Photoshop 7 and raw files

I have a Canon 30 d and Photoshop 7.  I would like to deal with raw photos, but don't know how to do it.  PS 7 says that it's an unreadable format.  Any suggestions?  Thank you!

I'm afraid you'll have to either use the DPP software supplied with your camera to do your raw processing and then save this software TIF images. Then, you can open these TIF pictures in Photoshop 7. The other alternative would be to find a raw processor that is freestanding and do the same process. Addition of Lightroom to your workflow would work. If you do your raw processing in Lightroom and then use Photoshop 7 as external editor.

He did not believe is plug-in for Photoshop 7. I understand, there is something available at the same time as a few compatible cameras. But there is nothing that I am aware of what you can add to Photoshop 7 which would allow you to work on your raw files.

It doesn't look like Camera Raw 9.1 is compatible with Photoshop elements 13. But you can download the 9.1 DNG Converter and create DNG copies that work with Photoshop Elements.

    Hello

When Photoshop cc supports raw files coming from the Nikon d5500 has been added?

IAM a happy Photoshop user, specially for my files raw... I find it frustrated that I can't work on my files at the moment...

    Greatings Danny

The d5500 has been added just launched and Adobe working on support. Can't say how long for sure, but it should be a month or two. Meanwhile, you can shoot in NEF + JPEG and set Camera Raw to open your JPEG files as well. Not much data, but will be better than nothing...

  • separating the jpg and raw files after import into lightroom 5

I would like to separate my jpg and raw files as soon as they are in lightroom (right after importation), so that all my jpg files are 1 after another on the Filmstrip below and my raw files are one after the other. is this possible?

In the grid view of the library, on the tool bar (T), replace "sort:" to "File Extension."

  • How to make my Jpg and RAW files into version sets (PSE10)

I take the two jpg and RAW files on my camera so most of the time, I am happy with jpg and do a little editing, but from time to time I need to really work on a picture which is the place where the RAW file is very convenient. In my photo well, I have 2 of each image displayed is to say the jpg and RAW. How can I get it appears only the jpg and RAW either hidden, or as a set of version collapsed? Have 2 of each photo makes the photo well look poorly maintained and full of duplicates.

    Help appreciated.

You have to stack pictures. Sets of version does not apply here.

  • Nikon View NX2. and RAW files

Put my pictures on my computer using Nikon View NX2, tried to open them in Photoshop, but get an error message that Photoshop can not open the file. Why?

What camera and model are the Raw files of?

What version of Photoshop are you using?

Older software Nikon are known to cause changes in the Raw files, which makes them unreadable to the Adobe software. Try to copy the computer camera Raw files without using software from Nikon. See if they will be open in Photoshop.

  • Why my Photoshop removed the Raw file directly from Lightroom instead of asking me if I want to edit a copy?

I used to get a pop up every time I tried to retouch a photo in PS asking if I wanted to do it on a copy with Lightroom adjustments and he created me a TIFF file, but now it takes just the RAW file. How can I get it back?

I use the terrible PS CC 2015 and LR CC2015

    Hi Manolo,

If you right click on the Jpeg Image in Lightroom and don't edit it in Photoshop, which gives you this opportunity.

If you reference the above option in the screenshot, you receive only when edit you a Raw image from Lightroom to Photoshop format.

  • Why don't my Lightroom changes transfer to Photoshop on my RAW files?

I am working in Lightroom 2015.2.1, Camera Raw 9.2 version and edit my photos with presets. When I go to "Edit in Photoshop", the option to do everything by saving Lightroom adjustments went.  When the file is opened in Photoshop presets and adjustments are gone. I'm operating Photoshop CC, Version 2015 9.20.486.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!

  • Cannot open Photoshop saved the RAW file in Photoshop...

I got back from my school library, where I was using one of the scanners to scan my negatives. I scanned the files directly in photoshop CS3. In hindsight, I would have absolutely saved in tiff format, which has worked before, but this time I saved the files in raw. It is Photoshop raw, not Camera Raw. I assumed that I could open these files on my computer at home (Photoshop CS4), but apparently I was wrong. If I try to open raw files, I get a dialog box called "Photoshop Raw Options" and if I tap 'OK', it tells me something about missing color profiles, so I give myself a picture of grey noise. If I change the settings in the dialog box (the files have been saved to 16-bit grayscale with Mac byte order), I thought that "specified image is larger than the file", and I can't open the image.

What is going on? Why I can't open in Photoshop files I just recorded in Photoshop? My past few hours have just been a total waste?

Yes, well enough, unless you know the exact size and can correctly fill required dialogs required to open a "raw" Photoshop file. You've discovered that the 'raw' format isn't related at ALL to Camera Raw. It's really a support to the format in the early years, used at the time where there weren't some formats of files available on some computer systems... and Yes, you SHOULD have used TIFF.

  • LR 5 and RAW file download to SD card

I have the LR old version 5 on my PC. Works well and I can download my RAW files from SD card reader, taken the Nikon D750. When I try the new iMac, it said that it does not recognize the format. Am I missing a step?

    Hi Ab,

Please make sure that you have Lightroom updated to the latest version 5.7.1 on Mac computer.

As the camera picture is supported in Lightroom 5.7 and above.

  • PSElements 6 and raw files

Is it possible to work with raw files in Elements 6?   I downloaded the latest DNG Converter application and the last raw plugin.  But neither seems to work with original RAW files.  I know that PES 10 works with raw files but I would try open my camera using PSE 6 premieres if possible.  (I don't want to open JPEGs in camera raw, but rather using raw native files in a camera that takes in charge the).  Thank you very much.

The latest DNG converter 6.5 should work for the coolpix P7000 files.

I do not have pse 6 installed, but the latest plugin for pse camera raw 6 is 5.5 or 5.6, according to

When you read about the adobe site, so maybe someone else who has PES 6 installed can check, but 5.5 should definitely work.

The way it works is that allows you to make copies of the p7000 raw files to dng format, which can then be opened in PES 6 the dng converter.

  • Can I merge a JPG and RAW file into a catalog and keep your changes?

I used to shoot RAW and JPG and always used to all copy in the same folder. That worked well, but was a bit pointless as the JPG served as only a temporary preview until the RAW was loaded in behind her. For the speed of editing events, I started to divide files in two separate folders and import, but tag and basic edits, crops etc. on jpg files, so for the use of the 'News' site, then work on any higher quality customer since the FIRST requirement. Would be nice if I could later merge the two together to make these fundamental changes - and sides etc - then were applied to the RAW files. They have the same names - bar extensions, of course - be renamed by LR import. I tried on a test session, but it just seems to add separate JPG and RAW images to the catalog. Is it possible to him have associated the RAW not published with the edited JPG?

    Guy

    Guy,

I don't want to get into or the not-so-rights of your workflow.

You can try Syncomatic Plugin from John Beardythat will synchronize the metadata and possibly develop settings between different file formats with the same (or similar) base name. Subsequently you can stack the Raws with JPEG files, possibly using Auto carpet when capturing".

But remember that application development parameters of a file to a Raw JPEG may not create the desired corrections, as the base is something completely different.

  • Color banding appears randomly in the nave in CC of Photoshop Lightroom CC and RAW file images. But in Windows 10 native image photo viewer looks in good condition.

    Photoviewer.JPG

    Lightroom.JPG

    You have corrupted images.

In the Windows Viewer you watch one embedded JPG which seems OK.

In Lightroom, you see the raw NEF and all the corruption.

You probably have a hardware fault camera, card reader, USB cable, hard drive failure.

  • How can I open my Camera taken with my EOS7 MK2 IN MY PHOTOSHOP CS5.1 RAW files?

    Any ideas anyone?

    The 7DII won't be supported in CS5.1.

You will need to upgrade to CC or the DNG Converter allows to convert the files if your copy of Camera RAW can open them. Its a free download from Adobe.
