying to get Oracle alert (ALR) working with the sender of the notification. When the sender/listener is down the simultaneous program ends and I can see it 'generated' out. but when I turn on the earpiece of the notification and the mailer, it error "the program finished, return the State-1073741502 code." I'm sure that the sender is not working properly. I installed a free mail server to test this situation and the server is running and successful validation workflow mailer Setup. (Rel 12.1.1 on win32)
  
  2. I can't view the log of the sender of the notification through AOM. Can anyone suggest where to find?
  
  3. BTW, I was hoping I can just jump emails have have alerts notifications of publication as other notifications of workflow, but it does not seem possible. Is it?

  Hi, when Oracle plans to publish RPC5. Anyone has idea about it. We intend to apply the last RPC to our Oracle EBS 12.1.3, so for now RPC4's last straight. Please confirm.

  There is no date is provided for when a new RPC can be released. As you noted, Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.3 + Recommended Patch Collection 4 [RPC4] has been released via Patch 21236633and is currently the latest EBS CPP, released October 21, 2015.

  Applying the RUP is easier than to do an upgrade.

  Oracle EBS 12.1.3 will be supported for a few years (Dec 2016 for assistance first and December 2019 for the support extended).

  If you wish to enjoy some of the new features in 12.2 then you can do the upgrade.

  Looks like you are trying to make a reconciliation process? That is you can have implemented BIAPPS (or something custom) and now I want to check your ETL? If this is the case then it's good enough for a test case - we usually start with senior level (actual numbers for each group of companies, for example), then a subset of other different queries for example as per a level in the hierarchy of the org, by position, dates etc.

  I'm trying, but installation fails with

  You're in for a lot of pain! The webtier components delivered with EBS do compilation/installation on RH7.x without a bit of hacking.

  If you want to try, you can work around this error by updating sysliblist

  for example:

  sed-i of /-ldl - lm - lpthread - c - lirc - lipgo / - ldl - lm - lpthread - c - lirc - lipgo-ldms2 - lrt/g ' sysliblist

  But you will hit the next mistake after that...

  We are in the process of upgrading our EBS Oracle 10g database to 12 c and so below are the steps we took to upgrade the database with dbua 12 c

  We have improved our database 10g of 10.2.0.4 to 10.2.0.5 compatible for the direct 12 c with dbua upgrade

  1 - install the Oracle 12 c software

  2. run the file from Oracle EBS environment that set the ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID, but not ORACLE_BASE for the database that is upgraded

  3 - Go to the ORACLE_HOME\bin 12 c and run. / dbua

  4 - 12 c dbua GUI appeared, but this isn't picking the 10g database in the Source ORACLE_HOME

  What could be the cause and how is - this solve
