Passing multiple arguments to a CFC

Currently, I connect to Coldfusion with a RemoteObject and pass a single argument. Is it possible to pass multiple arguments? Just add a comma separated by the argument list in the parens competence does not seem to work.

"" < mx:Application xmlns:mx = ' http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml ' layout = "absolute" creationComplete = "initApp (event)" >

-Block of Script.

private void initApp(e:Event):void {}
chartmth_RO.qMonthlyUsage (200804);
}
----
< mx:RemoteObject id = "chartmth_RO" showBusyCursor = "true" destination = "ColdFusion" source = "usagecenter_local.cfc.charts_usage_mth" >
< name mx:method = "qMonthlyUsage" result = "get_Result (event)" / >
< / mx:RemoteObject >

Once more I am kicking. You can pass multiple arguments in a CFC using a comma separate list the key is to encapsulate each string between apostrophes. So let's say I want to pass the arguments saleschart, fiscal year 2008, 300. The inside of my call parens jurisdiction would look like ('saleschart', 'exercice2008', 300).

I love it when an answer is revealed, but I hate when it seems so simple.

  • How to pass an argument of javascript to java extension

    Hello, I have an application running with a Java Extension.

    For the course of time, I only call some java extension methods (ScriptableFunction, but now, I have to pass the variable javascript (arguments) to the extension.

    I call a method with:

    // In: public final class MyCamera extends ScriptableFunction

    public Object getField(String name) {

        if (name.equals("getImage")) {
         return callGestorCamera.pushUICameraSnapshot();
        }

        return new String("do nothing");
    }

    and javascript :

    function getImage() {
        var name = mycamera.camera.getImage;
        return name;
    }

    and run correctly.

    But now I have to pass one argument, as some URL, and I don't know how to do.

    I try to move the handful of Java class to Javascript, something like this:

    // In: public final class MyCamera extends ScriptableFunction

    public Object getField(String name) {

        if (name.equals("getImage")) {
         return callGestorCamera.pushUICameraSnapshot();
        }

        if (name.equals("getObject")) {
         return callGestorCamera;
        }

        return new String("do nothing");
    }

    and javascript :

    function setUrl(url) {   var handle = mycamera.camera.getObject;        handle.setUrl(url);

        return true;}

    but is not running and try:

    mycamera.camera.getObject.setUrl(url);

    but does not work.

    What is the way?

    Thank you!

  • Is it possible to pass an argument to the function triggered by an event handler?

    Hi all
    Try to migrate my way of thinking in AS2 to AS3/CS4.
    OK, I have 2 buttons on the stage. Each button almost did the same thing, so I want to create a unique function, and each button calls this function even (we'll name this function 'Navigate')... However, the function will have to end up doing something different dependent on which button was clicked.
    If, previously, in AS2, I would have added the code on the buttons themselves with methods we (release) (see the SAMPLE CODE 1)

    Thus, each button calls the function efficiently navigate and transmits a different image to the function tag.
    Now, I try to recreate this feature in AS3. As you know, it (release) has been abolished (still do not know why), but we must now use event handlers, so I'll try to find a way to pass a different image to the function label argument to navigate. Currently, I can achieve that by using a switch statement to test which button has been clicked and act accordingly (see the SAMPLE CODE 2).

    In this simplistic example, this works very well, but in the real world, I have more than 2 buttons and the function navigate would probably much more complicated...
    So I would be able to pass an argument (as in the AS2 example) to the function to navigate... maybe in the addEventListener() method? I tried, but got compile errors (see the EXAMPLE CODE 3):

    The issue of the $ 1 Million:
    Is it possible to pass/change dynamically an argument to a function that is triggered by an event listener? (Or is the event that triggered the function the only argument you have?)
    If this is not possible, I would like to hear how you people it would handle (other than to have a switch with 12 cases in there)?

    I found a few solutions that I'll post below for prosperity...

    You can create a dictionary indexed by the targets of future events and store information in there you want to associate with them. Then the Navigate function check that the dictionary to get its parameters:

    Code.
    Button1.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, navigate, false, 0, true);
    Button2.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, navigate, false, 0, true);

    var buttonArgs:Dictionary = new Dictionary();
    buttonArgs [Button1] = "FrameLabel1";
    buttonArgs [Button2] = "FrameLabel2";

    function Navigate(e:MouseEvent):void {}
    gotoAndStop (buttonArgs [e.target]);
    }

    This to me, is about the same amount of work than writing a long, but a bit more elegant switch statement, I guess.

    I had a little trouble understanding the following solution, because I did not quite understand important information about event listeners. The addEventListener () method requires a function as the 2nd argument passed to it.
    It didn't quite click on until someone reminded me: Navigate is a function... Navigate("FrameLabel1") is a callfunction...

    So by writing simply navigate, I'm not actually calling the function when calling the addEventListener method, I'm just providing the event with a reference the name listener. Then, when the listener is triggered, the listener will call (and pass a MouseEvent argument to) navigate the function.

    Conversely, by writing Navigate("FrameLabel1") as 2nd argument, the event listener trys to run the function navigate both the addEventListener method is instantiated. And, since then, in this example, the function navigate returned as ": Sub" a compilation error would occur because as I said, an event listener requires a function as 2nd argument data type. This would be essentially as written addEventListener (MouseEvent.Click, Sub, false, 0, true)
    However, there is a way to get around this... basically, instead of setting the function navigate as returning an empty data type, you define a function to return data type and then nest another function (which actually contains the actions you want to run) on the inside.

    Button1.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, Navigate ("FrameLabel1"), false, 0, true);
    Button2.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, Navigate ("FrameLabel2"), false, 0, true);

    function Navigate(myLabel:String):Function {}
    return function(evt:MouseEvent):void {}
    gotoAndStop (myLabel);
    }
    }

  • Passing multiple values at the request of the State (no status page)

    Hello

    [APEX 4.2.4.00.08 on the 11.2.0.3 database]

    I didn't know how to explain briefly what I need in the title of the discussion, that's why I added the song "(non page rapport)". "  I met a lot of threads associated with passing of selections multiple values from one page to another, or via a URL from one page to another.  I know how to do this.  The problem I have right now is trying to pass the commas of the values contained in an application to a report query element.  Here's where the "(rapport non page) ' comes into play."  I refer to the report query at the level of the application (i.e. shared components-> report queries).  I wish really it had another name for it.  "Report on the application of queries", perhaps?

    In any case, my report query has a bind variable, AI_ID_NUMBERS, that is defined correctly in the shared-> components report queries. However, when this item application has multiple values such that AI_ID_NUMBERS = 4, 5, 6, 7 etc., my URL looks like this:

    myapexsite.com/f? p = 456:2:1234567890:PRINT_REPORT = report_1:AI_ID_NUMBERS:4, 5, 6, 7

    So, this returns only one record for the report where the identification number is 4, one.  I tried a string parameter of Substitution of Application (URL_REPORT_1) with the two following variants (for which both return only a single record):

    Substitution string = URL_REPORT_1 and Substitution value = f? p = & APP_ID.:0 : & SESSION. : PRINT_REPORT = report_1:AI_ID_NUMBERS: & AI_ID_NUMBERS.

    Substitution string = URL_REPORT_1 and Substitution value = f? p = & APP_ID.:0 : & SESSION. : PRINT_REPORT = report_1:AI_ID_NUMBERS:-& AI_ID_NUMBERS. \

    returns...

    myapexsite.com/f? p = 456:2:1234567890:PRINT_REPORT = report_1:AI_ID_NUMBERS:4, 5, 6, 7

    myapexsite.com/f?p=456:2:1234567890:PRINT_REPORT=report_1:::AI_ID_NUMBERS:\4,5,6,7\

    .. .respectively

    I really thought that the backslashes would have solved the problem.  Any ideas why my report request (PDF) returns only one line?

    Thank you

    -Seth.

    Well, too bad. I realized the mistake I did.

    When you work with 'request report queries', there is an option to include variable bind, for example the application or page elements.  I had already done that, but for some reason, thought that I also had to pass the parameter and its values in the URL.  This is not necessary since the report query query already has the issue of the application/page related to it.  The following URL works fine:

    myapexsite.com/f? p = 456:2:1234567890:PRINT_REPORT = report_1

    And, Yes, it's the URL that is provided when you set up a "application report query.  I was thinking too hard.

    1. is it possible to create a portlet that accepts multiple parameters?
    2. is it possible to map a portlet from method to method in the new application.
    3. is there an implicit event that can be passed when all parameters are passed to the portlet.

    What is my requirement:-I send some 4-5 (String) parameters of the new application for the purposes of the portlet.
    What would be the sequence in which would be called the setters of this parameters in the Portlet application?

    can you please me if this is possible and how to do it. A tutorial would be useful.

    Kind regards
    ND

    Your question is associated with WebCenter and you must request this in the forum {forum: id = 354}.

    Anyway, you can pass several parameters to a portlet. Set the parameters as parameters to the corresponding defined TaskFlow. When the taskflow is wrapped as a portlet producer by the JSF Portlet Bridge all taskflow parameters to expose as a separate navigation portlet settings. If you consume the portlet to a page, then the portlet parameters will be bound to variables PageDef and you can use these variables to pass values of parameter to the portlet. If you need to re - send the new parameter values when running, just set the corresponding pageDef variables and update the tag by PPR. Don't forget to mark the binding region of the portlet in the PageDef as RefreshIfNeeded, otherwise it will not get the new values and is not refreshed.

    Read the next article in the documentation on the use of the navigation settings to link contextual portlets:
    http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/E14571_01/WebCenter.1111/e10148/jpsdg_pages.htm#CHDJABHD

    If you have additional questions, please ask them in the WebCenter forums.
