Oracle Fusion applications Cloud

Hi all

Is this true that Oracle EBS final and the last version is the R12.2?

Then it will be replaced by merging Application Cloud.

If this is the case, then our work as apps dba is no longer necessary since it will be centrally managed by Oracle

Even the forms/java developer won't have to as well?

So, what do we do to prevent the disappearance in the "future"?

We need to move to functional consultants, make adjustments?

I'm getting paranoid.

Please share your thoughts on this.

Kind regards

JC

There are other cloud providers that do not necessarily handle everything for you.

As Pravin said, not everyone goes for the cloud.

Kind regards

Bashar

  • The Oracle Fusion product orientation

    Hello

I found a whitepaper retailer Weblogic Portal as the product of fusion portal, however, I am not able to 10.3 weblogic portal download on the product of fusion 11g download page (which has the oracle Portal).

What is the meaning for Weblogic Portal? This would be the product of fusion Portal? Any ideas would be very appreciated.

    Thank you
    Yohanna.

The statement of management for Oracle WebLogic Portal is here:

    http://www.Oracle.com/technology/products/WebLogic/Portal/PDF/wlp_10gr3_sod.PDF

For Oracle Fusion applications, which refers to the next generation of Oracle Applications (think Siebel, Peoplesoft, etc.), Oracle WebCenter is the Foundation for those. Oracle WebCenter interacts with Oracle WebLogic Portal to share portlets, WLP can use efficiently merger applications. However, if you are looking to build a Fusion 'Apps' application from scratch, I'd first look WebCenter.

    See you soon,.

I use jdeveloper 11 GR 2, so pls don't tell me to use jdeveloper 11 GR 1 material. because, I hv already developed an application for my final year of Bachelor and I can't migrate to the previous version. So there is only one way for me to generate the ear file and the deployment of the console.

    Thus,.
I m not getting what is the problem and what will be the solution for this?
    What should I do?
    What changes are required?

Please, help me out of this problem!

Well hosting Cloud Oracle ADF applications is for the ADF * 11.1.1-then you will not be able to deploy an application developed with * 11.1.2 thereon.
If you don't want to revert to the version support for JDeveloper, I suggest that you look in the other accommodation options.

  • Oracle ADF Application Social network in the user interface integration

    Hello

I'm new to ADF so that NSOS, I went through the tutorial of the ADF (development of RIA Web Applications with Oracle ADF) and heard a little.

My requirement is to integrate the Social network of the Oracle ADF web application user interface. I found the link "implementation Oracle integration of social networks - 11g Release 7 (11.1.7)" "

I find difficulty in the rest of the documentation, especially the pre-requisites.

    * I use JDeveloper version 11.1.1.7.0 and I downloaded all updates related to webcenter in my JDeveloper.

I would ask to add a few screenshots more that explain where to find the URL of network Social Oracle JDeveloper.

Otherwise a simple tutorial with screenshots would be a great help!

    Thank you

    MC.

MC, the documentation you are looking at is specific to the Fusion Apps integration with Oracle Social Network developers.  If you are looking to make the ADF development credits, including work against NSO then this is probably not the starting point.  You are a developer of Fusion applications, or you are already a customer Oracle Cloud Apps with a NSO and application that you are trying to extend?  If you could give a little more background on what you're trying to achieve, we will be able to advise the right path to take.

    Thank you, Andy

  • Get value connection user in the Fusion Applications to use it in the definition of work.

I have a working definition of custom applications of fusion that it contains a string attribute (textbox).

Is it possible to load into this text box, any value of the user logged in fusion applications? UID, email, user name, etc..

My last goal is to load a default value for a LOV according to this value, but I need to know how I can get it.

You create the functionality of JDeveloper, it's you set VO? If so for more information of the current user, you can optionally use SecurityContext, however your condition seems to be to get details about any user? For more complex needs, I think that you could possibly use OPSS user and role API, however note that this may require a bit of configuration and the permissions granted to your code to be allowed access to the API. There are also a few HCM tables available that could potentially use, see REL for more information on the tables PER_USERS, PER_ROLES_DN etc...

  • Components of Oracle Fusion Middleware 11 g R2 necessary

    Hi all
We are running Oracle Application server 10 g for applications developed using Oracle Forms/Reports and Oracle Portal.

We intend to migrate to the new version of Oracle Fusion Middleware 11 g R2 possible on a new server.

Can you please get listed Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g R2 components/products I have to install to run Oracle Forms/Reports and Oracle Portal applications?

I would appreciate if you could list the versions of these products and the sequence that I need to install.

Thank you so much in advance.

    Hello William,.

I'm afraid I can't say much forms/States with third-party identity management products. If I'm right (others please correct if I am wrong), SSO in forms and reports is via the mod_osso protected URL. So I guess that any product management identities which includes features URL protection, would be able to provide Single Sign-On.

Portal will be your bottleneck however as portal relies on the OID and Oracle produced Single Sign-On. Until December 2012, Application Server 10 g as Single Sign-On could be used. Currently, OAM 11.1.1.5 is preferred while 11.1.2 is currently be certified for Oracle Portal 11.1.1.6. It is impossible that I'm afraid.

My recommendation would be to check if you really need Oracle Portal as this will determine if you need to always keep OAM as identity management solution. Also, check with the Oracle License Department, FMW11g could come up with a license restricted in OAM 11g, you won't have a full license.

    Thank you
    EJ

  • Oracle Fusion Middleware Java QAnywhere for Oracle ADF Mobile

Where can I find "Oracle Fusion Middleware Java API Reference for Oracle ADF Mobile?

Thank you very much for your time.

Hi, this is a reference to the JavaDocs of the methods/classes supported by ADF Mobile Java. You can usually right (or ctrl) click on any method of specific Java ADF Mobile and select "JavaDoc". You can open a sample application that contains a Java class - for example the HR sample application, and find any method with the name "adfmf." You should be able to see the doc of Java for the ADF Mobile related methods/classes.
