  You need iPhoto 9.6.1.  What version you have installed?

  My Iphoto has decided that it does not open or update.

  When I click on update it says "the object you requested is not available in the UK store.

  I followed the instructions on a similar problem, but when I go to purchased apps to remove it, it does not appear. When I then go to 'Show', this option is not available for me.

  I am currently using OS X El Capitan version 10.11.5, I think it is a recent update and could be a problem cause (but I don't really know)

  You need iPhoto 9.6.1 on El Capitan.  But you can only upgrade to iPhoto, if the version you are using a version installed from the AppStore or associated at least your AppleID on the AppStore.  If iPhoto came on installer DVD and you have not purchased it from the AppStore or he did not come preinstalled on your Mac with OS X Lion or newer, then you can is no longer up-to-date.  Apple has stopped the development of iPhoto, and update is no longer supported.  You can only reinstall versions of iPhoto you already own.  It is too late now to convert the DVD of iPhoto versions versions AppStore.

  I've updated my macbook pro 10.7.5 and I was also required to update my iPhoto. While updating my iPhoto, it stopped at halfway through with a warning saying, that it cannot be updated. However when I look at my info my iPhoto has been 9.2.1. However, the application does not open... when I click on it there is no bounce up and down?
