Photoshop is not ready D90 images

Hello..

I'm a bit confused on this issue at this time and hoping that someone may already solved this problem. I shoot in raw, and for some reason, my photoshop CS4 can't read files from my Nikon D90. I tried to use Bridge CS4 download and convert to DNG and it says "convert to DNG failed." I use Adobe's DNG Converter I download on the site some time ago, but that adds, according to my shoot, anywhere between 5 and 45 minutes for my workflow... can some help or give me an idea where I can find the solution to this problem?

Lisa

Well, I'm not too familiar with Nikon, so I'm not too sure when the D90 came out. Leave your post I guess it came out after CS4. Since you are able to use the DNG Converter, there should be an update for CS4 that is available on the Adobe web site.

I got a new camera and Photoshop and Lightroom will not open Raw images with my new camera Canon 6 d help! I use Photoshop CS5 extended version. and Lightroom 3

    Good and bad news:

The bad news is you need CS6 or later version to open 6 d RAWs. (The 6 d did not support until Camera Raw 7.37.0 was created in CS6;) You can choose to upgrade (I recommend CS6 to jump and go straight to 2014 CC for $10 / month) * GOLD *...

.. the good new is that the DNG Converter can help you convert your RAWs in DNG for CS5 and Lightroom 3.

  • Lightroom "change in...» Photoshop CC"not conversion .tiff images, but opening the .dng in Photoshop instead. How can I fix it?

It worked 5 minutes ago, and then without changing a setting, it has stopped working.

Make adjustments in the latest Lightroom. GoTo picture/modify in Photoshop CC 2015. Up to 5 minutes or so ago, it would create a .tiff file that would open in Photoshop CC 2015.

Now it opens just the .dng, glancing at the Lightroom settings, it is set for .tiff. The only other option is .psd. Switching to still open the DNG in Photoshop. Someone has an idea what is the cause?

I opened a photo, it worked as it should. The next photo, .dng. Even the photo that previously opened as a .tiff now opens as a .dng.

Not sure if this is a problem of Lightroom or Photoshop problem.

    Hello

It's the normal procedure, a RAW file is processed by ACR in Photoshop when it is opened from Lightroom and the image in Photoshop window will display the name of the original file. See this image:

After having edited and adjust the image in Photoshop and select Save image when you close the file will be saved to Lightroom in color space and file format you chose in your Lightroom preferences.

This isn't a problem, it's normal LR-> Photoshop treatment, it would be open only in the file format selected, that is to say TIFF or PSD, if Photoshop had a different version of ACR (less) than Lightroom and Lightroom would make the file before opening in PS.

    Hi RuffCuts2,

Could you post the screenshot as well. In the meantime lets try to reset the Photoshop preferences.

Press and hold the keys Alt + Ctrl + Shift (Windows) or Option + command + shift (Mac OS) you launch Photoshop. You are prompted to delete the current settings. New preferences files are created the next time you start Photoshop.

Note: Using the preference files for custom shortcuts, keyboard shortcut, workspaces, and color setings will also reset to zero by default.

    Thank you

If I Zoom in an image appears a large black squares and I do not see the image, I use a CC 2015 Photoshop in a Mac, can anyone help me please?

There are three things to try. If this image has been opened through Adobe Camera Raw 9.0, unchecking the GPU in ACR preferences. 9.1 is up-to-date and should have corrected it.

Second: Photoshop Preferences > Performance > GPU settings advanced, tamp him drawing to this Basic Mode.

If it does not, uncheck the box "Use Graphics Processor" in Photoshop preferences until there is a fix.

I don't think that OSX allowed for graphics drivers updated by author GPU like Windows does.

  • Edited in Photoshop does not correctly display in Lightroom after recording the images

    Hello

I recvently EU cloud Adobe and upgraded from Lightroom 3 or 4.  Since the upgrade I had problems with Lightroom not correctly display images edited in Photoshop.  Instead of the photoshop image, it creates a new jpeg image and appears in the library.  the PSD is not loaded into the library.

I take a jpeg image of my library and shoosing the change based on Photoshop.  By selecting Edit a copy, I'm tried with the original and edit a copy with lightroom adjustments as well as with the same results.

In Photoshop, I duplicate the base layer, the image upscaling, running some filters, addition of volunteering adjustment layers.

I save the image in Photoshop format in the original folder where the original jpeg was in the Lightroom library.  I record with maximize compatibility on.

When I return to Lightroom, the catalog displays the two files, the original jpeg and a copy identical to it, NOT the new file in photoshop with alterations.  If I go in the folder images occupy in the Finder using the Finder command show two images link to the same original jpeg format.  The modified file to photoshop is there in the folder but does not appear in Lightroom unless I drag and drop it.

I've disabled all the filters and ensured that the sort is sort by name.  The image does not automatically appears in Lightroom after mounting.  Any suggestions?

    Thanks for any help!

PS. I'm not looking for the subject, and there are discussions since 2007 and lightroom 2 but their solution was to start from scratch basically and I have a carefully labeled, starred and labeled catalog of more than 30 000 images and really don't want to do that

Images that are edited in Photoshop will be displayed automatically in Lr only when the image file saved in Photoshop is identical to open LR.

You say you open a jpg of Lr, then edit in PS-among other things-adding a few layers. Layers are not supported in JPG format, so you must either save it as a psd or a copy in jpg.

In both cases, is not the same image as the one opened in Lr file, so it will have to be imported into Lr appears. If flatten you your image after editing in PS and then do a to your JPG - not a - it will be displayed in Lr.

PS: the only exception is when you open a raw image from Lr into PS and you save it to PS in the format of file specified in Lr for external mounting. The saved file is automatically displayed in LR.

  • Do not see my images in the Windows 7 preview pane

WHY CAN I NOT SEE MY IMAGES IN THE PREVIEW PANE WITHOUT HAVING TO RIGHT CLICK AND THEN SELECT PREVIEW OR JUST OPEN THE FILE? IS THERE A SETTING WHERE I CAN JUST HOVER CURSOR OVER THE ICON AND I CAN GET A PREVIEW OF THE PHOTOS? I'VE SEEN THIS DONE ON OTHER PEOPLES COMPS RUNNING WIN7

    * original title - PANE PREVIEW (PHOTOS) HELP!   PLEASE.*

You can't right click, you have to click once to highlight the file you want to preview.

However, you must have installed preview Manager program.  Windows can preview most of the images (jpg, bmp, gif), but others, like the photoshop files, need another program installed.
  • I do not see the image when I layer 2 images

I try to layer 2 in PS JPEG files and tried to open the 2 files and copy / paste it and also tried to drag and drop.  A new layer is created, but I do not see the image so that I can resize.  Went through all the tutorials and answers to similar questions but no luck.  Tired - I'm sure this must be a very simple thing to do.  Thank you.

I figured well tones to be involved, but with a jpg that wouldn't be a problem anyway.

What did you do for troubleshooting so far?

Restoration of preferences after checking all the presets custom like stocks, models, brushes etc. have been saved can be a good starting point:

    Hi I am,.

What version of Photoshop are you using?

I just bought the D500 and transfer images of the map using Nikon View NX - I

Do not convert the images, try to open them directly in Ps CC 2015

  • 2015 CC Photoshop does not recognize nvidia gt630m

    Hello.

I know it's a common question but I want to use all the power of my laptop.

So my laptop based on the Core i3 - 3110 m cpu and nvidia geforce gt630m gpu 2 GB, 8 GB of ram. 8.1 Windows x 64

    application version - Adobe Photoshop Version: 2015.1.2 20160113.r.355 x 64

version of the nvidia driver is 364.72

All the drivers are up to date.

The problem is Photoshop does not recognize the gpu nvidia and uses only integrated intel hd 4000 instead.

    intel.png

Well, I tried to manually select the gpu from nvidia Control Panel

    manage.png

and when I did - Photoshop not just recognition gpu, empty empty preference section:

    nvidia.png

also in these cases I get an error when you open any image:

    error.png

According to official information, my gpu (nvidia 600series) has been tested and should work fine.

Well, I found a solution in the forum of nvidia, but it's barbaric and disabled-switching automatic of the gpu on the entire system.

In addition, in Lightroom, all is ok:

    lightroom.png

I thank you for the attention, hope that my problem would be solved.

Well, ok, adobe support cannot resolve this problem, I got it.

I tried many things and spent some time on it. Program running as administrator, choosing gpu in nvidia Control Panel, install different versions of the drivers and all with cleaning system and the registry. Everything was useless. But.

    I found the solution.

I have uninstall Adobe Photoshop CC 2015.1.2 (20160113.r.355) - clean registry and install the previous version - Adobe Photoshop CC 2015 (20150722.r.168).

Figures that newest version of PS work well with nvidia gt 630 m, perhaps, it has not been tested at all.

He can hardly qualified as a solution but now Photoshop sees my gpu at least.

Hope Adobe will fix this problem in the new version of Photoshop. Maybe this can help someone.

    Best regards, wire.
